Super complex for a beginner, I might go the Amazon path for simple installation
Good to know even the profession doesn’t get the usb in on the first try..I’m not alone
The USB connectors always go the other way.
Another great install video. Great radio.
Nice installation. I’m curious why you removed the 12vdc power port when there was an open space that could have been used.
You can install the replacement dual USB port anywhere you would like, that has the space and access to the rear for securing it. Many people do not want to modify the dash or a panel permanently, and the replacement mount is sized the same as a standard accessory/cigarette lighter outlet.
@@Stinger.Solutions Do you happen to have a link to the dual USB port ?
I really liked the system you installed on the 20011 Chevrolet sierra
I’m not a smart man but I would’ve kept the cigarette lighter in place and added the dual usb where the other was missing
I was about to write the same thing 🤣🤣🤣
Can you make an install kit for 1999-2006 Chevy Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban?
We don't currently have a HEIGH10 radio kit for this vehicle. However, we offer a universal HEIGH10 kit on Amazon. If this were the option you're interested in, you would need the corresponding pieces for the perfect fit based on your vehicle. Please see the link below for more information and contact us if you need further assistance by calling us at 1-800-477-2267 EX: 3333 www.amazon.com/dp/B083VRBKMF
Does this head unit have any compatibility with the rear dvd system?
Great video. Is the process and equipment he same for a 2008 GMC Sierra SLT?
Yes, Jeff it would be the same for the 2008 Sierra.
I can use this for Chevy Silverado 2011
excellent job.i have a 2008 chevrolet silverado would like to install an audio system.
Damn watched this whole video thought about getting one clicked the link and immediately cancelled I ain’t paying no damn 1k for a radio I don’t care how nice it is😂🤦🏼♂️
It looks badass in my 2015 lml and it’s a 10 inch screen I am happy with my purchase 👍
@@Aaronelliott847 oh I bet it does these are nice I just couldn’t pay that much for a radio when you can’t get nice ones for 3 or 400 bucks
@@hank1484 Nice for 3-400.lolol
@@BubaJ1000 You act like you cant buy the exact carplay radio that comes in the 2017's for that

