No chance of boring some of us. Absolutely incredible find. Can't wait to see what else you find there and really looking forward to seeing what's in the box!
How can you say we would be bored, I could have done with another hour of that, what a brilliant little sub the Fifish is, so durable. Can't wait for the next one.
What an amazing feature this claw is. Even though the hanger was not completly attached to it, it managed to hold it till the surface. Very nice! Keep with with the findings, so exciting
Well done for persevering on getting out the ammo box. Looking forward to the next videos and your finds from this place. As ever, thanks to you and your children!
Sitting at home looking at this video I knew what you had found the first time I saw it. A little hard for you dealing with controlling the ROV and the reflection on your screen. You were lucky that the handle moved easily so you could grab it and even more lucky that it didn’t come off till it was on shore. As I said last time I watched this video, I find myself mentally helping you recover that ammo box. Still exciting to see these videos again.
Where else can one watch a WW2 History clip, combined with an awesome sense of humour/humor. Beautiful sunrise at the beginning, followed by some very beautiful scenery. Yes, that elderly gentleman at the beginning probably could tell you so much more. It would have been something to see, the German, Danish, and Allied soldiers standing watch together. Great find the ammo box. Also, the round object does look like a helmut. Anxious to see the undertaking of the restoration project. Have to say though, you could have done with a little assistance from your second in command EE. I bet you didn't really regret this little adventure, we sure didn't. And boring!!!! You have got to be kidding boring you are not, most entertaining and knowledgeable you are. Have so much more to catch up on. Again thanks again for sharing HH.
Great to learn history form elderly people as they very often possess details never heard of before. This time it was just that what made the day i guess. We are going to present ammo box and helmet and more in resto project videos coming up. Thanks again Laura for your wonderful replies and support.
might wanna open that box, as it looked like the oil was coming from the box. chances are, it is an MG cleaning kit (outside looks exactly like the ammo boxes) and it could contain an oil bottle which is leaking
Reminds me of the grabbers you have on fairs filled with stuffed plush toys :D As you grabbed it some WWII air was escaping from it. Amazing this thing was airtight for 75 years...
Greeting from Murfreesboro, TN, home to a very large Civil War battle from Dec 31, 1862 - Jan 2, 1863. I would love to have that FiFish to check out the river and lakes around here.
Awesome, you were right History Hunter, that V6S is the beginning of great things. Its unimaginable to think of the stuff under water that's been there since the war. My palms were sweating for you hoping that box would stay on the grabber 👏
It might be only 23cm of water but how far down would you sink into the mud ! Other than that it is a good idea ! If it is anything like ponds or lakes here in Kansas you could sink almost knee deep in mud !
Well Paul it is not about if getting wet , it is about having the chance to survey many places without having to get wet. I didnt know anything was there and then it is the Loooooong way back,,in 7 deg C rainy weather...Thanks
I was always taught as a kid not to go swimming in mountain lakes like these, bottom could be mud, could be deep deep and also freezing................
Such difficult conditions! Wow and then you managed to pull up a machine belt box. Another great story and adventure into the past. Looking forward to the next underwater surprises. Greetings to all.
Very simple, get a strong magnet with a nylon rope and put that on the claw of the ROV. When you find something you can open the claw release the magnet at the item and pull the nylon rope to the shore
Wow those plates cleaned up really nice! The basket you made works great! Thanks for sharing with us enjoyed watching and hearing your excitement! I was trying to help grab the plate as well!😂
Arrrrrgh, you and your cliffhangers!!! Dude!!! Hurry up and post Part 2, I'm dying here!!! I could have watched this all day, the Fifish is amazing! 😊💖
Cannot wait to see what else you found in that lake. So amazing finding that ammo tin just waiting for you. It looked like there was at least one helmet sitting there on the bottom too. Pity you couldn't carry your magnets with you too. That lake is definitely worth more than one visit. Bring on part 2! Cheers, and thanks, Stay Safe!
You sure have a way with making these videos exciting. Am all tensed up trying to mentally help you get that ammunition box up. Super cool find. You probably would have liked to dive in to get that if it came off. Can’t wait to see what else the FiFish finds in this location and others. Never bored watching your videos.
Maybe carry a spring closing clip on a line in the gripper to grab objects so you don't have to worry about the weight to recover it. A good long handled fishing net would be handy too.
Just upgraded from V6 to V6S. I have a 3 acre pond built over an 1850s california gold mine. Should be loads of fun. I miss living in UK and searching all the old bunkers back in the late 60s early 70s. Stuff was still there.
23:34 what you can do to protect your ROV is something they call 'threading the needle'. Get the Fifish to take out a rope or small grappling hook to things like this. Use the manipulator jaws to ATTACH the rope then PULL!!. Ive seen them do this on documentaries underwater! It say sits only 0.67m DEEP so you could wear waders and go in. YOU HAVE TO OPEN THE BOX HH!!! I reckon that is an UNOPENED FULL MG ammo box! I bet BBG hooked a Tiger tank!! WE CAN NEVER GET BORED with your exciting shows.👍👍👏👏👏👈👈
What an amazing story at the beginning with that old man. I would have had to take him to a pub, buy him a beer and a counter lunch and talked to him about those times. He sounds cool. Amazing explore. Man I thought you were going to lose your drone as well, that water was bad but considering what you found, worth it. Great vid. Take care brother.
Greetings from Finland. One good idea could be to tie a rope with a mechanical hand to pull heavy objects from the bottom. taped to the cable, it would not impede movement, but when pulling objects, the pull would be applied to the rope instead of the cable.
