To double on this if you look closely most of the defeats could have been avoided if the team was matured enough and knew how to manage games. Most of them are having their real first experience at an elite level.
Poch next season I believe can pick up where this season ends and correct the wrongs.

No talk about how a top level winning team got dismantled after the forceful sanctions and eventual sale, that alone must have been devastating for the club as a whole and everyone working there not to talk about the matter of having to buy a new team which also includes buying players for the academy and women’s team.
Chelsea have been through a lot in 2 years off and on the pitch. Not many clubs can survive what they’ve been through. Hats off to everyone involved in keeping the dream of getting Chelsea back to the top of English and European football.

Pochettino has done an absolutely incredible job with this team. An injury crisis like no other, a squad full of inexperienced kids some of whom are obviously out of their depth. The fact that Poch has had this team playing at a top 4 level for the last 5 months now shows he has them going in the right direction. To sack him now would be as equally insane as sacking Tuchel in the first place.

Consider how he received this team with no recruitment strategy, no concrete starters and a mess of tactics, he’s got this team humming at the moment . If it weren’t for Palmer and Gallaghers leadership they would be at the bottom and then maybe it should be considered but he’s got a team that is believing his system. Chelsea always have players in thier academy
It is the best system in the world it does not mean that all thier academy players always play for them, that is Rare.
They have never waited for 3 years to let An academy player develop. When they need talent now And have a gap in the squad
And the right back is different, James was already a leading star, he is not a matsen level talent, he is far batter, that's why he broke into the first team
And he has 2 champions league already, and when fit starts for England. Please he is generational
You are also forgetting you sold livramento and lamptey as well
Because you had james and azpi, you did not need a new right back, and like matsen, those youngsters left
Also you just bought gusto for about 30 million
So you did go big on a right back, which too is understandable, (lamptey has fallen off and livramento career is kicking off)
But they could not wait at chelsea any longer, chelsea had two senior team members, and those academy players needed first team football, so they left. (They could not go on loan as fifa changed the loan rules, putting a limit on loans)
And recently they got gusto, if those players stayed at Chelsea, they won't be as good as they are right now due to a lack of playing time, everyone got what was best for them
      Cash for Chelsea

It appears the academy model is intended only to sell graduates to other clubs as far as the financial modelling at CFC goes. Despite players showing promise. Is constantly cause of frustration with fans following the Cobham product line. Owners and short term coach appointments for the first team (1-2yrs) means no one cares really for what's good in footballing terms for the first team in terms of Cobham players being retained generally speaking. There is no process for it that facilitates academy players coming thru to first team in any meaningful system... It took sanctions to have it happen in recent years. @@anjolatope-babalola2338

Klopp finished 8th in his first season , and yes he wasn't given a "billion pound squad" but if you actually look at the squad most of that billion isn't even our starting 11 .
55mil nkunku / 80mil fofana / 50mil -lavia / 30mil ugochukwo - injured the whole season basically. 100mil enzo was playing with injections and pain for the past 6months .
Captain and Vice captain Reece James and Chilwell absent for most of the season ,
First team GK Sanchez -injured 70% of the season.
    Literally 70% of chelsea's current starting 11 is our B-team .
Most of our key players are out .
Saliba ( 1 player ) was out from arsenal for half the season, and arsenal dropped in form massively .
+ Poch was never given anything he wanted .he asked for experience he was given teenagers and the second youngest squad in the world . He asked for a Broja replacement in the winter transfer market , he wasn't given anyone . He has made gallagher the captain , and gallagher will probably be sold in the summer .

Given the pre-season and amount of time he’s had at his disposal, he could have implemented a workable system more quickly and gotten them all in tune. Injuries or not. I don’t agree with the sentiment that the team does not have leaders on the pitch. They do, but Poch was not able to get the most from them. In summary, my point is that it was possible to achieve a more comfortable league position if Poch did things differently.

  • @thechriscrowing
    @thechriscrowing 12 дней назад

It feels wild to me that Chelsea would consider binning Poch at this point. Sure, they've been inconsistent and just about challenging for Europe is below expectations, but there's clear growth in the team, since losing toi Wolves in February they've only lost to Liverpool (after extra time), Man City and Arsenal (albeit that last was a complete gubbing) and have wins over West Ham, Tottenham, Man Utd, Everton, and Newcastle. The downsides have been more draws with teams they *should* beat, like Sheffield Utd, Burnley and Brentford but that's all part of the growth curve they're on.
Given the need to pull a team out of the shattered remnants of the last Abramovich era side and the proceeds of a sugar junkies shopping spree in a sweet shop, a cup final, a semi final and finishing 6-8th is a decent return.
Thee forward line is clicking (and with Nkunku not even factored in yet, Chelsea have OPTIONS next year) midfield seems to have sorted itself out a bit and in recent weeks the defence seems to be coming together too.
Chelsea don't need big surgery this summer and I reckon their hierarchy should move heaven & earth to attain stability and give Poch the support he wants.

He's on Ancelotti money. Debatable if the man-management is equal. Tactically not the most savvy. And in-game management has always been questionable. CV trophy wise is far far distant. Also has very little to no connection with the fanbase. In an ideal world Pochettino would be replaced.
I think if he survives, it's just because of the lack of proper top options that the club hasn't already exhausted. Or the hope/expectation that someone better will emerge and take over in a year or two when Pochettino's contract comes to a natural end.

