@Its birdcatkity Yeah, keeping betta fish together is definitely hard to do and not recommended for most people. Hopefully she'll let you just keep one betta someday. 🙏
When I had my male beta, I had him in a 5.5 gallon tank (later upgraded him to a 10 gallon when Petco had their $1 a gallon sale) with three Harlequin Rasboras and two snails. I have the same type, a red veiltail. After doing a water change, I'm sitting here wondering if I should give him some tank mates. He's in a 55 gallon with a few mystery snails. This tank is more of a plant tank but he seems lonely to me? I just haven't been brave enough to offer up a few possible sacrificial lambs, or fish, to try. 🙄
I had a Betta with an angel fish and a few other tetras, and the beta and angel were always hanging out together. It was really beautiful to see them peacefully swimming around together in the tank.
My female Betta is absolutely in love with her Cory best friends, she basically lays on them and even shares shares when she tries their pellets, it's such a fascinating thing
Did you have a planted aquarium? I have a male betta one a 20 gallon planted aquarium and he has 6 tank mate ottos but they kind of just swim up and down the sides and hang on the plants. I think he is getting bored and I want to get him a friend that will swim. Thought about Cory’s but I heard they uproot plants a lot.
my favorite has to be African dwarf frogs. I have a half moon betta in a 10 gallon tank (38 liters) along with my blue mystery snail, and my three African Dwarf frogs. the frogs are fully aquatic and like to stay at the bottom, so it works perfectly
Kerry Pitt I agree! I’ve had good luck with XL Amano shrimp with my Betta’s, but they will eat smaller ones. If you buy full gown ones they are too big for them to eat. I find Amano’s are a lot bigger than cherry shrimp, so works better for me
Not completely true. As Male Betas age, they become less active and it becomes a struggle to move around. Filtration systems in larger tanks creates a more aggressive flow from aging large fin fish. A young and healthy Beta will do fine with in 10 to 20 gallon, some even tolerate mates, you will even see them "play" in the filter flow. When they get older, especially Delta's and Crowntails it's wise to downgrade them into a solitary 3 - 5 gallon real low flow tank, or even better no flow at all, just plants and weekly water changes.
Actually, since she starts the list with "GROUP #4: LIVEBEARERS", I don't think she ever gets to the list from the title. But thanks for helping us skip to the what she's supposed to have to say.
I keep my betta in a 10 gallon planted with 6 harlequin rasboras. I've had the tank up and running for over a year now. At first, the betta loved to chase the rasboras. But, he could never catch them and eventually gave up. He pretty much ignores them now. Unless he's got a bubble nest, and they get too close. He doesn't like that.
I've had similar experiences with smaller rasboras, exclamation mark rasboras in particular. In a 10g densely planted tank I've put 10 of these tiny guys and my otherwise peaceful female betta started to single out the slowest one right away. Unfortunately she broke the spine of the poor soul before they even had a chance to group up into a school. She ignores the rasboras at daylight and acts like the most peaceful betta but as soon as I turn the lights off she goes into chasing them fiercley for a couple of minutes and then she calms down again and goes to sleep in her favorite corner. Do not ever trust bettas at night. They might do nasty things to their smaller tank mates while the lights are off. At the same time my male betta in another 10g tank loves the company of 6 funny pigmy corydoras that dash up and down in the water column in a group. The male betta that previously attacked even the snails just loves these guys. Also I noticed that if I regularly feed bettas with live food they tend to be less agressive with their tank mates. At least once or twice a week. Frozen food does help too.
@@signednichole115 I chose my tank mates according to a video Cory at Aquarium Co-Op made. I would think you could probably add another platy or two. But, I'm still new to the hobby, and wouldn't want to give you bad advice. You're better off asking someone who knows more than I do.
THANK YOUUUU!! I really wanted to get some friends for my betta because it seemed so lonely these days. I'm kinda new to fish keeping lol. I'm moving so I'm trying my best to upgrade the tank, environment, and food, and you've helped me learn so much. Love youuuu❤
My Betta loves his tank mates as well. He lives with Neon Tetras, Gold Tetras and Lambchop Rasboras for schooling nano fish, he sometimes schools with them. He also lives with a Gold Doubloon Molly, which I was skeptical about at first but they get along fine and haven't shown any aggression toward each other. He also has 2 Cory Catfish. I was so happy to hear you could give the betta fish tank mates. It added some spice to the fish tank and it gave the betta some company.
