This is such a great guide I love it! Really appreciate the shoutout and yeah, Galeforce is super satisfying to pull off despite the learning curve and I'm sure many will be able to succeed with this! I do agree Galeforce unit and investment wise is very accessible as even F2P units can work really well to contribue. Hopefully we both can get Velouria soon!

When doing kind of a hit n run galeforce with brave seliph, you can have eir in the team to restore his HP every turn, so that he can proc miracle once each turn, which can give you more time to kill that annoying near save
seliph is just so versatile!! every support somehow melds with him. he's a lot of fun.

Perfect timing for this video. In Astra season I had options with hit and run and vantage teams but in light I relied on tanking. This has really not been working well anymore lately so I've been thinking about building a couple new teams. Thanks a lot!

I currently use your both initiators from tier 0, Edel and Seliph are just too good. However, I found that H!Roy is also an amazing initiator, he has EVERYTHING. He has cav mobility and canto 2, has tempo, visible buffs, partial nfu, effective against beast and dragon (perfect against medeus) and can get a loooot of stats with his weapon and C skill. The only thing he lacks a bit is DR or some way to mitigate damage, so he can live and get to WoM range more easily. Still, with mythic buffs he can often live and activate the strat. What's even better is that he doesn't have any skill on his kit that requires his HP to be at a certain level.
H!Roy!! i didn't make an exhaustive list, because there just wasn't space, but he's gained so much value lately.
I like how the video timestaps the music but not the actual sections cause yt is weird. Glad this video came out though cause I just gave my Brave Chrom galeforce and I'd wanna see other people's takes on it.

Thanks for putting this tutorial together. I’ve been using a galeforce team for awhile now, but I had to figure out a lot of it on my own. This video helped me better understand what I was doing, and I like the support unit recommendations - especially with the criteria for choosing them. I’ll have to try some of those units - they may work better than the ones I’ve been using. I also enjoyed the replays and demos that helped show the strategies in action, and some of the unusual skills you gave your support units. The more advantages you can give your team or take away from your opponent the better! Thank you!

As a new player that was having a hard time learning what to go for to make a good galeforce team for Winter Cordelia I can't tell you how much I appreciate this type of video.
That was an amazing video. It sure must have took a lot of work to put together. For the longest time Galeforce in AR was my beast to be slain and it was so satisfying when I finally managed to get it to work.
I used B! Eirika for a whole year since her release and... It was fun, but not easy or practical (HB checks are hard and her weapon has an HP condition that can get shut off by Fury). Now I'm using B! Chrom and he is propably one of the best galeforce units in the game. He has ridiculous synergy with Velouria in both seasons (especially with Naga in Astra and Askr in Light) and have insane flexibility. In light season it's harder for me because I'm still stuck with four mythic comps for scoring reasons and don't have Askr. But I used EirForce for a really long time there and I feel this strategy deserved an honorable mention in your video, just to pay respect for past metas haha I had a supernatural luck the other day and was able to get S! Edelgard on time for the new Embla meta and she is saving my light season right now.
P.S.: I just wanted to point out that it's so funny that your last showcase didn't have any unit with galeforce haha It was very impressive!
EIR FORCE!! I was so happy I got to sneak that strat in in the B!Marianne clear that I showed. It was such a good strategy.
@@FEH btw, B! Marianne is another unit I used a ton with Galeforce strats (whenever the bonus unit rotation allows me to) and she is really amazing! I think people underestimate her power.
Besides all of the important and extremely helpful info you have put in here, 18:37 is my favorite moment because I completely agree. Sweep effects truly are swept on!
Anyway thanks you so much for the guide. I feel like I'm still at the first hurdle of having the right units to enable the strat, but I'll definitely be looking out for the units you've mentioned. Making a galeforce team doesnt feel dire just yet but I know it'd be helpful to understand how they work and how to actually use them sooner rather than later. So again, thank you!
I’m not sure it’ll be dire until Embla gets her rerun. We should start seeing more of her at that point.

On one hand I feel sad since OG Cordelia has been my premium Lance Flier/galeforcer and its time she retire (note i never got that big into galeforcing as a whole team) BUT NOW, Winter Cordelia means I barely have to change a thing and she's EVEN STRONGER. Lucky me, Time to learn how to setup a full galeforce team

I've been playing for years and always struggled with AR, and my normal save-tank strategies never seem to work. Frustrating! I've wanted to try galeforce for so long but never knew how to build a good team.
This video helped me so much! I recognize there's still a learning curve with piloting a galeforce team, but I can see the potential there and it's exciting!

I've been experimenting more with Galeforce since the Braves came out. My personal favorite team is Brave Seliph with Brave Chrom and Mythic Dagr.
i decided i wanted to hand type all of those. i'm not sure why i did that 🤣
Seliph + Chrom is amazing!! they work really well together.

Favorite initiator is still Lynja, with Fury 7 so she can hit twice to activate the beacon. Disarm trap is everything, which is why I’m glad you recommended FT Tana! In fact I had no idea how good she was until I saw this video, so I went for her. Thank you! She will be a great alternate to Lynja since she acts much in the same way, even with a similar style duo button (just need to make sure her dancer is Askr like D Peony).
Astra is supported with D Seliph (cav movement) and D Dorothea (to activate D Seliph). Light is supported with Cavzura and Ninjorin. It’s a beautiful thing when it works!

