    I have stage 2 lobular cancer with it in my nodes too, previously had distal cancer 6 years ago bit different this time. Surgery first mastectomy and reduction on right side. For symmetry then chemotherapy and radiotherapy 9 months out of work. I love your sense of humour and whole way of dealing with it with courage I could never do these diaries but glad you are. Thank you from a 65 year old grandma from UK ❤❤❤xxxx

    Thank you for making this. I've watched some of your videos already and they've been very helpful with your positve attitude and honest experience. I was diagnosed January 14th2022. I discovered the lump on 12/30/21 ( my 61st birthday) and had it confirmed by touch on December 31st 2021. Immediately scheduled the diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound for January 12th. The radiologist read the ultrasound immediately and said I need biopsies that day as he would be surprised if they were not both cancer. One is in the breast and the other the node. Both the same side.. it is invasive ductal carcinoma stage 2 estrogen-positive with lymph node involvement. I just finished the AC part and start taxol next week. My journey is going to be same as yours with chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, hormone therapy. Both tumors have shrunk 50% after finishing the first part of chemo. They were 3 cm each to begin with.
    Chemo has been hard and I'm worried now how it will be with taxol. I'm glad it's doing its job and reducing the size. Your videos give me hope. As I continue on this journey I plan to watch them. I'm glad things are going well for you now. I hope and pray that my journey is successful. Thank you again for sharing your experience

    I find it ridiculous that drs place so much weight on age and family history for breast cancer. Breast cancer in younger women is becoming more common and is usually very aggressive. Researchers aren’t sure why more young women are getting it, but they are. Also, 85-90% if all breast cancer is in women with no family history so why do you have to have a family history for drs to take us seriously?

    • @gingerspiceandeverythingni4252
      @gingerspiceandeverythingni4252 5 лет назад +2

      It's true that cancer in younger women is becoming more and more common nowadays. However in my case, it's not that women with family history being taken more seriously than the one who don't have.. But because it will have big influence on what further steps my doctors will take. If I have family history, my doctors will strongly suggest double mastectomy and recomendation to take out the ovary too. If I don't, then they will do lumptectomy or mastectomy of the infected breast. Other than that, chemotherapy, radioterapy & hormonal terapy are still being suggested if my lymp node is not clear.

    Sorry for your cancer, I had stage 4 colon cancer twice, did surgery, and chemo, which was hard, the 24th Dec, I found out I do have Pancreas cancer, looking to see my Oncologist this coming next week, I want you to be strong have faith in God, do you have a port, its much better then a Pic line. Make sure you get Zofran for your nausea. I took 14 months of chemo, 6 days a week. It was terminal, so I did aggressive treatment, it was hard, I was almost at my 4 yr mark, if you can get past 5 yrs your good. Many Blessings to you and yours.

    I had Stage 3b with 8 lymph nodes that went as far as my lymph nodes in my axillary and collarbone nodes. Plus 2 that were positive, were clumped together so that raised my chances of it spreading. And like you, I was I was Highly ER/PR positive and HER2 negitive. I actually had 3 tumors in my left breast, and grouping of cells in my right breast. The tumors in my left breast were all different types of breast cancer. my largest was about 4 cm and was the one they based my stats on. It was invasive ductal carcinoma, the second and third tumors were not sized after I had my chemo, during my mastectomies. At that time one was a 1 cm invasive lobular carcinoma, and the other was a 1/2 cm ductal carcinoma in situ. I always wonder how I had all of that cancer in one breast, when I was barly a size 34aa. LOL! After my implants, I am actually bigger now. But I am still only an 34A. Anyway, you said that you had an implant injection to stop the estrogen,since you are estrogen positive. I've never heard of that before. Here in America, or at least when I was going through treatment in 2010-2012, they typically give you tamoxifen to take if you are premenopausal, or an Aromatase inhibitors for postmenopausal women. I first was given tamoxifen, because I was only 36 yrs old and of course, not ready for menopause yet. Just like you. But after 2 months, it turned out I was allergic to it. So because I was so highly estrogen-positive, and already had three children, I was offered to have a bilateral oophorectomy, and had my fallopian tubes removed, to force me into menopause. Then I was able to take the Aromatase inhibitors. And believe it to not, I beat that cancer! I do have a totally different terminal cancer now. But at least I can say that I Beat Breast Cancer! But honestly, it there was something I could have had injected into my body, to keep the production of estrogen away, instead of what I had to go through the surgeries, I would have chosen that. Maybe they didn't have that available at that time. So I am glad you that is an option now. I did also have dose dense AC/Taxol just like you. I had bilateral Mastectomy with expanders placed at the same time. Then Rads, and I tried the tamoxifen right after I stopped the chemo, before Rads. I had my bilateral oophorectomy, and had my Fallopian tubes removed 4 months after Rads ended. Then, believe it or not, I had to have my gallbladder removed sometime in there too. Then after 6 months, I had my expanders remove, and implants placed. I never had any nipple reconstruction or tatoos because I didn't want anymore surgeries. Then for the next 2 yrs was off and on different aromatase inhibitors. However, I ended up stopping them, due to the immense side effects. They are not ease! But I have always been more sensitive to medication. So most people do well on them. As for the genetic side of breast cancer? My paternal grandmother, and her daughter, my aunt, also had breast cancer. But neither me or my aunt have the genes. And on my moms side, 2 of her sisters had early stage breast cancer. and I am pretty sure one had ovarian cancer. And my mom had pre cancerous tumors on her overies when she was in her 40's, which caused her to have a hysterectomy. Plus her mother died from colon cancer. And although no genes have been detected yet, I am certain there has to be some kind of genetic factor here. I will keep you in my prayers!

      Tammy Grosso wow! That is one heck of a story Tammy! You have really been through so much! I’m so sorry you had to endure those surgeries because of the Tamoxifen issues. The Zoladex injection is in addition to the hormone therapies - it “puts the ovaries to sleep”. So don’t worry - it isn’t something that could have saved you those surgeries xx
      Thank you for sharing your story and for being so supportive! I am so happy to hear you beat the breast cancer - you truly are a fighter!! Your children must be very proud!
      Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts x You’ll be in mine!

    I was schedule to have 17 chemos on chemo 15 I began to feel a sharp pain in my breast 5 days later I felt the lump. I am schedule to have a mastectomy in 4 days; I am so confused and disturb that after going through chemo and ALL the side effects I am going back like the beginning when I was diagnose with inflammatory breast cancer 3. I have been all along, have a 41 years old daughter with special needs, I can only think about her, what's going to happen to her? Have a 33 years old son that has been distant regarding this process has not expressed any concern about my daughter or me. If it was not for her existant I would not bother, but she exist and I have to pick up my pieces and make myself again. Thank you for your videos and the opportunity to write on your blog.

      How did I find out I had breast cancer? I found lumps. But by that stage it had been there for a year. The very first sign was chest pain that did not go away. There are many symptoms other than lumps, you can find this information online. In Ireland, you visit your family doctor with your symptoms. They refer you to a Breast Clinic and you will wait some time (depending on what risk category they put you into at triage). You get an Ultra Sound, Mammogram and Biopsy if necessary. If you are worried at all... I would strongly recommend that you get a check. Not trying to scare you at all! I just mean better safe than sorry... I wish I'd found mine earlier!

    The government does not encourage mammograms? All American women are encouraged to get a mammogram. (Baseline) Sounds like good advice but unless your income is at poverty level or if you don't have expensive insurance you will accumulate massive debt! If you are lucky maybe a group will have a fundraiser in your behalf to help defray costs,