My Betta seems to to be at all levels of the tank. He’s at the top, he’s in the middle and then he’s laying motionless at the bottom. I got a snail but it seems to be too shy or it passed away. My other choice now seems to be a Clown Pleco or the others small Plecos.
Finlay Cassidy I’ve heard really good things about them but I don’t know if it’s really true or their overhyped. I do have 2 Otocinclus catfish that I could transfer over from my 75 but I love them too much and worry about the betta killing them.
Mine occupied all of a twenty, too, while he was mellow enough not to get savage on his roommates. I wonder just how many amanos I lost before I started counting tetras... 🤔
I have a 5 gal tank and my Betta Larry is good friends with my African Dwarf Frogs. The first night of introduction was a little stressful mainly for me but it’s pretty fun watching them together.
@@Ze_Moose bloodbath within the algae outbreak. I couldn’t even see the carnage until endless scraping of the green wave. Nothing was the same, nothing will be the same.
All the bettas I've had have been completely fine with other fish except one. I kept this one betta with platys, corys, and snails. All these fish were with a different betta before this one that had passed from old age and done great with him so I knew that they would go great with another one. But when I got this other betta all my platys kept dying. I lost three plays before I realized that he was the problem and moved all the other fish and snails to my 20 gallon. This was the first time I had ever had a problem with a betta. And I wish that I could say that it had a better ending. But sadly I can't.😢😢
I had a betta in the past with a small school of cherry barbs (15 - 20 i think there was) It was a large tank (35 gal!), I could've used it for other fish but I was dead set on a betta lol. In my experience, cherries are less aggressive than other barbs, and there was enough of them that they picked on each other rather than on the betta. I also made sure there were plenty of hidey holes, and plant coverage, and i also had one of those floating log things :)
I just setup a 10 gallon tank and after a week of running a sponge filter and several plants, I put in one male betta and a panda Cory. They were both cool and got along fine. A week later I put in 3 neon tetras and 1 male flame orange guppy. The betta was fine with the tetras, but kept following the guppy and flaring his gills at the guppy. So I took the guppy out and put him in my 65 gallon community tank. Everything is peaceful in the 10 gallon now.
I am with you on Gouramis ... had to return my powder blue dwarf gourami male as he was viscous, and had a honey gourami who terrorised everyone. While I think they are some of the prettiest fish, they are usually terrors in a community tank. Now I steer clear of them. My centrepiece fish are a male and female pair of balloon rams, with plenty of plants in a 33g tank. They each have claimed their own territory and are fine. Sometimes they do a face off (which is quite comical really) right in the middle of the tank, but otherwise don’t annoy other tank mates, although they can be a bit pushy when food is involved.
African Dwarf Frogs are also a great tank mate for betas! I’ve put them with male betas and female betas a few different times and nothing has ever gone wrong. The only downside is that you have to feed them bloodworms.
I have a betta in a 20 gallon long with all guppies and he is so friendly with the other fish and doesn’t nip or anything. Just glides around like he is one of them, also might be his personality too
Thankfully as a beginner I have had really good luck, my little veil tail Zeus, I set up a community tank a 13gallon with some neon Tetras (10) and dwarf otto's (3) currently in the process of moving to a 20Gallon. I'm planning on adding a one or two more fish, maybe a dwarf cory or two but I set that up first then added my betta after it was established and have had not an issue yet, he's really happy so far.
Haha, for sure! So far, I've been able to adjust almost all of my bettas to community tanks but a few were definitely a little too aggressive for their own good. :P
Welp! Same thing goes for angelfish. My poor corydoras had to find that out the hard way! I have seen so many guides saying that angels and Cory’s get along together, and then when I put them together my angels decide to be punks!😞
Hey chirs I keep my "beta" in a 25 liter tank! She's very "happy" and I also have 5 Oscars in the tank are also happy ! I keep them in neon light and pink gravel and I have sooo many fake plants for them to hide in!
