Amazing video , your AI videos are incredible , after all information is power , the better you understand the mechanics the calmer one gets and the better you can perform. Props , thanks for the in-detail analysis. For those that want an easy cheese that still works in the latest version all you need is a bit of distance and any cover , remember , he can shoot through doors-. Regardless make sure the nut sees you or hit him once and make some distance , you need to bait two shots and have it reload , as soon as he reloads run towards him and jump anytime before making contact with him , as the way the AI works it will track your last known location on the ground , which was in front of him before you jumped , so it will keep looking at that point without moving , it's hitbox is null only during the reload period , so you can stay at the back and get the free 5 shovel hits in. As long as you don't walk out in front of him or have a friend do that , you are a-o-k. Happy hunting everyone.
I would never play stuff like war thunder, but not gonna lie, it's the first Time I actually SAW the gameplay/graphic instead of just a reused trailer or small compilation of the Game. Thank you for that, I think at least now I know *something* about the Game after 200 sponsors I watched about it.

I don't know if it's just me, but i'm pretty sure the nut will only kick you if you are in front of it's legs. Being behind it's legs won't get you kicked. You can actually stand in the nut when it's firing which is how the crouch cheese works. But get too close to those front legs and you will get kicked. This is different from what you said which was, if you touch the nut at all you will be kicked.
IV'E BEEN WAITING SOOO LONG FOR THIS VID AS NUTCRACKERS ARE THE TOP G (in my opinion because there not only just cool but they are also 1 of the 2 entities/monsters that drop an item when killed (the other one being the butler). Sadly this comment is late since i just got home from holiday where there wasn't Wi-Fi, hopped on RUclips to see what i missed and saw this video Edit: THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH ALTER EGO I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS AND FIND THEM REALLY HELPFUL!!!!!!!
My first encounter with a Nutcracker, I was terrified. I was an Intern, and had no idea what the thumping and creaking was, and my teammates didn't either as this was a few days after Nutcrackers were added. I hid for a while, begging my teammate to get back to the ship and teleport me. When about five minutes passed with no teleport, I managed to sneak up to the right balcony. A Coil-head cornered me for a good while and I was just crouching there, scared to hell. The Nutcracker then stomped up the balcony and shot me. Thankfully, I had all my health so it didn't kill me, and I flung myself off the balcony, out the door and sprinted back to the ship gibbering like an idiot. When my teammates respawned they were all flabbergasted I survived.
A few glitches I found while messing about with control company. Loot Bugs can steal the shotgun from the nutcracker, however a player can’t pick it up till the nutcracker is dead. Loot bugs have zero cooldown and need no ammo when holding a shotgun.
i didn't know about the attack speed buff they got, but that does explain a few deaths i've had when fighting them also didn't notice that they scuddle walked forward after the first couple shots, this also explains a few deaths, the issue when looking back is when fighting him i am not seeing what their feet are doing since i assumed the hit box was a actual box on the nutcrackers head but it's actually the full model when it come to the nutcracker you need to be mindful of where you kill it as if it falls backwards into a bookshelf or a wall or even into the stair case chances are your not getting the prized double barrel shotgun
so pretty much the instant it sees you, take both hands off the keyboard and mouse, don't even think of trying to make a cheeky little mouse movement, thinking it won't see it
5:20 Yeah, the nutcracker can kill other enemies. This includes snare fleas that are on players' heads. In that case, the snare flea dies and the player doesn't take any damage (from that shot, at least). You can also use the shotgun to shoot snare fleas off another player's head, to the same effect
good stuff! though, correct me if i'm wrong, but when nutcrackers were aggro'd on a player and they are searching for that player because they went out of the nutcrackers LoS, doesn't the nutcracker only look for that particular player and will only start shooting the player it targeted immediatly, but if a different player were to be in its LoS without moving, they wont get targeted?
Fire video! After Your done with all the vanilla enemies you should do an AI behind some Modded enemies, As long as you get permission from the owners ofc.
