    If you want to learn how to wire Rj45 Cat6 or RJ45 Cat5e Connectors to an Ethernet cable then this is the video for you. Thank you for watching!

    WOW!, RJ45 pass through connectors, no more worrying about too much or not enough jacket. I like it!

      That's why they call them EZ connectors!! Lol
      I've been using them for the last 6 or 7 years! Thank you for watching!

    Great video. I just followed it and wired up an ethernet jack no problem. The only tool that wasn't something I had was the wire stripper for Cat6, but I bought a little Milwaukee one that's spring loaded. I found I had to unscrew the blade setting to loosen it because it was cutting into the interior cables. That was probably the hardest part of the whole thing.

    The listed connectors state that they are for 24awg cable. The Cat6 cable listed states it is 23awg. The 23awg wire is larger than the 24awg rated connectors. Problem???

    The link for the Cat6 cable goes to a 23 guage wire and the link for the connectors is for a 24 guage wire. Shouldn't you be using the slightly thicker 23 guage connectors?

    so, do you do the same exact thing to the other end? won't that make the wires opposite? I''m new to this!

    • @UltimateTechHub
      @UltimateTechHub  Год назад

      Do the exact same for other end! Works perfect and it's not the opposite it's the exact same as the other end. Thank you for watching and if you subscribed thank you as well.

    He says to take a picture of it to make sure it wired correctly-- good ideal -- just do it before you use the crimper tool otherwise if its wrong you have to cut the connecter off and redo it. also make sure the crimper tool cuts the ends of the wires off at the same time like this one he shows. cheaper one may not and its a hassle to cut those wires flush after the fact

    Ditch the boots :( they become hard over time and impossible to squeeze to release the connector from the port :(

      @@UltimateTechHub I replace cables with the boots on them or cut the bump off. They turn hard over time and make it very hard to squeeze and pull out of plug.

    what happens if the blue sheath is not pushed all the way inside the rj45 connector? i’ve recently had some electricians run some cables and none of them are pushed inside like that

    • @UltimateTechHub
      @UltimateTechHub  2 года назад +2

      You want the wires to stay wrapped tight all the way to the end to prevent cross talk and any electrical interference.

    Question: which side is face up on the connector when you are inserting the wires?

    • @Outsdr.
      @Outsdr. 19 дней назад

      The diagram provided for the order of the wiring is if you're looking at the connector from the bottom (Where the pins are).
      If you're looking at it from the top (Where the clip is), then the first wire on the left will be brown.

    1. Don't use pass through RJ45s (they often cause shorts)
    2. Split the sheath a bit at the end of the cable.
    3. Pull the string to strip the sheath to length (carefully, can cut your fingers)
    NOTE: Using wire strippers may damage the jacket in your pairs
    4. Cut off the split sheath and inner separator
    5. Pinch each pair and untwist with a half twist of your wrists
    6. Insert flathead precision screwdriver between and pull apart (will straighten your wires concurrently)
    7. Using a flat surface, put your wires in order whilst holding down with your thumb
    8. Trim, insert and crimp
    9. Repeat steps 2 through 8 until you've done all 999 more of these bad boys‽

    Does wiring color matter when making a single cable, as long as both ends are the same color?

    • @UltimateTechHub
      @UltimateTechHub  Год назад

      It needs to be exactly like I show in the video. There is a different configuration which the T568a but the t568b is the most popular. Thank you for watching and make sure to check out my Ultimate Home Networking for Beginners Playlist.