African dwarf frogs make unusual but surprisingly good tank mates for a beta fish . They get a little pushy around food. But they never hurt the fish. They are not that bad and they will float at the still water surface along with the beta fish. Sometimes the fish will get a little annoyed with them, but they will not get hurt. Neon tetras are also great rank mates for beta fish. They are shy and small fish. The beta will never be harmed by them.
She is so educating and entertaining at the same time to watch! 💕 Thank you so much for the video! I will definitely have knowledge on putting a tank mate on my betta! 💓
A lot of ppl will say to add the betta subsequently to your community as it hasn't established territory yet. A few will say they've better luck doing the opposite. Definitely have a backup plan ready in case things don't work out!
Cory catfish are one of my favorite fish. I remember when I was a kid, my dad kept a huge nicely set up 200 gallon fish tank with some Corys in it. Eventually we got down to only needing one for that tank though because in the 3-4 years we had it, it grew to 14 inches long. Ended up donating it to a huge pet sanctuary/store because it outgrew that huge tank and we needed to move anyway. We also kept some schooling fish and many other chill fish in there. But my dad always had the rule of only 1 betta. Unfortunately the bettas never lasted long, I think being around so many other fish stressed them out too much even if they had plenty of room to roam. Now I have my own betta though in a little semi-planted 5.5 gal with a few ghost shrimp that I introduced last night and so far he seems chill with them. As long as they don't steal his food or get too close to him while he naps, he seems fine with them!
I tried to keep my betta with endlers, nipping was an issue, same with glowlight tetras specifically. Other tetras and rasboras were fine, so were catfish. As long as you have plenty of terrain objects (hardscape and plants) to break line of sight, tank size should not be an issue, I kept a betta alone in a 14 gallon for over a year, and he rarely ever explored beyond a diameter of five inches from his favorite spot, and I kept another betta with other fish in a 4 gallon tank without aggression ever being an issue. In my experience, boredom is more often a cause for aggression than stress, so keeping the aquarium layout interesting is half the job done.
Hey there I'm writing from Taiwan but I'm an American and I saw your video on how did you planted tank and a very simple way it helped a lot. I have been in the hobby for about 2 years and I finally have 7 bettas. Two of them I've had for about a year. It took me forever to figure out what was killing all my bettas. I discovered that in the pet stores they don't keep the water very clean. And in the past when I took them to the store to purchase whatever they needed because it was obvious that they were sick the workers would just tell me all know they're fine and they wouldn't recommend any products for me. Thankfully I finally found the products that work to sort of quarantine my fish and now hopefully I'll have seven healthy fish..
I was able to successfully establish a 10 gallon tank with 3 betas, 6 neon tetras, 2 Cory cat panda fish and 3 snails after watching this video along with others. My fish live in harmony and haven’t had any issues at all.
That’s a very small tank for all those animals, your animals are suffering with not enough space to swim around and might die due to becoming overweight
I'm setting up an aquarium, it's currently cycling. This is the best fish related channel I've found so far. Cheers from Venezuela, keep up the good stuff!
I’d say it really depends on the betta, some bettas are able to live in 10 gallons completely alone, while other bettas can live in a 10 gallon and not be bothered by the other fish. It all can be determined by wether or not your betta will be able to live with others by observing them when they see their reflection. I often see veil tail bettas flaring often? I’m not sure.
It's been a cupl months now that I added the same type female betta as shown in this video into with my 29g community tank (4 yoyo loaches, 3 blk tetras, 6 ember tetras, 3 female cherry barb, 9 green rasboras and 3 rosy loaches) and thus far the community is thriving well together. Still not sure which algae eaters to add. Or I ever will.. Hope this helps anyone ✌️ 🐟
I have algae eating shrimp with my red male betta fish and they get along really well I’ve actually caught one of the shrimp standing on my fish, they were just chilling there
Snails are a definite fool proof tank mates 🐌 . If you are going to do shrimp I suggest ghost shrimp as they are cheap. Shrimp eventually become a too tempting treat! 🦐
im glad to see someone put a betta in a 20 gallon, i’ve been thinking of making a setup for a betta but i wanted to use a 20 gallon, but wasnt sure if it would be too stressful on their fins
It also depends on things like plants and decorations if you have alot going on in the tank with those It could help you have better success with the other fish
Our betta Happy has become used to his little snail roommie Rock, but for the first couple days he tried flaring at it occasionally until he just lost interest at the total lack of reaction. And live plants plus a snail really seems to balance the environment well.