I have a monster mod idea for Lethal Company if I become a modder in the future. So here it is, and I will also explain it's AI. Name: 'Meat pecker' Hazard Level: A Max Spawn: 6 Most commonly found on: March (outdoors) 48.06% chance of spawning Health: It takes 7 hits with shovels, stop signs, and other melee weapons besides the knife. It takes 4 hits to kill with the knife. And finally, it takes 2 hits to kill it with a shot gun. Stun Time: 17-24 seconds The time it spawns: Unlike most enemies. It doesn't spawn IMMIDIATELY, it actually spawns at a specific time. 10:55pm. Appearance: It looks like a giant wood pecker, basically 2 players big, and 3 players wide. It is covered in blood and has a very disturbing appearance and it's beak is MUCH longer than a normal giant wood pecker's beak, the beak is around 3.5 players long. And the beak is really bloody like dark red bloody and the Meat Pecker has exposed teeth. The teeth is really disgusting and pointy, but also when you look really closely, the teeth is actually yellow but its covered in dark red blood. It's eyes look paralyzed, it is dark somewhat glowing red, and the actual pupil and iris are COVERED in blood. The entire body is pretty much covered in blood. It also has strange disgusting looking skinny boney hands below it's wings COMPLETELY and utterly covered in blood, in fact it is the bloodiest part of the body besides the beak. And the hands have really sharp claws and they are extremely pointy. Damage: The Meat Pecker does around 40 - 60 damage when scratching or slicing you with it's claws in it's hand. Meanwhile it insta-kills you if it bites you and grabs you with it's large beak. AI: The Meat Pecker never spawns indoors. It usually mostly spawns near Meat Pecker nests, ontop of large mountains, or ontop of large trees. When they do spawn, they always spawn REALLY far away from where the ship lands. And they always ONLY spawn at 10:55pm. Meat Peckers have 5 stages: Stage 1: Roam Stage 2: Aerial Roam Stage 3: Nest Patrol Stage 4: Stare and then Stalk Stage 5 Aggro The second a Meat Pecker spawns, it immediately enters sub-stage 1 which I didn't mention about. Nest Locate, at this sub-stage, the Meat Pecker immediately gets a green bubble around it, about 9m wide on all sides. The bubble's goal is to make contact and locate a nest and to tell the Meat Pecker to go to that nest. The second this stage starts, the Meat Pecker will immidiately use the standard roaming system that the Jester, and the Forest Keepers use. The Meat Pecker will begin checking nodes FARTHEST away from it. It has a check distance of 4m, it will walk towards the nodes with about the same speed the player has when walking but slightly faster. But it will only go to nodes that are far away from players so they wouldn't get caught. It will keep on doing this until the bubble makes in contact with a Meat Pecker nest(which by the way there can only be ONE nest in the entire map), to which the Meat Pecker will IMMIDIATELY enter stage 3 nest patrol, where it will fly really close to the nest and protect it. It will keep on patrolling the nest until it either spots a player, or it's 22-46 second timer of patrolling around the nest stops to which it would either enter stage 1 roam, or stage 2 aerial roam. There is a 60% chance of the Meat Pecker cholsing stage 1 to which it will make chirp sound that can be heard from pretty far away. The chirp sound for stage 1 which lasts for about 3 seconds sound like a woodpecker's chirp but deeper and more distorted. There is a 31% chance of the Meat Pecker choosing stage 2 to which it will also make a chirping sound but a little different. The chirp for stage 2 sounds more like a combination of a crow's "BAAAAKKK" but a repeated version instead of only being said once, and a woodpecker's chirp but WAAY more distorted than the stage 1 chirp. And after the stage 2 chirp, you can hear it flapping its wings violently. And finally, there is a 9% chance it will just stand still for about 4-7 seconds, and it will repeat stage 3 nest patrol and repeat the cycle again. Lets talk about stage 1 roam. The second this stage is activated, the Meat Pecker follows the standard roaming system of the Jester and the Forest Keeper. It's check distance is only 1m. And it will keep on checking nodes left and right until it enters stage 3 again, stage 2, stage 4, or stage 5 aggro. Stage 2 is a little more interesting. Once this stage starts, it will fly high up into the air, but just to the point where you can just barely see it on the sky. Then, a red bubble that is around 12m wide in all angles will spawn on the Meat Pecker. Then wherever the bubble spawned based on where the Meat pecker was, it will stay there, it will not follow where the Meat Pecker goes. The bubble acts as a barrier, so the Meat Pecker will only check the nodes that are inside the bubble(and also in stage 2, the check distance is 3m, it can check nodes on the ground from the sky), and once all the nodes inside the bubble are clear, the bubble will spawn on a new place that has nodes that havent been checked yet, than the Meat Pecker will fly into the bubble and repeat the process OVER AND OVER again until either it spots a player, or it has already checked all the nodes on the map to which it will IMMIDIATELY go back to stage 3 to patrol the nest and repeat the cycle over and over again until it spots a player. Now we are getting into the juicy ones, what actually happens when it spots a player. If a Meat Pecker happens to spot a player in either stage 1, 2, sub-stage1, or 3. It will IMMIDIATELY enter stage 4, stare and then stalk. If it is flying in the air and it sees a player, it will simply slowly land back on the ground quietly, then it will stay on that position, and stare. If it is in the ground walking, it will just simply stand still and stare. The second it enters stage 4, a suspicion meter is introduced. Similar to how Forest Keepers use a suspicion meter to determine when to become aggroed. Meat Peckers also have a suspicion meter, it rises(RUclips IS MESSED UP! I did a whole 1 hour essay of My ideas that took so long! And it says "Request contain an invalid argument" like a monkey is in control of this. That is it, Im done writing 6 hour essays only for RUclips to keep on doing the same thing, its the closest thing to school). Anyways great video as always.

