I disagree with the "why not a guardian?" argument you don't actually use guardian most games, that's true, but you do use single fire weapons such as pistols in pistol rounds. Also in aim trainers sometimes there is this mode called something like 5 bullets 5 kills or something like that, I feel it's somewhat similar to use the guardian. Lately I've been doing DM using first the guardian which makes you do more micro adjustments on the go to be competitive against other rifles. In the end of the day you HAVE to land the headshot, and that's what you want, even with the other automatic rifles... only after a couple DMs with the guardian I go for vandal or phantom focusing on taps and bursts, I feel I've improved greatly. I'm not a high rank player as I'm only diamond on a 60hz, but for those who are mid-level like us it might be a good way of expanding on the very basic "dm with no crouch vandal burst only" as sometimes you can aquire a bad habit of starting a burst before you fully stop on your counterstrafes, which again, using the guardian that forces me to do that or die, has helped. It's hard and the first couple DMs I got pretty bad scores, but that's exactly what you want to do right? Beat the worst player version of yesterday yourself.

Btw don't tell yourself that your hertz are holding you back. One guy from my team is playing on 60 hertz and fps he is immortal 3 almost radiant. Btw follow my yt if you want :))
I dont know why but i cant seem to hold my plat rank since i started aim training in aimlabs. I have been using aimlab everyday 1 hour for 1 month and my aim is still very shaky and unstable. I was plat 3 in act 1 and i get worse with every game im playing. I cant even get a positive kda in gold 3 anymore, what am i doing wrong. I use immortal valorant practice routine in aimlab and repeat every task 5 times
you probably need to more thoughtfully think about what the issues on your aim style and habits are. It won't come from a month of training but slowly identifying 'micro' habits and correcting them ingame sometimes more than in aim trainers. Try to research about that one paper that a guy wrote on aimtraing and kovaaks I guess his name is "aimer7" and maybe ron rambo kim's channel...
I already watched and read those and i try to focus more on accuracy rather than speed and my some of my scores are on the leaderboard too but i cant seem to hit anything in my games. Even when i am behind someone i whiff very often and sometimes get flamed for that too
In the strafetrack precision for example, i get a score of 110000 consistently but my aim isnt smooth and very shaky. Also when i flick to targets, my aim doesnt go in a line but instead shaky like a curvy line to the target when its in a spot i dont expect
10:24 I dont do this but since Im a jett main and Ive been playing valorant and csgo for 10 hours I was pretty tired. When I thought that I can get much frags anymore I took Cypher (my old main). I was really helpful to my team and my rank.
Most of these don't happen to me, but the moment I whiff pretty rarely unless it's really long range, but the moment I miss my 3rd shot, I just start panicking and crouch spraying/dying (I don't know how to control valorant recoil).
I often struggle with mid range gun fights. At long ranges i am comfortable tapping and bursting, and spraying at short range, but at mid range I often commit to the spray and die or I try to let my recoil reset and die to the adversarial spray.
How do I fix inconsistency? One day I one tap everyone I see but the other day I can't even spray to an enemy properly. This has been an issue for me since I started playing Valorant
I win every pistol round and I'm usualy getting quadra or triple kill but i have problems with phantom and vandal. We shoot at same time but they hit me 3 times and i hit them only 1... i don't understand
The issue I seem to have with my aim isn't any of these, the issue I have is the crippling disparity between my performance in deathmatch vs my performance in ranked, I go from the second coming of screaM in DM to a bot in ranked, this never used to be the issue but has suddenly arisen and it's screwing me over because I'm a duelist player
I feel that one. Mindset is a lot of it man. In a dm your mind isn't racing like it is in ranked. Just try to relax when you load into your next game man
For me, when i’m in death match, my mindset is to hit one taps and improve my aim. But, when i’m in a real comp game, the only thing on mind is getting kills which leads to spraying.
on that first tip for some reason i am getting all those headshots in pistol rounds and on sheriff rounds even when not getting of the first shot, but when i use vandal or phantom, my aim just dissapears D:
sometimes i am inconsistent in 1 tapping..idk, maybe i was thinking too much.... about the minimap and the teammates placement...maybe i should focus more on myself instead..?
Very well made video. I usually avoid mid on maps but still win gunfights when I eventually go to them. I personally don’t like taking ego 1v1s Bc I end up overthinking what happens to my team if I lose. But on the occasional day when I feel Ballsy I take the 1v1s I win most of them.
