Which agent should I play? Great question! Here are probably my Top 3 Picks for someone solo queuing! Pay attention to my reasoning, as these may NOT be the best choices for you. Remember, ANY agent can be played in SoloQ, but I do feel strongly about my choices here in this video! Let me know what you think, and who do you play in SoloQ?
Just got back into gold 1 all solo que and I gotta agree with the picks. Personally I play omen and Phoenix if I feel like my aim is crisps. Omen is a great team player so don't expect to be hard carrying often as his best use is support. Even if you bottom frag, you are still getting people into site or help people get kills. Omen flash is so good in setting your teammates up for kills which may not give you frags but he win games. Phoenix is when you dont trust your teammates and dont mind pushing in. But I recommend you only play him when you feel crisp aim.
what are u on i almost got to plat (high g3) with omen only carrying my games. omen has the most impact on games, especially a good omen that knows how to smoke. you easily force your opponents off hard angles, have a godly flash and a great ability to cross dangerous areas that can be used offensively with the flash. then you have the tp that can double as a recon. shits just magnificent lmao
I do feel like skye is pretty solid for solo que as you can learn to flash for your self very well, and she has lots of ability’s that can help her out, as well as make your team happy with heals
I love these three agents! I currently one-trick Phoenix because no matter what I do I am learning something. Since I am entry I have to learn crosshair placement and flicks, since I have so many different ways of using my utility I have to learn lineups and good positions vs bad positions to be in, also, since my ult lets me have a second life, I have to learn how to make the most use out of it. I think you learn the most by playing an entry frag agent like Phoenix or Reyna but I definitely agree with the others on the list. My secondary pick is always Omen - he feels so strong at the moment. If I was recommending agents to one trick - coming from League my perspective is - you should one trick the highest skill cap agents. Those, in my opinion, are Sova and Jett. They just do things that other agents currently can't do and they have amazing kits that have a LOT of potential.
@Kulat I have seeen some crazy molly line ups on ascent, saw someone pretty much clear out a side of a mid with a molly allowing teamtes to get easy picks
@Kulat There's some complicated hot hands lineups on split and ascent. It's a weird ability because it automatically drops after traveling 25 meters so you can do interesting things with it like throw it at a pretty sharp angle and land it on the other side of a wall.
Raze is very good for her satchel plays. They take much more effort to master than most other agents, but they can get you frag after frag without fail. That being said, her other utility is perfect for soloq, and each can give her more than one kill if used correctly. You could win an entire round with her utility alone.
I honestly think omen is the best solo queue agent. He plays mind games with the enemies and you can do anything with omen. If you are smart, you will carry every omen game
I think KJ deserves to be on this list too. As a SoloQ player, nobody cares about holding the angles I can't, even though they said they would. That's where a Turret (as an information gathering ability) and an Alarmbot to guard flanks comes in handy. Just got a 1v5 Ace today with KJ, definitely a Top 5, if not Top 3 agent
Kj is not top 5 after the nerfs. You can't rotate to help your team at other bombsites on defense and you aren't helping your team take bombsite because your in the back so you don't die.

tbh, i dont think omen is overpowered in any way like most people see it. i just think that the reason why omen is so good right now, is because of his flexibility as an agent. he is able to be an anchor, entry, duelist you name it! omen is also fairly simple compared to other agents in the game. so i think that omen is actually in a good spot right now and there isnt much change needed to him

I mean Phoenix is just as much feast or famine as Reyna, his kit has zero utility outside of getting kills. I would argue Reyna’s leer actually provides more utility to your team than anything Phoenix has in his kit
listen, the thing is: phoenix can do anything, but isn't great at anything. omen and sova needs teammates to be good to win the game, especially sova who doesn't have any blinds or abilities that can get him out of bad positions 😭

Killjoy's changes isn't a nerf IMO. Now you you can recall your bots and place them closer to you pretty quickly and makes killjoy a more mobile agent. Her mollys are also useful now. The only reason I would pick cypher over killjoy in soloq is if I want the smokes. Cypher's smokes are really useful.
Personally love playing Brim and sometimes Yoru myself, Brim’s utility is so easy and can be super effective at stopping pushes by himself and Yoru’s quick rotate ability is so good.
Its just weird how initiators are low on pick rate breach 3.6 and skye 0.7 wtf they are broken play them more guys they are both my mains also omen but my main is breach

Barter Sauce not even, high gold and low plat players only play Jett with a rifle and don’t abuse less skilled weapons like the judge and asp, they only lock in Jett cuz they tenz fanboys.

Where's jett? She has some of the best playmaking abilties. You will say a ton of high level solo queuers playing jett.