As the person above me said, the Nutcracker holds an actual shotgun item. You can even identify them on the radar extremely easily because of the scrap marker.
you didnt mention how its still possible to crouch under the shotgun to avoid getting shot. (though its much more difficult than before and he'll usually kick you immediately after). its still useful for quick kills though

You're ignorant to the reality. The "off script" line was just in the script lol. Don't be blind. Corporations lie.
@@AVeryOldLady4397 they sent him a script, he made a video of that script but instead asked if they were ok with him going off script and showed them the off script version, and they agreed

also, if an easter egg is close enough to the nutcracker and it explodes WHEN ITS IN PHASE 2 OR 3, it will kill it instantly. if you have no shovels, stop signs, yeild signs, or shotguns to fight it, make sure to try an egg if you have access to one. make sure to throw it when its looking away from you in phase 2 so it doesnt see you throw it. also note that nutcrackers will now shoot you if youre crouched as well.

Thank you for that, I think at least now I know *something* about the Game after 200 sponsors I watched about it.
bro actually got a sponsor gawd dang
I use mods… Nutcrackers Speak TF2 soldier, have Pump Shotgun sounds for shotguns and play the song Moscow in chase. An important note, as of V55 you can crouch to avoid the shotgun’s buckshot, I believe
no way man got a sponsor I'm so proud!
My favorite enemy. I love how its just a nutcracker with a freakin shotgun
Lol i didn't know about the tiptoeing functionality, the flight/flight was almost always over by the time two shots were fired. Thanks for the video!

i like how the Nutcracker walks on screen in the intro
“Before you skip-“ that ain’t gonna stop me
Before you ski---
Me: no
I don't know if it's just me, but i'm pretty sure the nut will only kick you if you are in front of it's legs. Being behind it's legs won't get you kicked. You can actually stand in the nut when it's firing which is how the crouch cheese works. But get too close to those front legs and you will get kicked. This is different from what you said which was, if you touch the nut at all you will be kicked.
There are a few ways that the leg kick will be canceled (like if it's reloading), but in general, touch = kick
I think the crouch cheese was patched, they can shoot down now.
@@EverthonHDNot entirely. The nutcracker doesn't shoot far enough down to hit you if you are very close; in kick range

