Still great to see a chef that can keep it basic, but at the same time has a lot of variety and love for the art. It may not be "high class" but this is where I think you can define a good chef. Always open to new stuff and backed by a ton of experience.
I'm definitely traveling from NYC with friends to your restaurant to sample as many of my fav dishes that you've made on your youtube channel. Hope to meet you too, you're a stand up dude.
Still watching Daddy Jack's video's and some over an over again. Love this man, God Bless you and RIP, you are sorely missed Sir...Blessings an prayers out to your whole family..
I have to make sure I eat something before I start watching your videos because otherwise I would be drooling the whole time. That sandwich looks delicious.
Argentina is full of Italian descendants. We have a classic plate called Chorizo a la pomarola. It’s pork sausage with pepper tomato sauce. When it works, it works
In the 60s my uncle was a butcher for a small rural grocery and farm supply store and I would have a bite of raw beef on a cracker with a little horseradish. I have great memories of those days! Great video big daddy Jack!
My grandfather used to take me to Emily's Lebanese deli in minneapolis. Used to eat the raw kibbeh. That was 35 years ago, still eat it to this day. Good memories
And not just cooking, but personality-wise Jack would be the preferable out of the three to shoot the breeze with. I could sit and listen to his stories all day.
Oliver Podmore I hear ya .. it’s all taste, I never considered green peppers bitter but then again I love very bitter broccoli rabe. To each their own but regardless anything DJ is making, I’m eating!
A recipe anyone could try, even with a regular burger, maybe good aberdeen angus meat. Im gonna cook it tomorrow all the way over here in the UK. Love this channel. Made me realise all American cooking isnt just grits and lard. Some real passion for food here.
Thanks Mark, Glad you enjoy the videos, I bet that Aberdeen angus is some good eating! Probably all natural and super tasty! One day I will check it out. All The Best to You and the UK, many friends there. Jack
Jack has always something nice to say. Great chef, best on RUclips. Can’t wait to come dine at your place, Jack. My lady and I would like to make the drive from Toronto, Ontario soon. Maybe even this summer. Much Love from Canada.
Jack!!! You should be on T.V! Easy gourmet recipes that take less than 20 mins to cook! I wish I lived closer to you because I would be at your restaurant everyday!!!!!
You did that, too? LOL! Years ago, my father and I used to go to the Italian Market in Philly, and we had a butcher who would make up sausage out of lamb, veal, and a crapload of garlic, onion, and black pepper-- it was so good, I used to nibble it raw!
I went into a German pub and ordered a litre of beer and a sausage. It took them 20 minutes to get the beer out and I'm afraid the Wurst has yet to come😂😂😂
Big shoutout Daddy Jack . I lost my wife in December 2018 and I have cook for my family now your videos help me a lot . My wife's was Chicken cord on blue . Can you make a video of that . Thanks Freddy Bowman ,in Virginia .
Appreciate the hot italian with pepper sammie. The only place i could get a good one was at carnival/fair, which is kinda creepy food.. So now i can make my own. thx jack.
Try this Jack. Tequillaberrys salad. From minnesota. Its cheap and addicting: *1 head of cauliflower chopped *1 head of lettuce or spinach chopped * 1 lb of good smokey bacon crispy and chopped -Dressing.... *1 cup hellmans *1 1/2 cups parmesan * 3 Tbs vinegar * 1/3 cup sugar. And black pepper and whatever the hell else you want. This was used as an appetizer at tequillaberrys restaurants. Makes alot of $$$$$$
Mr Chaplin, looks like you hit it out of the park on that one! Hot Italian sausage sandwiches is the wife and I go to comfort food, I would like to try that orsinis xxx Italian sausage
Sometimes, I make what I call the "Godfather Burger". It's 2/3 ground beef 1/3 spicy Italian sausage with a little bit of crumbled feta in it. Then I do the buns like you did, with garlic butter. Roasted peppers and a plop of super chunky marinara. A little shredded mozzarella and broil til it's melted.
The Godfather would approve although maybe a piece pf mozzarella in the middle instead of feta for me. Maybe some aged provolone ? Good Idea Phreak! The Best, Jack Become a Member Of "Cooking With The Blues" www.patreon.com/CookingWithTheBlues

Hi Jack (don't say that in an airport) - found you by accident a few months ago and I'm an instant fan. I'm in Dallas and I hear you talking about your history here so I "used the google" and found you had 2 very popular restaurants in the DFW area that unfortunately have recently closed. Do you have other restaurants around the country? Regardless - I love your channel and now I'm hungry...
Hi Bob, We had 7 or so Daddy Jack's in the Dallas/Ft. worth area with the 1st one being on Greenville Ave., opened in 93. Sold the business and building 2 years ago and closed Ft. Where in Dallas do you live? All The Best, Jack

Daddy Jack- When I was young our butcher would also fresh grind beef and when we got home we would spread that raw beef onto a slice of buttered bread, add a hub-cap size slice of white onion, salt, pepper, and... oh what a great cannibal sandwich!
