- This was how I chose my wig. I went to Pink Ribbon Wigs - this is not an ad or sponsored at all, this was a choice I made on my own and I am DELIGHTED I went with them.

Hey georgeous! I know that I'm a bit late and you have already chosen your wig/lost your hair but I thought I could help out with your next one (if you need to get another)! I went through my own hair loss because of chemo late last year (I'm about half way through treatment now), tried a lot of wigs and even had a Jon Renau wig custom made for me. I have found that wigs from these brands are ridiculously over priced and not very realistic looking for the most part (the one you went with is beautiful though).
The most realistic wigs are lace front wig made with human hair (or full lace wigs with a lace front if in budget). These can be styled away from the face and don't need bangs! If interested, check out videos on brands like Uniwigs and RPGshow, usually made by African American girls however there are also some videos by Caucasian girls. The most important thing here is that the lace should be the transparent colour which can be made by these brands if requested.

Dee Doherty I have to have 6 months of chemo which started early December last year. Long time! I was very happy to pass the halfway point a couple of weeks ago because it means I'm on the home stretch and I'm also quite good at managing side effects now so less unpleasant!
Ellie Andriotis wow 6 months is a long time. What was your diagnosis?
Dee Doherty I have Hodgkin's Lymphoma which is responding fantastic to chemo so at least all the discomfort is for something! I have chemo every 2 weeks.

Did your hair grow back? I've heard that it can be a different color or texture.
It's great that the wig store let's you take some home to decide. It's a big decision. To be honest you look beautiful in all of them.

First of all I'm sorry that your battling disease. Could you wear a pretty scarf? I don't know if a scarf would stay on your head. They do make scarfs for cancer patients.

The human hair ones are more expensive than the synthetic which really aren't too bad-