Is there a guide video for a 2014 silverado 3500hd
Hello, yes we have a video for our 2014-2018 Silverado HEIGH10. Please see this link ruclips.net/video/gRQ3XwAtcsI/видео.html
So much better than that the 7 inch I added in mine!
I have the other dash setup in my 08 my 10.5 inch screen wouldn’t work because of the shifter (pissed) but wondering if a 9 inch will🤔
Whats newest model sceeen for 2014 LTZ Chevy Silverado screen? Mine didn't come hard wired or with a big enough screen?
We offer a HEIGH10 radio kit for that vehicle here. Let us know if you have any questions! 😎 stingeroffroad.com/collections/shop-chevy-silverado-products/products/silverado-sierra-2018-radio-kit?+videovehicle-fitment-guide
My heigh10 kit for my 2011 silverado didn't come with a radio replacement interface...do I need it?
You would need the radio replacement interface to provide switched accessory power and retain features like OnStar and steering wheel controls in this application. All kits for this application that ship directly from Stinger Off Road should include the radio replacement interface
Does the wire labeled pac link have to be used? Its like a yellow twisted wire
The PAC link connector is not needed in this vehicle application.
Is the screen easily removable? I don’t want to leave it at night for crooks to see
@stinger if I have aftermarket tweeters, speakers, and subs in my pickup would I connect to the amplified on non amplified
If the vehicle came with a factory Bose audio system, you would connect to the amplified port on the interface. If it did not have a factory Bose audio system you will use the non-amplified port. It does not matter if it has aftermarket speakers or amplifiers. It is only in reference to the factory system.
Do you need the radio replacement module or can I just wire it like any other car with a harness and crimp?
The radio replacement interface that is included with this specific package is required in these GM trucks. Many convenience and safety features in the vehicle are lost without it.
If I buy this unit, do I have to use the USB ports on the front to connect my iPhone 11?
You will use the USB extension that connects into USB1 on the radio brain for CarPlay and Android Auto.
Thanks for tips. Is the RP5-GM31 will work with my 2014 Siverado? Can I use a cheaper equivalent? I just want to keep the volume option from the steering.
We only offer the RP5-GM31 with this kit. You can contact a Stinger Dealer for other options. stingerelectronics.com/pages/store-locator
Can I follow these steps to Install my radio kit on my 2013 Silverado?
As long as your 2013 Silverado did not come with factory navigation from GM, the install will be the same
Does this work with Bose systems with factory nav?
You should have put the usb port WHERE THE 12V POWER OUTLET WAS MISSING instead of loosing the one that works🤔
He left a hole instead of leaving USB Ports on the right and the cig lighter on left. Looks boo boo to me.
Hello, how are you? I wanted to ask you a question. Have you installed a c2r gm29 interface? do you have any video? I installed one in my 08 yukon and when the radio turns on it makes a noise like static, do you have any idea what it could be? Thank you
We do not have any videos for that specific interface or vehicle. However, you can reach out to our technical support team when you have access to the vehicle and wiring and they will be happy to help you out. The number is 727-592-5991 and we are open from 9AM-8PM EST M-F
Where do I get the dual USB cigarette lighter port replacement and USB extension cables? Mine didn't come with any of that
The PAC SSUSB2 dual USB adaptor is included with this HEIGH10 vehicle specific package. If you did not get it in your package, we recommend reaching out to whoever the unit was purchased from. They should be able to get you one.
Just installed the Q80PRO into a 2011 GMC Yukon with the Bose Speaker option. All went well until I tried to connect the C connector to the head unit. When I did that, all I got was something that sounded like a ground in all speakers. When I unhook the C connector. The unit works beautifully, but only to the Front Speakers. All the other functions appear to work. Has anyone seen this before?
Give our support team a call and they would be more than happy to help you out. It would be best to be in the vehicle with access to the wiring when calling. The number is 727-592-5991 and we are open from 9AM-8PM EST M-F 10AM-5PM EST SAT Be sure to use the callback feature when prompted. Thanks!
I have a pioneer avh 4800 that I took out of my old car and now want to install in my 2011 Silverado. Will that rp5-gm31 work? I’m not sure which harness I need to get. My truck doesn’t have Bose either.
The RP5-GM31 harness would work for your 2011 Silverado.
So if I had a amp and sun installed would I plug it into the factory amplified or non amplified?
Which port you connect to is only dependent on the factory audio system, not aftermarket amps. If it had factory Bose audio, you would use the amplified port, if you did not have Bose from factory, it would go to the non-amplified port
I have a 2010 Sierra and REALLY want this. Under my climate control I have one normal "cigarette lighter" and one USB plug that connects to my radio. Would the USB be functional? May have missed it in the video
No it wouldn’t work
How does this work if you want to keep on star and factory Xm radio
Onstar will be retained and if you have steering wheel controls and a driver information center you will retain the factory satellite radio. If not you will need to add the SiriusXM SXV300V1 tuner.
Do all those wires rattle while driving? also why not use a metal mounting bracket? I feel like the plastic will get brittle or make the unit easy to steal...
What was that screen in the overhead console?
It's an aftermarket audio controller that was installed prior to the Heigh10.
Can I plug in my factory gps antenna?
Hello, if you have technical questions, please contact our tech support department at 1-800-477-2267 EXT: 3333
Just curious why not use heat shrink and soldier it?
Hi Dakota, soldering is generally viewed as the best connection for car installations but we understand not all our DIY consumers have access to soldering equipment. We decided to use crimp caps in this DIY video given they are easy to find and use and still provide a solid connection.
Have you had experience with Uconnect vehicles other than the JK? I have a Fiat and Ram.
They have a Uconnect 6.5 and 8.4
Our Sister company PAC does make interfacing modules for replacing radios, adding cameras, and adding amplifiers for many different vehicles. Depending on what time of modifications you are looking to make to your Uconnect Ram and Fiat vehicles, you might find a solution at www.pac-audio.com.
Thank you @stinger electronics
Do I ground the solid black wire labeled swc ground?
That wire, as well as the SWC Key 1 and Key 2 wires can be taped up or capped off individually. They are not needed in this vehicle/installation.
Mine didn’t power on the first try! 😭😭😭 guess I’ll do it tomorrow
Hello, please contact support@aampglobal.com or call 727-732-3114 for technical questions. Thank you!
Will do after I try to troubleshoot it. The chime works. Display just doesn’t come on.
Will this one fit a 2012 gmc 1500 denali
Nice work
is this the same install on a 2013 gmc sierra?
Yep!
Everytime I try to do an install I get to the install new step and think...Now take a 6" hole saw and drill through everything including the firewall. Take a hammer and bash everything back. Now pray that there's enough room to install the huge new harness in there. This is the shove and pray for no rattles phase.
Would this work in a 2011 GMC Yukon?
Hello, where did you buy that stereo and the dash kit? I have a truck just like that, you could tell me or send the links, I would appreciate it, it looks very nice installed