Honestly you guys need more patience. We were spoiled under Abramovich and its been chaos since the transition of ownerships. This season is the first time I'm seeing progress and stability. You're absolutely nuts if you thought this team was gonna get top 5 at the beginning of the season. Keep Poch until at least the end of his contract and we'll have good foundations to hire a coach who can really win trophies or even keep him beyond that and take a chance on him long term. Bottom line is sacking him this early is a huge mistake and will completely derail the clear progress we're making. I promise you it will be a mistake.

Competing for top 4 should’ve been the expectation I’m sorry. And certainly being midtable for majority of season certainly is ridiculously underperforming. Two and a half games shouldn’t change the overall concerns of the club and its model.

    • @jamielovesjayne
      @jamielovesjayne 13 дней назад +1

@@newrecruit100 I'm sorry but City, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Arsenal and even Spurs have much better squads imo and have stuck with their managers apart from Spurs who brought in Ange and has had a much better team available to him including Son who's one of the best forwards in the world. Who do we have up top? A child who hasn't played in the premier league before in Jackson (not mentioning Nkunku because he's been out injured most of the season and well Raheem is dogshit imo). Then you have Newcastle to contend with and they could have been higher up the table themselves if not for injuries and Tonali getting banned. United are shit but they're not a new team and this is their managers second season in charge. So with all that information at hand how on earth are we expecting top 4 at the beginning of the season with a squad of kids who have never played together? Then on top of that we ended up having the worst injury crisis of any team in the league. Make it make sense please.

Poch is trying to clear up the mess he inherited. He will find another club if he's fired. he has demonstrated he's still a good coach. The owners are clueless and deluded. They have wasted their investor's money and destroyed value. I heard they fired the entire medical team and not surprisingly have an injury crisis. The sporting directors running the club have never played or coached the game, they are data analysts from clubs that have never won anything, Brighton and Monaco. I have two master's degrees in finance and business. I have worked on Wall Street and analysed data. Football data analysis sounds like a scam. How do you compare the Ukranian and Premier Leagues? Do you have enough data to evaluate a young player who has played a handful of professional games in another league, like Jackson? I started watching Chelsea in the 1960s, went to school in London, and my best friend has always supported Spurs. This badge nonsense is ludicrous in this day and age. The top managers are foreigners who have coached everywhere, like Mourinho and Ancelotti. The best managers have probably picked up experience at a club the fans don't like, otherwise, you end up with Lampard or Terry as your head coach. Getting rid of Poch would be another mistake, It took Fergie seven years to win the Premier League and Klopp five years.

No point replacing him in the summer, that would just reset the rebuild all over again. I was skeptical of Poch but he has proven record of developing young talents which is exactly what chelsea needed. The team is clearly improving over the course of the season both individually and collectively. We see palmer, gusto, madueke, caidedo, cucu, jackson etc all improving. It would be a mistake to cut the progress prematurely.

Jackson has improved, and he has 13 goals. He will come good. The more these young players improve, and play as a team, the better the attack will come. We have scored 70 goals this season, and that's good from an inexperienced team. The defense is a bigger problem, 59 goals against is not good enough.

The Premier League is definitely the strongest league in the world. Most other leagues have a few high level teams and the rest are awful. In reality though it’s more like 2 or 3. Pick out the club in 10th place in each league and compare them. Even though Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool are usually dominating around the top. It’s the overall level that the other teams have that makes it competitive. There’s Chelsea, Man Utd, Newcastle, Aston Villa, West Ham for a start. Then you have Leeds, Brighton and Everton. Compare the quality of the lower clubs from each league to see who’s league is best

You’re proving my point by listing the top couple of clubs from each league. I’m not saying the premier league has the best clubs I’m saying the league is most competitive. Plenty of the most recent seasons have had premier league clubs in most European finals. Most entertaining is because it’s the most competitive. That’s different from having the best clubs. Anyone can lose a match in the premier league because it’s the most competitive.

    • @whyfi1141

Are you honestly suggesting the top 10 clubs in any other league are at an equal level to the top 10 premier league clubs? Do you really think any other league has more closely matched clubs.
Did you honestly just say Atalanta are better than every club in the premier league? The competition is harder to win because it’s more competitive.

Never wanted this spursy joke of a manager to begin with. Tuchel has made it crystal clear he's open to return to Chelsea and it is a no brainer to bring him back. Sadly our owners won't because clearly the players are satisfied with mediocrity and the owners have no clue what they are doing or the direction of the club. Looking at this season, it's clear that Poch cannot go head to toe with the best managers in the league. Lost final to a Liverpool team full of kids, lost to a Man City team at their worst this season after a grueling Champions League draw. Those games were for the taking and you cannot tell me the squad was not good enough to beat those teams IF we had a better manager. Sure, we will probably get top 4 next season with Poch but I know for a fact that we are not getting more then that and maybe a cup run. Just him fooling us with his rhetoric at the beginning of the season talking about how there is no time at Chelsea and then switching the tune when it was obvious we could not compete.
