The Radio Is Awesome, hands free calling is the main reson I bought it. But my favourite feature is offline maps. Google maps with the dongle ibut it good to know i can have maps even without a phone. I just dropped the dongle video. Its definately handy and more reliable with the dongle but your can get Android Auto using bluetooth even if you don't have w the dongle, save the $$$. But if you want to get text messages thru the radio you have to have the dongle for text to come thru.

I just drilled a tiny hole in my glove box and ran it there.... and I'm pretty sure i didn't need to install the GPS module because i use the TLINK option with no issues, it just uses the google maps app from my phone via blue tooth. Let me know if ya got any other questions, i might have the answer ;-)
I bought one of these, they seam to freeze alot and screen goes black at times then resets itself. I'm not sure if it's faulty or all like that . Currently doing a return 😒

Hey bud did you ever create the back up camera installation video. I just received my Eonon R80 along with the backup cam, dashcam and code reader. Looking forward to using this awesome video to install my new unit.
Just installed the Q80PRO into a 2011 GMC Yukon with the Bose Speaker option. All went well until I tried to connect the C connector to the head unit. When I did that, all I got was something that sounded like a ground in all speakers. When I unhook the C connector. The unit works beautifully, but only to the Front Speakers. All the other functions appear to work. Has anyone seen this before?
I have that same unit, (I think) but my buttons on the bottom do not light up. That’s been my only knock. I was hoping there was a setting or something that I missed.
Hey I have a problem with mine I plugged everything in according to Thai video and then it worked fine for a few months like 3 going to the 4th month it completely stoped working the screen was. Like if u dropped a iPhone and the Apple car play worked fine without the screen projection but over time it went out as well
I dont think so. Chevy never had this technology when the truck came out so its not really designed for that. but honestly the method of making your own holes looks factory once its done
Not sure. I know this radio has a plug in for the backup camera. Hopefully they use the same plug in and you will be able to plug it into the new radio. I didn't have a backup camera in my CHEVY so im not certian if it will work. But if the plug in is the same im guessing it will work.
@@MrFixit-op6nb I got it installed and the guy found the interface for the reverse camera so I does work with the stock camera but not recommended. The stock camera is made to work with the stock radio because of picture ratio I'm guessing it was give you a good clear picture when you kick it into reverse so I will update the camera to the eonon camera

Are you installing it in a Chevy or GMC? See the video description, i put every vehicle this will fit into and if you have that vehicle you won't need and aftermarket bracket.
I'm not a professional installer, i just don't wanna pay anybody to do it. Now i know I Shoulda used a rag to protect the screen.... oh well, luckily everything still works perfect
Sad thing about this is it has TERRIBLE reliability... I recommend going to Crutchfield to ensure you're getting the best unit possible and the best support and compatibility. Make sure to pick from the highest reviews and check the 1-2 Star Reviews to find a unit that's mostly likely reliable. Sadly, from hours and hours of searching myself the last few days, it seems the BEST Radios they have there are all SOLD OUT. Though, it also depends on what you're needing in a radio. Some are likely available in which you might not need certain features.
I looked at Critchfield before buying Eonon and decide ease of installation and addition features was a better deal for me. Eonon has been very versatile and has exceeded my expectations, I wish I had a crutch field in another vehicle to compare it to. But without paying for the crutchfield and comparing Im very happy with Eonon

Man, I hope I don't regret it... Hope I have your luck. I just couldn't find the price with the features I was needing, and the reliability, though it seems nobody almost makes anything good anymore. The only thing I'm thinking I might have issue with if everything works is figuring out how to install the Backup camera... Need to research that more and inspect my car to see how I can do it. I don't know if I can just run the camera/cable to the back and I'm good or if I have to do that and also tap into like the Back light or something?
@@Dag59990 ... Ya, the Eonon ended up working fine with my 2011 Chevy Impala. I had to request by email their Latest Firmware Update. And I did have to tap into my back Tail-light in order to power the backup Camera, but it all worked. I did have one issue with the backup Camera, I tried to attach it to one of the screws, and it worked but it stuck out some, and as a result ended up breaking it from the screw attachment. Though, if I remember right you can actually use "other" cameras with the system etc. Or just buy a new one from them. I just hadn't taken time to properly attach the backup camera. It still worked, and I likely could have found a way to glue it or something, but I ended up trading the car in. Also, I never did try the USB's which allow you to play video etc. So, don't know if that worked, as well I never did attach the Front Camera to see the same, or use the USB to do Android Auto or play Music. I had only tested the radio, it worked, and the system looked nice in the Impala, wasn't too hard to take apart the dash etc., followed the videos, can't remember if this video or another. Anyway... All I can say about it. Install wasn't too hard.

Right on! Ive got Android Auto working ill have a video on the Dongle coming out soon. There are a few tips I had to figure out to get it working

Installed mine and tested it, worked fine. After putting wires inside, tried it again, and nothing turned on. Do I need to do a reset?
Sounds like a wire has come loose. If it already worked you have proof it was working.
Id check the wires to see if one got damaged
You can buy a USB adapter so you can plug it in to your stock usb there instead of drilling holes in your dash

Did you keep the internal chimes? Like blinker sounds and keys?
Yes. I just put a piece of tape over the chime box to quite it down.
How do you play CDs
This is the next generation. It no longer uses CD's. Your need to upload your music to the radio unit
