Get it Brendan! I had the same kind of loss you've had, and even though losing your parents never fully heals, one of the best things you can do for yourself is put your all into something you're passionate about. Much love dude.
Watching this video brings back so many memories of Daddy Jack's incredible talent and warm presence. It's hard to believe it's been several years since his passing, but his legacy lives on through his hundreds of amazing videos. Daddy Jack was not only a skilled chef but also a down-to-earth and informative teacher. His family should be incredibly proud of his accomplishments, knowing that his fans, like me, still hold a special place in our hearts for him. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe and keeping Daddy Jack's spirit alive. Sending love and gratitude from a forever fan!
Jack... My fiancé Ken Bush passed away September 26. He enjoyed watching your videos. He said your videos helped him to be able to eat. He had cancer and had no appetite most of the time. Thanks for your videos! He spent his last days watching you.
Daddy Jack, I was born and raised in Westerly RI, this is such a gas to watch. After I moved to California, my mom would send me a soupe every spring until she passed. Next time I visit, we're going to your joint. God bless ya, buddy.
I miss being the fng cook... But also do i love being able to walk with the confidence only mentors can give you. 20 years on as cook and 25 years since i first stepped into a kitchen for a dishawashing job my school friend who was a few years older was working as bus boy when he left high school he said bro im gonna get you a job and he did. At 16 i worked in Beverly Hills washing dishes and prepping food. I am grateful for that door opening and i have this as advice to even a full novice cook. Buy a chef coat 4 good knives 1. Chef knife atleast 8 inch 2. Bread knife 3. Pairing knife 4. Filet knife 5. Veg peeler 6. Rubber spatula 7.fish spatula 8. Thermometer 9.knife steele And go knock on a door some will close but one will open.
A word from aptos ca. Thank you for being alive and a kitchen monster. This is my wife’s you tube acc, but I have taken it over watching your videos. You are the real deal. On my bucket list to get to your cooking in Connecticut. Keep em coming!

Big Daddy, it'll be a real sad day when you decide to hang it up. 😞😪😔 Hopefully, upon your retirement, you'll continue to influence all 'Cooking with the Blues' videos. Peace out.