7 of these 8 just 100% apply to me and I've already noticed most of these myself and reflected on it and have been gettinngg alot better by working on it specifically but very very great Video props to you keep up the good work! Really great recap/rewrap for me in my Head that i was/am on the right path since a Radiannt player like you says the same
I am a serial ads-er. The last god I played was Halo where I'd you didn't ads, you were dead. I made my ads to hold instead of toggle which didn't help much, then I shifted it to mouse wheel down. And honestly, it works. Unbinding/ rebinding crouch will work wonders.
I dont play duelists in ranked because some moron has already locked reyna jett and phoenix and i am forced to pick for smokes or they scream lock sage and usually i do cause i actually want to win.
I think I'm good enough in long range duels, but close range? I try to tap and burst while they just crouch and spray... more times than I can count I've either missed headshot (because they crouched) and/or just hit 3 bullets then died ("burst" I do are all either 3 bullets or a spray)
Got my first win in a deathmatch since starting the game a few months ago, so I hope that is a sign my aim is slightly improving. I try to keep my crosshair at head level and pre-aim corners but people still walk around and 1 tap me like they know i am there, no idea how.
You said you lost all confidence when you hit immortal, that’s me. I’m floating between imm1 and dia3 and I feel like I’m always playing bad and always bringing my team down.
For further insight on my confidence I recently deranged to D2, I played TSM Myth and went 5/19/4 in a Diamond lobby. Mg confidence has rebounded some but I still need to gain that needed cockiness, or big dick swinging immortal mindset.
I feel like I’ll go into ranked and I’ll be on derank game, then I’ll get tense and tilt, but when I relax (idk when it happens, just random) I’ll drop a 2-3 kd and winning my fights. Also am sentinel main
I done the dm prac already but I feel like I still spray alot the only thing that improve is my crosshair placement and my hs kill is almost all crosshair placement and not flicks
I am very well adept with the vandal I do the burst shots and tap taps but I cant win the pistol rounds. I rely on the frenzy in order to win. Any advice on how should I train for that I practice aimlab daily?
Im silver1, and i dont go for trades but I play more aggressive than I should. I main astra so I need to learn to sit back more I think. I struggle mainly with crosshair placement and crouching habits
i use the bulldog instead of the vandal and phantom because i know my bronze teammates are gonna push something stupid all die, and then i am in a 1v5, that im not gonna win, and then since i bought the bulldog my eco wasn't completely ruined
I used to be a bronze Jett main and realized that my aim was holding me back, then I began a journey of aimlab. Went from Gold 1 in aimlab-Master 4 in Aimlab. Now I’m a gold 3 and about to hit plat, next act I really hope ai can hit immortal. If I’m streaming and have an insane pop off game could I send it to u to review?
Idk I was playing ranked pulling 40 bombs in silver mind you I haven’t played ranked in months and after those couple days of ranked I don’t know what happened I just started playing worse I stopped hitting my first head taps my recoil control was so so so Garbo and I just I don’t know if it’s a slump or if I’m just playing against better players and because of that I am resorting to spray more and stuff like that I don’t know
I was iron just a few months ago and decided to go into practice tool and deathmatch for 10 min or so before each game instead of instantly queueing and just got Plat, my games are relatively inconsistent but I don't ever spray croutch, if I'm having a bad aim game I focus on utility use, flank pressure and timing my peaks to win fights, I also go to judge and Odin with gun use and usually end up buying guns for top fraggers and taking a shorty, this almost always works but it's frustrating and a boring playstyle to be honest, I just don't know if I have the time and energy to grind deathmatch just to gain some semblance of constituency.