I was thinking the same thing........"well, that kinda voids the warranty......" :) I like the others' ideas of carrying a magnet with a separate rope in the claw to drop it onto the object. You could even use something like fishing downrigger quick release clips to keep the rope attached to the tether until it is pulled free to pull up the magnet.
Thank you for a fantastic adventure and seeing some amazing finds ! I know that you will be going back to see if you can get more stuff ! Take care , stay safe and healthy wherever your next adventure takes you ! Doing well here in Kansas .
Young people from the war can now tell you a lot about what happened then. You make it tight, after 75 years there are still air bubbles coming out of the MG box. The cable of the ROV is strong.
Just love to watch your adventures... I had some trips by myself and found some amazing things, too... Airplane ammo shells, dogsigngs and so on... Just great
This is great, I knew when you'd take this to the lakes it would pay! I bet there are amazing details in the lakes you have been, your just going to have to revisit them all!
To prevent the cord or plug breaking, when in a similar situation! (Too heavy) look to see if there is an anchor point on the fifish body/frame to attach a fine stainless steel wire, to utilise as & when, ie scout it out, then attach the wire, recover History simples! Keep them coming, the stories & vids are, as the Americans say “Awesome” Stay healthy stay safe?
Pause the video around 26:00 , you'll see the tether loops around the top handle like fin. Also they recommend when grabbing heavier objects like this to pull from the tether, its made from kevlar and is rated for 80kg
I know that has to be hard precisely controlling the Fifish but you do it very smooth. For big stuff maybe an Amsteel grapple line with a small float several feet above the grapple hook and several small rings for the Fifish to grab between the hook and float. Use the Fifish to snag the object with the hook, then pull it up with the Amsteel line. I am thinking about large items such as the motorcycle or such. Love your videos.
Bored? NO WAY! Very entertaining and great find! Cant wait to see the upcoming episodes. Maybe one of your kids should operate the Fifish? You know with all the video games these days they probably have better coordination than we do ! LOL ! Great that you were able to talk to someone from that time period to provide you that information. I do have one question, was the belt and cartridges inside the ammo box or empty with water like you mentioned in the video? Thanks again for sharing!!!!! Be safe!
Just a suggestion See if you can change the led lights or add different LEDs that can change color. When you have different colors you can see better in different waters. I noticed an amber color works well for greenish colored waters. Light yellow, orange and even red work better in brownish colored waters. Great videos. Thanks for sharing
Hello History Hunter Very good place thanks for your work and keeps us with you on these adventure I am looking forward to see what comes up All the best Yours Frank
That was so suspenseful! Holy Madonna, indeed, my friend! That ROV is just incredible. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us. I love your videos. Please keep your outstanding videos coming and God bless you and your family, my friend!
The ROV losing his grip could be caused by the fact you shut it down before lifting it up..... I can imagine the gripper would try to keep it's set position but is not able because its shutdown from his power source.... (try manually open the gripper when its shutdown and try the same when it is powered up) overall again great adventure!!! Keep up the great work!!!!
no , the gripper is static holding no matter if the power is on or off. Once you have closed it it acts the same toque through the gripper arm. it has same resistance trying to manually opening it with or without power. Thanks for watching.
If this hasn’t been recommended. It would be a good idea to attach paracord to the carry handle to the ROV for pulling it in rather than using the tether. But that was probably already said. Looking forward to more in this series! Now I want to save up for one of these ROVs! 👍😁
Great video as always! I wanted to know are you going to be going back to that “spooky” forest again to set up cameras to see if you and Eagle eyes catch anything on film like you that one time before? That was some really strange things you caught on camera too! Love your videos! Keep up the great work!
I would have loved to see the SMILE on your face when you brought this Holy Madonna artifact on to shore. Certainly the depth would not have been a problem but how to scale the rocks? You needed your daughter or EE to assist on this find. I'm already looking forward to the next videos you will be sharing with us Till then Be Safe Be Well and Be Careful.... A Canadian admirer and constant viewer.....
If there is not a mesh screen over the motors the grass could get in them and bind them up ! If so you might want to fit a mesh with small holes in it to help help keep the grass out of the motors !
Pause the video around 26:00 , you'll see how the tether loops around the top handle like fin. Also they recommend when grabbing heavier objects like this to pull from the tether, its made from kevlar and is rated for 80kg for those who might be worried about the tethers integrity.. its perfectly fine 😎
Well done brother. That little SUV put it's heart into pulling that out. I would say that they tossed anything and everything in there. Not deep enough for a lost panzer though. Stay safe out there.
No chance of boring some of us. Absolutely incredible find. Can't wait to see what else you find there and really looking forward to seeing what's in the box!
Appreciated Jeff and greetings from us.
Go for the round thing, i think its a helmet
next episode will show more my friend. Thanks
How can you say we would be bored, I could have done with another hour of that, what a brilliant little sub the Fifish is, so durable. Can't wait for the next one.
I agree his videos could never be to long, fantastic channel.
thanks for that and more to come soon my friend.
Once again your images of the scenery in your opening credits is just gorgeous. Makes one sit back and realize the beauty that can be all around us.
Wow , thanks for that Joe and yes nature is so powerful. Greetings from us.
What a nail biting experience! So glad you persevered and got the box!
Yes it was and we loved ot find that :)
I cant get enough of your content man, keep up the good work!! Love seeing these videos!
Very glad to read that and thanks for watching.
Anytime, cant wait to see more ww2 treasures 😁
What an amazing feature this claw is. Even though the hanger was not completly attached to it, it managed to hold it till the surface. Very nice!