BABE WAKE UP, ALTER EGO FINALLY POSTED THE NUTCRACKER AI EXPLAINED VIDEO.
IV'E BEEN WAITING SOOO LONG FOR THIS VID AS NUTCRACKERS ARE THE TOP G (in my opinion because there not only just cool but they are also 1 of the 2 entities/monsters that drop an item when killed (the other one being the butler). Sadly this comment is late since i just got home from holiday where there wasn't Wi-Fi, hopped on RUclips to see what i missed and saw this video
Edit: THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH ALTER EGO I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS AND FIND THEM REALLY HELPFUL!!!!!!!
What. Can they shoot??
@@winzigerflashendeckel6894 The nutcracker can only kick when its gun gets stolen.
The lootbug can spam the gun and just keep shooting
That's not actually true, only exclusive to control company lmao
@@winzigerflashendeckel6894 It's a control company thing. They don't do that normally
@@lamegamertime Makes sense, but it’s useful information for others that use control company
FINALLY, we’ve been waiting for this:)
Man Congrats on getting your first sponsor! This is genuinely the first time I have been happy for someone on youtube, it's crazy. 😂
i didn't know about the attack speed buff they got, but that does explain a few deaths i've had when fighting them
also didn't notice that they scuddle walked forward after the first couple shots, this also explains a few deaths, the issue when looking back is when fighting him i am not seeing what their feet are doing since i assumed the hit box was a actual box on the nutcrackers head but it's actually the full model
when it come to the nutcracker you need to be mindful of where you kill it as if it falls backwards into a bookshelf or a wall or even into the stair case chances are your not getting the prized double barrel shotgun
I love these videos keep making them
For some reason it took me so long to realise the nutcracker won’t shoot if you don’t move lmao
Me on my first interaction wirh it, running away from it: aaah, I'm hearing war music ^^
another thing. nutcrackers can see and SHOOT through doors. Learned it the hard way
I finally know why nutcrackers often shoot twice fast... I thought it was a glitch all along
Love your videos. Keep up the dope work
Surprised that Eyeless Dogs haven't been covered yet.
It's on the list :3
Although focus has shifted for at least the next two vids because of the new beta
Finally! Was waiting for this one for ages
so pretty much the instant it sees you, take both hands off the keyboard and mouse, don't even think of trying to make a cheeky little mouse movement, thinking it won't see it
And if you are on controller, pray for no stick drift
broo i need there to be a new monster so you can make another ai explained video, these are definitely my favorite lethal company videos out there
The nutcracker watching me hit the Party nozzle:
5:20 Yeah, the nutcracker can kill other enemies. This includes snare fleas that are on players' heads. In that case, the snare flea dies and the player doesn't take any damage (from that shot, at least). You can also use the shotgun to shoot snare fleas off another player's head, to the same effect
The tiptoeing explains why I get kicked so much
good stuff!
though, correct me if i'm wrong, but when nutcrackers were aggro'd on a player and they are searching for that player because they went out of the nutcrackers LoS, doesn't the nutcracker only look for that particular player and will only start shooting the player it targeted immediatly, but if a different player were to be in its LoS without moving, they wont get targeted?
I think that's correct? It would line up with their bestiary (before it got parts cut out) and I've seen a clip that seems to reinforce that idea.
Yes. The code indicates that that's what's supposed to happen, although the feature might be a bit buggy atm
Insym is obsessed with this enemy.
Bro i was literally about to ask for the nutcracker ai debunk 😂😂 timing is perfect
Really like the animated nut in the intro. Amazing video!
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CANT WAIT FOR MASKED AI VIDEO NEXT
there was a "grab button" when you look at shotgun in his hands what will happen if you try to steel it
Nothing happens, it has to be dead in order for players to take its shotgun
finally, great vid, sets the record straight, ggs for it
Fire video! After Your done with all the vanilla enemies you should do an AI behind some Modded enemies, As long as you get permission from the owners ofc.
I have a monster mod idea for Lethal Company if I become a modder in the future. So here it is, and I will also explain it's AI.
Name: 'Meat pecker'
Hazard Level: A
Max Spawn: 6
Most commonly found on: March (outdoors) 48.06% chance of spawning
Health: It takes 7 hits with shovels, stop signs, and other melee weapons besides the knife. It takes 4 hits to kill with the knife. And finally, it takes 2 hits to kill it with a shot gun.
Stun Time: 17-24 seconds
The time it spawns: Unlike most enemies.
AI:
The Meat Pecker never spawns indoors. It usually mostly spawns near Meat Pecker nests, ontop of large mountains, or ontop of large trees. When they do spawn, they always spawn REALLY far away from where the ship lands. And they always ONLY spawn at 10:55pm. Meat Peckers have 5 stages:
Stage 1: Roam
Stage 2: Aerial Roam
Stage 3: Nest Patrol
Stage 4: Stare and then Stalk
Stage 5 Aggro
The second a Meat Pecker spawns, it immediately enters sub-stage 1 which I didn't mention about. Anyways great video as always.

they were fun before kicking but now if theres no columns or 90 degrees angles nearby(quite often, actually) they're nearly impossible to kill early game. Still in the spawn room fighting them is still great
I doubt you'd find one on early game tho.

I never played Lethal Company and I want to ask, why there is a grab option on you get closer to him?
I think it was supposed to be hint that its possible to obtain it because without a grabable gun in the nutcracker Nobody would even get Close to him
It's because the gun item is legitimately in his hands and always shows the prompt, even when it's not grabbable ig
As the person above me said, the Nutcracker holds an actual shotgun item. You can even identify them on the radar extremely easily because of the scrap marker.
U can't, just won't let u pick it up
bro did NOT go offscript
you didnt mention how its still possible to crouch under the shotgun to avoid getting shot. (though its much more difficult than before and he'll usually kick you immediately after). its still useful for quick kills though
I recently ran into a nutcracker on 61 March, which mind you: Is only a 0.98% chance!
I've been waiting for this
I'm not sure if this is a bug, but it happens a lot. After a reload, instead of continuing with normal stop and shoot behavior, they just turn their backs towards me and start running at me. This usually ends up with me getting kicked or them deagroing.
They should add a variation of the nutcracker call the constable witch is a nutcracker but looks like an old policemen with one of those helmets and instead of a shotgun they have a police club