Also another thing to add that's odd, I almost always win my pistol rounds , but I never get sheriff and I get 2 or 3 kills every time. If I don't pop off I basically just become bait, it's funny because I chose bait as my tag under my gamer tag, unfortunately its quite fitting some games, it's just another note to my inconsistency. I love your vod reviews and I wish you could view one but I don't know how to do any vod stuff unfortunatly, I don't even own a comp other than a shit laptop, I use my friends comp while he's at school since we are close but I don't have much time available with it to really grind that stuff. Like I said about 2 games of deathmatch into 2 games of comp and that's basically it.
i think i have the opposite site problem, i tend to get lots of 3ks and such on pistol round and i think the guardian and marshal are cracked, i just don’t always know what to do or how to find kills
You definitely got me at crouch spraying, pretty much every time I have a full auto gun if I'm not hitting the first shot I immediately go into a crouch and spray at the body. Should probably work on my first four shots and start burst firing more
I mostly win pistol round and 2nd round but I struggle with full buy rounds. I still am having a hard time getting out of Iron 100+ games in (I am new to FPS games). My aim just goes downhill when the enemy also has rifles. that's why sometimes I just buy a ghost or sheriff and use shotguns in close range. i really have trouble dueling people who use the phantom while walking or the spectre while crouch walking. sorry for the rant
hey so i avg 3k or 4k pistol rounds very often but dont help out my team a lot with kills over the period of the whole game... i finish at 15/10 or 15/15 games. so is my aim good or bad
Now, i may be a crouched, but i find it allows me to get headshot and body shot with phantom almost all the time. Do you think it’s ok to be a serial croucher with the phantom?
I doubt you will see this but i was a high level siege player and just this week switched over to valorant. I just hit gold 1 which is apparently good for one week but i feel like my movement is bad and my understanding of gunfights is lacking. How can i improve my movement and understanding of guns quickly to hit plat?
i want to have nearly perfect aim and how should i practise guys ? im currently plat 3 and my aim is good enough for plat. But since i became plat3 there is always atleast 2 diamond player in both team and compared to them im not good enough . Like i scared to take aim duels because i know my enemy is better than me but i dont want this. I mean i dont want to lose in aim duels or smth like that how should i practise
My mentality is holding me back the most I think. Ive spend hours in aimtrainer, click heads ez in DM/bot training but put me in a ranked match and my aim becomes anxious, I start overthinking shots etc and just whiff everything like I know I could hit normally
as a sova main i can confirm you dont need monster aim for shock darts. once they hit a surface they have a bigger damage hitbox and you can be a little bit off and still get them bc of that hitbox
It’s funny how I know i can out aim any one below maybe d2 or d3 as p2 and yet I find myself terrified of getting into an aim duel. I am always like I need to play safe and not die for free and the lose, so the next round i wide swing mid and get a free kill.
I almost always get kills off of lucky sprays. I noticed that it can take me from 7-15 bullets to kill a player. Should I just try and practice for taps? Should I just go with something like a sherif and practice with that in deathmatch or pubs?
Can low FPS impact that too? Like playing on a surface pro 6 maxed at just 100 FPS it feels like people turn on me much faster than me, which sometimes sucks cause I can't react fast enough. I do spray a lot to compensate for that sometimes so this is why I'm a phantom user. Send help lmaoo
Recently i've started to spray way less and tap fire (spraying close range and tapping at mid - long) i've been knowdising it's not really my aim that's holding me back anymore in my rank but it's my way of playing. I've been watching a few of your videos on common problems in all ranks and some videos about gold from other youtubers. Nothing seems to help me climbing out from gold 3 - plat 1 and am currently thinking if it's my game knowledge/sence or it's just small plays that i do that make me "stuck" in gold
I play viper as main. I spend 1 hour in practice range shooting everyday. But somehow my kills mostly are close up range. Which u know we just spray. Tried to learn crosshair placements but fail if the enemy isn't in the place where I think he was. How can I improve?.BTW I am confident in pistol but losing all the time. My advantage is listening. And knowing which directions people will push.
Grind deathmatch over and over I’m talking 10+ rounds before you even go ranked and then also just turn up your sound your ears might bleed but you’ll be able to hear those footsteps!
I got a good game sense, decent aim, but I've been playing for a month and I got a short fuse. I get mad when team mates are bad aim, not using abilities, etc.,
Aim trainers only helps your general aim. Personally for me, I would much rather use Valorant's in game range and deathmatch to warm up and practice my aim. Aim trainers don't compensate the feel and recoil.
Saw the video to think about myself, and it just got more clear that my problem is my game sense The most part of my aces where on pistol rounds, I usually do not shoot first and I just can't spray
Idk but these vids are actually good and helpful i mean there are so many videos with tips on the internet but i didnt see any with actually helping tips!
That's my goal! These tips all come from my experience with helping actual players like you which is why I think its easier for some people to connect. Not everyone loves this style of content, but these education videos are my favorite!