@@Stinger.Solutions Thanks! Also, If wanting to utilize the HDMI port should I buy a male to female HDMI cable? I didn't see that it is included in the kit. Thank you!
The kit does not come with an HDMI cable so you would need to purchase that separate.
Can I use the original harness ?
I have the oem radio ..
The kit comes with the harness and module needed to install the unit. It will connect to the vehicles original harness without any cutting or modifications to the vehicles harness.
Will this fit and work in a 2004 GMC Sierra Denali?
No because of the wiring youd have to find specific models that accept the wiring from you're 2004 sierra
I had to hit like cause it was at 666. Much better now 👍
Haha the hero we all needed!
Why just 08-11 ??? Why not the whole 07-13???

What happens to onstar do you lose it?
You will retain Onstar.
That radio works for work truck
I purchased the unit for a 2010 Silverado and they keep saying a speed wire…..I dont see a speed wire. Also Im down to the colored wires that dont match and they are different than the video? WTH
I found the speed wire..it was on a different harness. that was a win, but now I can’t find the purple wire……the only purple wires connected to speakers. I have other wires that dont match up or arent mentioned. The little dial doesn’t have numbers on my RP5…..not sure how to tell if its on four. Tried to look at the website but not much information there. Hopefully on Monday when they open again I can get some answers. If anyone has done this let me know how you found what wires go where.

Did you get it figured out???
@@JesseRodrigo-tl7hwI called the tech line and they got me through most of the wire connection. I learned that even though this was advertised as plug and play, it did not plug into the original Sirius antenna and I had to order a different one. The one they said to get didn't work and I ordered another one but have not installed it yet. The license plate camera they sent me did not work either, I ordered another one.
@@elmarty4803I’m struggling getting the steering wheel controls set up as well as the rear backup camera you’d think for 1000 bucks they’d have it all updated as far as instructions go…

@@Stinger.Solutions im sorry. I already have a deck. I just need the install kit, and the harness.
Went to there website they sell nothing for my gmc
What GMC do you have?
I clicked on a link to a dealer, it said "this will NOT fit your 2003 Silverado." Sure as hell looks like it will fit.
The dash kit and wire harness included in this kit would not fit a 2003 Silverado. You can install the Heigh10 in that truck you would just need to purchase the Heigh10 and correct parts for your truck separate as we don't currently sell that particular setup in a complete kit.
Anyone realise he didn't install all bolts?
Dang thought this was nice was gonna get one then it’s $1,200 seems fair for what it but ain’t for me
Can you watch movies on it while driving
The unit does require a parking brake connection for viewing videos.
i like the factory radio look better
Sticks out way too much
1,000 fr man 😐
It’s not worth the cost 1k 😂 that’s one just like but with a screen that sits nice and flush in the dash for $100 to $200
What is it called ?
@@gabrielelias180 just search amazon there’s a bunch
i had an amazon special that looked like the factory chevy/gmc nav radio, it claimed to do all the stuff this does and it would freeze, take forever to boot or not turn on at all when it was cold outside. while I agree 1k+ is a little steep don't cheap out and get one of those.
Anyone have this on the 2008 silverado ?
What is in the overhead console
Hi will this work for a 2012 GMC Sierra ?
It will work in a 2012 model year Sierra, as long as it does not have the factory navigation radio. If it does, it would require a different vehicle specific radio replacement interface than what is included with the kit.
Will this work and fit in a 2011 Chevy suburban?
It will work in the 2011Chevy Suburban, it uses the same parts shown in this video. Tag us in your installation pictures we'd love to see!
Will this unit work on a 2013 Silverado 1500?
It depends on what radio your 2013 Silverado has.