Had my crowntail with 4 aswell. He killed the male in the group after he kept eating all his food. Have to put the flake food infront of him now so that he gets food.
I just wanted to say Thank you your videos have helped us so much with the setup of our tank. My son is super excited to finally go get a Betta today. He's been waiting a few weeks since we had to wait for the tank to establish itself, but your videos have been so helpful and informative. Since he really had his heart set on getting a Betta even though it's his first fish. I really had to do my homework since I have never really taken care of a fish besides little 25 cent feeder fishes when I was little and it was mainly my dad that took care of them. Also, Soundwave was my favorite decepticon, awesome name for fish.
Chiaraangel07 I had the opposite my 10 neons were being attacked by my beta but after a week they started to get along as long as my beta gets to eat first. Update few nights ago I saw my beta killed all 10 tetras
Guess I got lucky my Female Betta befriended my 5 neon Tetras. Make sure to put the Tetras first in not the Betta. If the Betta goes first in she thinks it’s all her tank and she gets territorial
I Have 2 Beta fish 1 male 1 female and everything you say is true I learn so much from your videos just wanted to Thank You for your knowledge on Bettas it really helps me be the Best owner I can be😇❤️
I keep neocaridina with my Betta. He ate a couple of them when they were young and first introduced but seems to leave the adults alone now. The shrimp have also seemed to learn that swimming is dangerous and tend to stay low and in the plants.
Out of my seven bettas I have/had (currently have 4, rip Snowball, Orion, & Crusoe), Polaris is the ONLY Crowntail I've been able to keep with other fish. Crusoe, who was a Veiltail, could also be kept with other fish. Snowball, Venus, Pluto, and Mercury, my females, have all been jerks to every other fish I've put with them. I've got Venus separately in her own 5 gallon (soon to be upgraded) to while Pluto and Mercury are in a split 20 with twin Sumo loaches that hang out together and burrow under the divider. It's hilarious that my females were/are more aggressive than my males. Orion (my first CT) just liked the space to himself, while Polaris hates being alone, which is ironic because Polaris came from a cup.
I have a betta with my aquatic frog! It worked out well. So cute watching the Betta tease the frog and the frog returning the favor by bugging the betta. But for the most part they just ignore each other.
I have a 20 gallon betta female tank with two females a lot of live plants and like 3-4 hides and they are doing completely fine. I think it also has to do with the setup of the tank for a female group:)
Thanks so much for all the great information!!We were just commenting that our little betta looks a little lonely...so glad I came across your great channel! Keep up the great work!
I’ve been keeping lamb chop (aka pork chop) rasboras and a male betta together in my 20 gallon long for almost two years without any problems at all. The fish are found together in the wild and make perfect tank mates.
I kept several betta females in a 30gl with a few other critters, like dojo loaches, mollies, glass cats, nerite snails. As long as the tank is large enough and there's enough plants and cubbies for them to hide in, everybody got along great. I love keeping sororities of bettas.
I don't know if this if helpful for anyone or not but with the experience I have with bettas I have had a betta sorority now for almost a year now and I've had multiple and from my experience iv learned that you can have a betta sorority but most of the time they just don't work out but if you take the right precautions and yours does work out it's so rewarding and you'll absolutely love it but like I said in my experience it's also one of the hardest tanks to own!😁hope it helped also you need to do a lot of research on them
I remember I had my first Betta and he was really chill. Got on well with my Amano Shrimp my snail etc. Was peacful. A while after he passed I got another Betta. He was a total monster. He chased the shrimp and was flaring non-stop at my snail. Totally different characteristics. Loved them both.
My current betta is pretty chill, I got him a small group of neocaradinia shrimp and a snail to keep him company, they have plenty of places to hide from the fish if they want to in the driftwood and leaf litter and some ceramic hides but he seems to mostly not care that they are there even when they’re right in front of him and he notices them stealing his bloodworms.