Probably means ur not taking enough time to line up the first shot, and just relying on spray. On the sheriff you’re more forced to line up the first shot since the fire rate is so slow
tbh personally i hate the idea of a forced trade, which means pushing for one reason is to die so your team could trade you for kill meanwhile you can take the kill without even sacrifing any player of your team
I disagree with the mid option because in my opinion Mid areas need more teamwork to control and if they have Ops or Sage walls and my team just stand there sleeping or never use their utility to fight the Ops I just never go mid again.
May i ask an opinion for custom crosshairs ? Whether a normal plus sign is good or a simple dot would do too. I’m a Guardian main, and mostly i use it to headshot & got alot of them cos of it. But i’m slowly learning to rely on a Vandal in terms of “bursting” in close range fights, does your crosshair makes a difference too ? Not crosshair placement btw 😅
That may be a problem with recoil control, and your burst fire accuracy! Pistol round accuracy normally is based off initial flicks through taps, while rifles tend to burst/spray.
For me, I think it's a mental blockade. I tend to lose more games when I'm actually up in a half than down by the half. It's an extreme choking problem in diamond.

Uninstall aimlabs run deathmatch over and over and then play ranked a bunch
@@zookoh1595 how much
My problem is always the third person killing me
I have to improve my positioning
10:24 I dont do this but since Im a jett main and Ive been playing valorant and csgo for 10 hours I was pretty tired. When I thought that I can get much frags anymore I took Cypher (my old main). I was really helpful to my team and my rank.
"Avoiding mid on maps "
Me: alright Haven lets go B for all 12 rounds on attack to improve our aim
Been their ,done that, not going back😂
Most of these don't happen to me, but the moment I whiff pretty rarely unless it's really long range, but the moment I miss my 3rd shot, I just start panicking and crouch spraying/dying (I don't know how to control valorant recoil).
But, when i’m in a real comp game, the only thing on mind is getting kills which leads to spraying.
on that first tip for some reason i am getting all those headshots in pistol rounds and on sheriff rounds even when not getting of the first shot, but when i use vandal or phantom, my aim just dissapears D:
sometimes i am inconsistent in 1 tapping..idk, maybe i was thinking too much.... about the minimap and the teammates placement...maybe i should focus more on myself instead..?
okay but how am I supposed to hit the shots in unrted if they all crouch in deathmatch so i to aim lower?
#4 “Relies on flashes to secure kills”. *lowers head and sighs*
Got my first win in a deathmatch since starting the game a few months ago, so I hope that is a sign my aim is slightly improving. I try to keep my crosshair at head level and pre-aim corners but people still walk around and 1 tap me like they know i am there, no idea how.
Maybe you are making too much sound or your gun shows around the corner, but it could also just be people clearing corners and pre aiming everything
I do the Guardian training on deathmatch. It improved A LOT my crosshair placement and headshot accuracy. And single shot HS is VERY satisfying!
Please help I had so good aim and out of no time I lost it and now I lose every gun fight
Dude, you're already better than 90% of players,no need to have poor confidence.
I feel like I’ll go into ranked and I’ll be on derank game, then I’ll get tense and tilt, but when I relax (idk when it happens, just random) I’ll drop a 2-3 kd and winning my fights. Also am sentinel main
Your channel is amazing and very helpful
My aim just goes downhill when the enemy also has rifles. that's why sometimes I just buy a ghost or sheriff and use shotguns in close range. i really have trouble dueling people who use the phantom while walking or the spectre while crouch walking. sorry for the rant
hey so i avg 3k or 4k pistol rounds very often but dont help out my team a lot with kills over the period of the whole game... i finish at 15/10 or 15/15 games. so is my aim good or bad
with a ghost only btw ^^^
"Relying on abilities" what about chuck dart? It requires aim and good lineups
as a sova main i can confirm you dont need monster aim for shock darts. once they hit a surface they have a bigger damage hitbox and you can be a little bit off and still get them bc of that hitbox
But I can't find my personal sense any help?
Recently i've started to spray way less and tap fire (spraying close range and tapping at mid - long) i've been knowdising it's not really my aim that's holding me back anymore in my rank but it's my way of playing.
