Does all tanks needs a filter and co2 or there is a way to keep them crystal clear without a filter?

this tank is GORGEOUS, great job. just wanted to ask, do you vacuum it to clean it? won’t that mess up the substrate layers? or do the plants consume all the waste so there’s no problem?
We don't vacuum the substrate. There is a substrate tutorial on this channel, as well as a maintenance tutorial, you might want to check those out. Cheers.

How do you get water flowing to the carpet plants without disturbing the betta ?

Hey so...keeping a betta without a lid hasn’t been a problem here?
Also hot tip I use a small cup and line the edges with a dark coloured substrate when I am adding a bacteria layer in the middle so there is no stray grains. :)
None of my betta tanks have ever had kids and I haven't had a single fish jump out

Hey Green Aqua how do you guys keep up with changing your substrate such as the soil you guys use in the tanks that are heavily planted!I was just wondering don’t you have to change the soil every one in a half to two years because it slowly release its nutrients and all that good stuff if I am correct?
You can always refresh the soil after a couple of years by adding substrate additives (capsules), but most aquascapers would probably rescape their tanks to have a new layout and see something different as they grow tired of the same scape. This would mean putting the fish in a bucket, hanging the external filter on that, and taking the tank completely apart, and adding new substrate in (saving plants and hardscape).

Gruber looks just like my Betta Splendens Enso. Perhaps he'd like some Neon Tetra tankmates like Enso has, the colour combination looks fantastic against a planted aquarium in my opinion.

Well, you'll have to know that in non-native English speaking countries is not as offensive, it is more badass... :) He does everything in that shirt. Before that he wore the buda fckn pest tee. Haha. Anyway, this was meant to communicate that mother nature can be unforgiving at times, and that we should be humble in front of its wonders.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about. You probably could, the water pump would just pump the CO2 enriched water into the tank and voila.💡

Thanks! Yeah, these fish need a proper tank with proper filtration too. I'm sure many of these little fish are kept in bad conditions, but let's also say here that it's not the couple of days they're kept there that hurts, but the message. People will think that's the way to keep them. We always tell everybody to have a proper tank for them (and keep them in a properly filtered special tank).

Did people seriously complain about the gloves causing extra waste? Hospitals/dentists/medical centres/vets go through many millions more gloves than do a few aquascapers.
People complain about everything all the time - that's the nature of publicity. Don't call women girls, don't wear gloves they're toxic, don't have sharp branches they'll hurt the fins, don't swear on the t-shirt, don't... Honestly, I can't even say they're wrong. Actually their concern is very founded. But we're really trying hard to have a minimal ecological footprint and to take care of fish and their environment. That's one of the main goals with aquascaping - this is why there are almost no diseases with our fish in the gallery, etc. It's a touchy and dangerous subject this one, I would just chill, and enjoy the nature instead of getting into topics like this.
By the same argument, it’s ok to commit murder because loads of other people do it.
The gloves used by the professions you mentioned are for sanitation reasons, not because people don't want to wash their hands after playing with substrate/plants... They literally work with water all day... Wash without soap, or with an all natural soap.
Guys, chill. We will use reusable gloves. It's ok, really. Focus on aquariums please.
@@xKrispyx im an ecologist, its literally my job to study ecosystems, so let me explain why he should wear gloves. His gloves are for sanitary purposes. Even if you wash your hands, you still have millions of bacreria on your skin and in your pores. Even using hand sanitizer wont kill all of it. Some of this bacteria includes listeria, ecoli, salmonella, and a fun little bacteria that causes boils. You also have fungus living on your skin, like ringworm. Oh and lets not even get into the mites that eat your natural oils. Now these fun little things dont hurt you because youre a human living topside, interacting with this stuff on a daily basis. Your species has spent millions of years evolving to have an immune system that is very capable of fighting this stuff off. The fish, well his species evolved in small pools with very little change to enviroment. This is why fish are so sensitive to everything from temperature, to ph. Their enviroments are so stable, they never had the need to evolve past these stable environments and adapt to fluctuations. Now then, given that this is an enclosed enviroment that cant just wash bad things away, doesnt it sound like a good idea to protect the fish from the nasty things living on you?
This nano aquarium must have been magnificent when it matured !! Of course, just like all the other aquariums at Green Aqua !! Brazilian hugs !! 🙌🏼✌🏼🇧🇷

I was halfway through the video until I realized the Betta was the one talking 😅
One of the best videos I've ever watched. Tommy is...The MAN! So he went over by 2 minutes...not many people make an outstanding aquascape in an hour or two hours and have it look that good. Sarcastic, talking fish made me laugh so hard. It's what I think my fish might sound like. 😂 I have 3 betta tanks and 3 beautiful bettas.

Thanks! We actually made quite a few 60 cm (16 gallon) tank videos on the channel. We're not big fans of non-standard sizes when it comes to aquascaping. We find it easier to add lighting, filter, etc. to standard aquariums.