So here’s the surprise. Today I went and got a “companion” for my beta. He’s in a ten gallon and I bought 3 neon tetras and 3 similar tetras that look like neons( I forgot their name, yellowish in color) and 2 small snails. Black nerid and the yellow mystery snail. All doing well!! I was glad. Getting back with two “contenders you mentioned. The algae eater, not the Pleco the other one. And fancy guppies. I had two fancy guppies that harassed my beta so bad I had to get rid of one!! After that the other passed away seemingly “depressed” but that’s a different story!! They would take turns nipping his fins! As for the algae eater he too would chase the beta! So probably depends on the individual but for this reason, I avoided both! Just got the snails and the tetras and so far so good with 6 tetras in the tank! Either way good to know that you can keep some fish with betas!! Good video!!
Great video as always! I recently purchased a 50 gallon aquarium to transfer my fancy guppies & albino cory catfish too, but I also have another tank that only houses my Bumblebee Betta.. after reading articles & now coming across your video I just may give it a try.. I'll keep the 5 gallon betta tank running just in case it does not work out. I do have a question though. I wanted to add some ballon mollies & the dalmatian ones as well. Do you think that'll be okay? I also plan on adding live plants & coverage for shelter. Thanks.
I have a 30x30 tank full of plants and a OHM Candy Betta with others 5x Kuhli Loach 2x Otocinculos 6x Hengeli Rasbora ( I find them to be best and very hardy) and a ton of Red Cherry Shrimp (it went from 8 to atleast around 50) And my betta just tries to bug the Otos and Rasboras, but they are faster so betta cant do much. He just hunts mainly the small bugs that appear in tanks. Dont harm any shrimps, He just grazes them with his long fins.
My female betta has lived with a Panda garra loach with little problems for months. I would highly recommend it to clean the tank, and it can quickly dart if any aggression is shown!
Love the list and totally agree with it, but for some reason my female betta, who lives with tetras, wants to attack the checked tail of my rummy nose tetras. Now she lives with 20 porkchop Rasbora.
I can vouch for shrimps in with your betta-- ghosts survive over the sweet lil cherrys, even in a smaller tank. I've currently got two ghosts and a baby rubberlip pleco (Tomatoa) in with my juvenile female betta (Moana), and it's a great combo. Mo likes to lurk and watch Tomatoa work, but if Tomatoa turns around and heads her way-- Mo vanishes. It's really funny :)
OH- and I can vouch for neon tetras in with bettas too. This is my first betta tank to not have any neons, but my last was an adult male with a small squad of 7 and a few cherry shrimps. For the most part, he just followed the neons around with the occasional dart+scatter It's definitely important to have safe places in the tank that everybody can get to quickly and easily, whether its plants or structures. It helps alleviate any potential territorial stress, and is worth the effort and money.
The coolest thing I found out (I want to trial with my second Betta fish) is African Dwarf Frogs! If the tank is big enough they can share it with about 3. I'm talking an 80L to 90L community tank. I heard the same think about the fancy guppies. Too many people said the fancy guppies anger the Bettas.
I keep my betta with danio zebras , sometimes the betta chases after them but bettas do not swim so well so they cannot really catch a danio zebra. The only issue is that danios are usually cold water so I keep the tank at 25 Celsius so that everyone can be happy. The last but not the least is the feeding time you need to feed them on 2 sides of the tank otherwise the betta will become aggressive and could catch a danio maybe
Cory cats for the win. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas 🎅🎁🎄 Looking forward to new videos in the New Year. Your hair looks fabulous! 👍💕👍

Awww, he protec but he also attac
Bradley J. Fortner So that isn’t overstocked ? I got scared adding 3 platys with my betta in a 10 gallon. Do I have any room for anymore fish ?
@@signednichole115 I chose my tank mates according to a video Cory at Aquarium Co-Op made. I would think you could probably add another platy or two. But, I'm still new to the hobby, and wouldn't want to give you bad advice. You're better off asking someone who knows more than I do.
THANK YOUUUU!! I really wanted to get some friends for my betta because it seemed so lonely these days. I'm kinda new to fish keeping lol. I'm moving so I'm trying my best to upgrade the tank, environment, and food, and you've helped me learn so much. Love youuuu❤
Me: *sees crayfish*
My southern accent: oh, a crawfish
Ella Brown the country folks in South Georgia say crawdads. And used to scoop them out of creeks, or out of ditches when it rained and were plentiful.
xD yeah a little different but I’m from the north and I call them crawdads.. 😂
Same
Im from south louisiana and y'all making me hungry
crawdaddy!