Couldn't agree more and a great tool it is. Thanks for watching.
Well done for persevering on getting out the ammo box. Looking forward to the next videos and your finds from this place. As ever, thanks to you and your children!
Quite a little battle it was and thanks for that Sue.

He he , there you go :)
Well done, a nail biting extraction. Part two is eagerly anticipated.
Thanks for watching.
Wish u could do much longer videos ,I love watching ur adventures ,I would never get bored ...
Lots more to come so only time will tell. Thanks Joanne
15:02 :) i hear you haha! Great attempt and efforts my friend!
That ammunition box in viking restoration would be awesome
Thanks my friend :)
This place would be a great magnet fishing area you could cover more ground that way in this situation
Not a bad idea
Just be careful you dont want to piss off any live ordnance that area was muck and over growth so there is potential in the muck
Exactly what I was thinking......
If he gets the magnet tressel with the 2 500lbs magnets on it thats good spot
You had me on the edge of my seat with that grab!
i know and we might get back there later :) Thanks.
might wanna open that box, as it looked like the oil was coming from the box.
chances are, it is an MG cleaning kit (outside looks exactly like the ammo boxes) and it could contain an oil bottle which is leaking
Will be opened later in a special video :)

Yes a great image that. Thanks Mary and lots more coming up.
23cm of water - just wade in and get the ammo box!
It might be only 23cm of water but how far down would you sink into the mud ! Other than that it is a good idea ! If it is anything like ponds or lakes here in Kansas you could sink almost knee deep in mud !
23cm plus knee deep is risking getting wet nuts ... definitely not worth it 🧐

ok and thanks Tapsa.
Cracking suspense HH, brilliant find and cannot wait till next video 👍👍
Glad to read that and thanks
If there FiFish manufacturer was watching I bet they were cringing when you were pulling all that weight with the tether! Lol
Not at all , the tether can handle 10 + kg at any time my friend and actually supposed to be used in such way. Thanks for watching.
That's awesome it's built that tough!
I was thinking the same thing........"well, that kinda voids the warranty......" :) I like the others' ideas of carrying a magnet with a separate rope in the claw to drop it onto the object. Secure a nylon rope to the ''t'' handle on the Rob so you can retrieve whatever you find that might be too heavy. Keep it going, mein friend!
Thanks Louis

You make it tight, after 75 years there are still air bubbles coming out of the MG box.
The cable of the ROV is strong.
yes a great tool it is that Fifish V6S. Cant wait to show you more :) Thanks Oma
You had me on the edge of my seat for most of that video. I think I was more excited than you were. I'm hoping to see an unboxing video soon.
Hope you enjoyed it and thanks for watching.
Could the " Elderly Guy " , have been one of the kids ?
i thought about that but i really dont know. Thanks Anthony.

Yes it can take a pretty heavy load indeed. Thanks

Well done brother. That little SUV put it's heart into pulling that out. I would say that they tossed anything and everything in there. Not deep enough for a lost panzer though. Stay safe out there.