I've been watching a few of your videos on common problems in all ranks and some videos about gold from other youtubers. Nothing seems to help me climbing out from gold 3 - plat 1 and am currently thinking if it's my game knowledge/sence or it's just small plays that i do that make me "stuck" in gold
I’ve been playing so much aim labs that the joints in my fingers hurt I’m gonna take a break
Im in bronze but when i play with irons in comp even if they have 5000 credits they often buy a ares or spectre over phantom or vandal
I got a good game sense, decent aim, but I've been playing for a month and I got a short fuse. I get mad when team mates are bad aim, not using abilities, etc.,
Great video and congrats on 30k dragon!
the only thing I need is inspiration and determination to rank up...next is my crosshair placement and lastly is I'm so conscious of the corners.
Geeeezz that clip at the end is insane. I’m top 1-2% in Kovaaks but I can’t aim to save my life in Valorant. Idk what’s up :/
Was definitely a very a nice play, all comes with practice! I'm 20 years deep into FPS, you've got time to get there!
The game's broken and purely rng based so😶
Aim trainers only helps your general aim. Personally for me, I would much rather use Valorant's in game range and deathmatch to warm up and practice my aim. Aim trainers don't compensate the feel and recoil.
@@divyanshpanwari348 how??
@@DukeWang ever get headshot by a run and gunner with a vandal? yeah..
Hey dragonmar I went into your stream from this game I followed and I told you that you helped me rank up!!
Saw the video to think about myself, and it just got more clear that my problem is my game sense
The most part of my aces where on pistol rounds, I usually do not shoot first and I just can't spray
My main problem is spraying I can 1 tap people 4/5 times and my game sense is decent how do I improve a spray xD I’m s2 btw
hey Dragonmar can show you a game play for me and review it i really dont know waht should i do i'am really hard stuck on g1
I feel each and everyone of this. I lost confidence in my aim after dropping to silver 1 from gold 1
giving praise when its due, good video man,. some different information on how to improve that's not generic advice like many others out there
Idk but these vids are actually good and helpful i mean there are so many videos with tips on the internet but i didnt see any with actually helping tips!
That's my goal! These tips all come from my experience with helping actual players like you which is why I think its easier for some people to connect. Not everyone loves this style of content, but these education videos are my favorite!
im very tilted because i played split for 5 consecutive round then for the 6th round i dodge because its split then in 7th match its also split wtf
What if you feel like you get more kills with the sheriff vs an actual rifle?
Probably means ur not taking enough time to line up the first shot, and just relying on spray. On the sheriff you’re more forced to line up the first shot since the fire rate is so slow
I have good aim and im still stuck in broneze i have 30 kills every round but there are to many bad mates and to many smurfs
I have aim inconsistency and I often get worst at some point in the game
counter strike has nades flashes smokes and Molotov its not just aim but your are still kinda right because yes it does come down to aim duels
tbh personally i hate the idea of a forced trade, which means pushing for one reason is to die so your team could trade you for kill meanwhile you can take the kill without even sacrifing any player of your team
I disagree with the mid option because in my opinion Mid areas need more teamwork to control and if they have Ops or Sage walls and my team just stand there sleeping or never use their utility to fight the Ops I just never go mid again.
U r so good to watch, love ur work.
Man ngl u read my mind.. thank you so much for the video!🔥
I am not great at rifle aim duels, but frequently pop off on pistol rounds... weird
That may be a problem with recoil control, and your burst fire accuracy! Pistol round accuracy normally is based off initial flicks through taps, while rifles tend to burst/spray.
Damn bro u deserve a lot more subs than 30k. Underrated youtuber🙏
So is it better to train my aim in The Range or death match
Deathmatch!
I been aim training on and off for the past two years and i see no improvement. i need a vod review
Aim training is a routine though, you gotta keep doing it or you'll lose your progress, just like exercise
when u shift it shows team guns and utility.
I usually use omen and sentinels since i only get duelist instalocks.
For me, I think it's a mental blockade. I tend to lose more games when I'm actually up in a half than down by the half. It's an extreme choking problem in diamond.
Hey Dragonmar! why is it when i go to CS i out aim quite Frequentant compared to valorant?
also not saying im a god at aiming but im not a crub either.... if that makes sense
oh also why is it when ill pop off one half but not have a big inpackment the next?
For me, I get destroyed in deathmatch, but in competitive no one can hit their shots for some reason and they all spray and pray (Plat 1)
Im takin these aim duels everyday but sometimes I can feel uncomfortable with my aim