Is a gold tetra a gold skirt tetra? Am I able to keep get gold skirt tetras as tank mates for my betta?
Shy, or passed away :) That gave me a good laugh!
I have a 5 gal tank and my Betta Larry is good friends with my African Dwarf Frogs. The first night of introduction was a little stressful mainly for me but it’s pretty fun watching them together.
How are they doing?
@@jennxv3 They’re dead. Now I have an algae outbreak.
my bettas feasted on frog legs when i tried lil hoppers....
@@3nuggs Did they die in a bloodbath or because of the algae?
Sorry to hear that! Thank you for sharing your story.

My old betta would stare at my frogs for hours in bewilderment at the 'moving rocks' :'D
Yep my bettas are chill with a African dwarf frogs too
*everyone talking about beta and gellons*
Me who don't own any or knows nothing about fish : *he he cute fishies*
I have a betta in a 20 gallon long with all guppies and he is so friendly with the other fish and doesn’t nip or anything. Just glides around like he is one of them, also might be his personality too
Thankfully as a beginner I have had really good luck, my little veil tail Zeus, I set up a community tank a 13gallon with some neon Tetras (10) and dwarf otto's (3) currently in the process of moving to a 20Gallon. I'm planning on adding a one or two more fish, maybe a dwarf cory or two but I set that up first then added my betta after it was established and have had not an issue yet, he's really happy so far.
how is it going after a year?
Yes that caveat that every Betta is different and will tolerate different thing is so true xD
HE. He is educating and entertaining. Let's not play along with delusions.
I love she described tht last catfish as "derpy." Sold. 😂
I have my betta with four white clouds and two corys. They are doing great! Loved seeing you aquariums, crystal clear.
"bettas are pretty aggressive"
**My 63gal sorority resting near eachother without fighting**
As long as they don't steal his food or get too close to him while he naps, he seems fine with them!
i didn’t know corys could get that big!
Love those tips! Thanks for sharing your experiences. :)
4:54 he looks so chill with them just like there having a conversation

*my question to the gods has been answered*
I’d say it really depends on the betta, some bettas are able to live in 10 gallons completely alone, while other bettas can live in a 10 gallon and not be bothered by the other fish. It all can be determined by wether or not your betta will be able to live with others by observing them when they see their reflection. I often see veil tail bettas flaring often? I’m not sure.
This really helped, my veil tail flairs at his food thats already dead so...I dont think he'd be great with tank mates 😅 Thank you for the tip!
Otto's, amanos, cherry shrimp and nerite snails.Thats what I got for algae.
I have algae eating shrimp with my red male betta fish and they get along really well I’ve actually caught one of the shrimp standing on my fish, they were just chilling there
That weirdo Elijah funny!
i have 3 female bettas in a tank and they are doing great! no aggression has been going on and i had them for at least 2 months.
After years of losing my elder betta , I have finally got a midnight betta named Odin. Bettas are gorgeous fish
I've had Pygmy Cory's in my 5.5 gallon with my female betta and they get along just fine.
I actually keep my blue half moon betta with 4 white clouds and they do very well!
Haha that’s funny you mentioned zebra danios. I kept them with my betta and he did great. They all got fully fed and got along fine.

My 6 Neon Tetras always harassed my poor Betta, had to separate them.
Chiaraangel07 I had the opposite my 10 neons were being attacked by my beta but after a week they started to get along as long as my beta gets to eat first. Update few nights ago I saw my beta killed all 10 tetras
Yes , tetras torture the betta
@@shinpagba84 Hahahahahahaha
Oh no. That’s a bummer. We were thinking about putting a female betta with our neon tetras.
Guess I got lucky my Female Betta befriended my 5 neon Tetras. Make sure to put the Tetras first in not the Betta. If the Betta goes first in she thinks it’s all her tank and she gets territorial

I had a sorority and they got along wonderfully
I had a male betta with some neon tetras and yin yang guppies, they got along pretty well
My bettas are very mellow, they are in a split 10 gallon with mystery snails and shrimp. They're pretty peaceful fish.
