      Have you been to the Channel Islands yet? The Channel Islands are a group of islands in between England and France. We have done up most of the bunkers and some have German drawings on!!!😊

    What an amazing moment that was. Seeing the nose, and engine, of the Ju 52 appear out of the "mist". Just an incredible sight. The light coloured panels on either side of the nose are the Ju 52's unit emblem, an Ace of Hearts. Belonging to III/KG.z.b.V. Definitely one of THE best dives ever from the Fifish, and her brilliant operators! What a great team. And what a great find. The Germans obviously stripped everything from the planes before they sank in the melting ice, windows, instruments, cargo, propellers, everything that wasn't nailed down, but what they left is so amazing to see. So glad that you found her, and managed to get a least a little time on station. Again, brilliant work from a brilliant team! Thank you both so much from bringing this amazing place, and amazing find, to us! Cheers to you all!

    How absolutely agonizing being right at the end of the tether and finding such a magnificent bit of history, I could hear the pain in your voice too "just 1 more meter eagle eyes". I got the same vibes from this as when you found the crankshaft in the forest and was on the edge of my seat the whole time. thank you both for the time and effort you put in

    • @WW2HistoryHunter
      @WW2HistoryHunter  11 месяцев назад +6

      yes EE was all on the edge of the lake and if the aircraft would have been a couple of mor meters away we would never had seen it. The crankshaft is a future story now that EE has gotten older and we can get it out from there :)

    You found it!!! Awesome video of the wreck on the bottom!! 232 feet underwater is a long way down! I am amazed at how well preserved the wreck is - is it due to cold water? The interior looked empty so I guess they unloaded it before it sank. It would be interesting to see if someone could salvage this thing and preserve it. Great job bringing this to us!! Another great adventure into the past!! First class effort from you HH and EE!! Stay safe and stay well!!

    • @WW2HistoryHunter
      @WW2HistoryHunter  11 месяцев назад +1

      Indeed we did Donald and yes we think that the very cold water in the area helps to preserve it but also buries it due to moving sand and silt. It was most likely unloaded before it sank and i would loved to see somebody salvage that thing. Thanks for your great support Donald that enables us to do what you see here :)

      These Planes were used in an resupplymission in April 1940 for german troops in Narvik . The mission was planed as a oneway mission. The Airplanes sank when the icecover of lake melts. There were no interieurs in the planes to put as much cargo in it as possible.

    Congratulations on your amazing 70m dive and the discovery of the Junkers. It was absolutely sensational to see the cockpit. Thank you EE for encouraging HH to continue the search. I was holding my breath as the shadow appeared and then... there it was!!!! It is not just luck HH, you work incredibly hard to pin point locations. So looking forward to the next explore!!

    Fantastic find. That JU-52 looks in great shape for being underwater for so long. Too bad you didn’t get to see any markings in the fuselage.👍

    Amazing! You are now collecting quite a few one of peices of history, it’s amazing to see your dedication come to fruition - maybe next time bring a blow up paddle boat that way you would have more time even if you drifted? It would be interesting to also here your analysis into why it came down in more depth or a fly by of the wreck? Just thoughts. Great video as always!

    For this aircraft to be underwater this long, it’s in very good condition. So many features to see on this aircraft. It really something to see the controls still in the cockpit. I was amazed to still see the door still on the aircraft . It as if the ice melted and the plane gently settled to the bottom. Am sure you were wishing you had a few more meters of tether to get around the whole plane. Another great adventure.