Irene I watch your videos all the time and saw this forever ago, but it often shows up and every time I see that still image of Soundwave I smile.
I have my betta with 2 Cory cats, some white cloud minnows, and I plan on getting some snails and shrimp
I Have 2 Beta fish 1 male 1 female and everything you say is true I learn so much from your videos just wanted to Thank You for your knowledge on Bettas it really helps me be the Best owner I can be😇❤️

@@ashlynnthompson1282 always keep more than 5 corys
Your presentation is wonderful. Your videos are informative & info are very well organized. Carry it on, loving it
Thank you so much! That means so much to me. 🤗
My new betta that I just got I also got regular neon tetra’s. They have been supper chill they don’t interact much and they have been supper good
I have a 20 gallon betta female tank with two females a lot of live plants and like 3-4 hides and they are doing completely fine. I think it also has to do with the setup of the tank for a female group:)
I keep my betta with snails and shrimp they hav all gotten on long ab a year now and I was looking into adding Cory cats soon
Side note she and her tank mates are in a 40 gallon tall tank with plenty of plants
I don't know if this if helpful for anyone or not but with the experience I have with bettas I have had a betta sorority now for almost a year now and I've had multiple and from my experience iv learned that you can have a betta sorority but most of the time they just don't work out but if you take the right precautions and yours does work out it's so rewarding and you'll absolutely love it but like I said in my experience it's also one of the hardest tanks to own!😁hope it helped also you need to do a lot of research on them
I have had my Cory Cat and Betta in the same tank for almost 3 years.
Yeah, my Betta attacks everything, even Corys. *Shrugs*
Yup, mine does too. Hahaha the nature of bettas
Which type y’all have?
*I had a betta and I LOVED Watching him! I Really Miss My 30 gallon Aquarium!!!*
Girl! Your hair is looking good. And I was thinking just last night how I was hoping you would put out a new video. I missed seeing your stuff!
Thank you! Sometimes I regret chopping off so much, but it'll come back soon. :)
Got lucky my male beta lives with 3 chili rasboras, 4 cherry shrimp and 2 magic snails happily in a lush planted tank.
tank size?
Thanks.
It's always nice to see what color earrings you wear in each videos. Also your info is always easy to understand. Thanks

ADFs (African dwarf frogs) seem to do okay. I had my betta with them
I have a 30x30 tank full of plants and a OHM Candy Betta with others
5x Kuhli Loach
2x Otocinculos
6x Hengeli Rasbora ( I find them to be best and very hardy)
and a ton of Red Cherry Shrimp (it went from 8 to atleast around 50)
And my betta just tries to bug the Otos and Rasboras, but they are faster so betta cant do much.
He just hunts mainly the small bugs that appear in tanks. Dont harm any shrimps, He just grazes them with his long fins.
From what I’ve experienced, my Betta is much more active, and seems more happy in warmer temperatures, rather than cooler. Great video though!
Yep! Bettas comfort temperature is between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius. :)
Just got my own betta fish yesterday, it’s a double tail mail, and it’s color palette reminds me of cotton candy 💖
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
Thank you! It was so fun getting to read everyone's suggestions. I should do another one of these "audience participation" videos again. :)
For the most part, he just followed the neons around with the occasional dart+scatter
It's definitely important to have safe places in the tank that everybody can get to quickly and easily, whether its plants or structures. It helps alleviate any potential territorial stress, and is worth the effort and money.
"Best kept with peaceful fish".... wait... peaceful fish exist? I thought they r all savages 😭
I've actually had really good luck keeping guppes with my betta
I keep my betta with danio zebras , sometimes the betta chases after them but bettas do not swim so well so they cannot really catch a danio zebra. The only issue is that danios are usually cold water so I keep the tank at 25 Celsius so that everyone can be happy. The last but not the least is the feeding time you need to feed them on 2 sides of the tank otherwise the betta will become aggressive and could catch a danio maybe
Cory cats for the win. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas 🎅🎁🎄
Looking forward to new videos in the New Year. Your hair looks fabulous!

Yay, thank you so much! Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your loved ones as well! 🤗