I love using fallen edelgard's solar brace 2 :) (look around 5:30)
Anyways, its not exactly galeforce, but I like using Yuri as an enabler for BChrom on a bunch of maps. How I play it is pick off a unit with Yuri, repo with Chrom, have Chrom kill a unit and activate galeforce, then stand in place, kill another unit and canto 5 back. My Yuri is high merge, so he can dodge hex traps with C Duel Inf 4 and the proper amount of mythics. I also put Rafiel on a team with them if I want Yuri to have Lethality to have extra help in killing a unit.
Oh. When you said Galeforce in the poll, I thought it was about the Special skill. I run Ninjorrin, Lynja, Lazura, Peony/Plumeria/Doppy, and then Mythic bonus w/ Smite. The team was good enough to get Golden Thrones a few months back, but now it barely falls out of range except during Chaos season.
Sounds amazing! I’ve been noticing that Lynja has been performing better in the current meta.
Lost all my ladders this week from trying to use saves and ascended tiki against legendary veronica and Embla. Time to learn how to player phase!
I just went up against a double Embla, Veronica cav line. They’re a menace!!
Even though I don’t play Aether Raids I still watched this anyway because I like you content and I usually learn something new when I watch. I’d say the main reason I don’t play Aether Raids is because it’d be too hard for me to jump into it now since I haven’t been doing it since it released and I can’t afford to summon on every banner to get the new “meta” unit.

Definitely play the game the way that it makes you happy. We all have day jobs after all, but if you wanted to get into it, aether raids doesn’t need the latest units. For the most part, you only need a couple mythics.

Wow a great video on helping me out with galeforce strats. I hate using galeforce but my tank teams have been failing tremendously. NOW IF ONLY I COULD SUMMON CORDELIA FOR GALEFORCE. IT'S BEEN MONTHS SINCE I'VE SUMMONED CORDELIA FOR GALEFORCE

S!Edelgard has been my premium GF carry since her release. I +10 her because I loved her as a unit and she’s been the MVP for my barracks since the summer and now. B!Chrom and L!Ninian have made her a monster along with Eliwoods refine for the added support and Naga's Refine to destroy brave Animals defenders who opt for Dragon Saves.
I have B!Seliph as a backup but with being a Cav I’ve found some instances of terrain being a minor nuisance. With Edelgard I use B!Chrom for positioning or Naga with Smite while everyone patiently waits to pounce with Wings of Mercy.

I am a little surprised that initiator tier list doesn't include desert Karla where her base alt is included.
it's more about kit synergy with her, although some folks have suggested i should've included AoE initiators as well. the list of possible units is just insanely long.

Really cool video. I enjoyed watching it a lot. Two comments - in the last map, you could have just moved Chrom to the spot where you put Seidr as long as you left Mirabilis alive. That would have trapped three units. Although I hope that your Seidr love is justified because I'm investing in her too. Second thing, I suspect that you don't have Harmonic Leif since you put him in a pretty low tier. If I'm right, do yourself a favor and pick him up on the upcoming Engage banner. Miracle, Canto 1, guaranteed desperation follow-up (occasionally) and the easiest Galeforce to activate in the game make him really effective in AR, especially when supported by Thorr's World Breaker.

H.Nailah is often forgotten despite having the total GF package, minus S.Edel's cheat. NFU+Tempo+Canto+Gravity. My main problem with her is availability, as I had such lousy luck pulling her.
GF is subject to luck; I faced a cav line today where the catapult was in my fence lane, and they properly placed traps on a line just in front. Picked the wrong trap and I ran out of actions real quick. Glass cannon horses are also hard to not one-shot, and double Embla made tanking not much of an option! I guess that was a vantage map.
H!Nailah is amazing. I debated on making an exhaustive list, but the time on this video was already so long. I had to cut something, so I tried to pick the most common ones.
You’re completely right about Galeforce being subject to luck. Beyond the building placement, you always seem to run into the one unit that hard counters your team 🤣
Thorr, Plumeria, Naga, D!Peony, Bonus/H!Caeda, W!Bernie/H!Caeda has been my galeforce team in Astra for awhile. Galeforcing is where it's at!
Has Thorr been holding up? I’ve started to hear that she’s lost a little steam lately.
@@FEH Hardy Bector (even as far save) and Bedel have posed challenges. However, Bedel can be beaten with the right support and strategy, and H!Caeda actually kills the Bectors for me. If the defense is all tanky units though, Thorr will struggle without a Catria or Cordelia buff.
Amazing video! One question that I have left is: what about bonus units? I've been trying several Galeforce teams and they really tend to lose quite a bit of firepower if you add a bonus unit that is mainly only use as a smite bot. But then you're losing lift if you don't include it. Thoughts?
That’s so hard to comment on since they’re different every week. I’ve seen quite a few folks build up the Askr trio for that. Anna & Alfonse with the arcane weapons perform ok, but they lack stopping power.
Ultimately, you have to adapt week to week. I will say that if you have the right Mythics, the bonus unit just becomes a smite anyway, but we don’t all have the “right” Mythics 😅
I love Galeforce teams!!! Discovered how bonkers they can be back when L!Edelgard first released and haven't looked back. I have some of the top tier initiators (duo Edel + everyone in tier 1), but I just adore using Fallen Dimitri. His extra mobility + canto is super nice and he hits like a freight train. I have only 1 merge but with dragon flowers and ascended stats/good IVs, his atk stat is currently 71 as a base so other units just melt

wow!!!! that's a build. i'm a huge arden fan. because he's a grail unit, you can easily merge him, and HP just doesn't get power crept. he's my main defensive far save, and it's been months since i've seen someone try to blow through him.
10/10 recommend.
What about Rutger (his refine still carries me), Hatari Karla or Male Shez? I also think Axe Larcei is also sorta unique being the only infantry with null follow up, null guard and special acceleration though she lacks slaying.
Honestly, you can use any melee unit. I couldn’t include them all because the video already had gone almost an hour. It’s the thing that makes the strategy accessible. The gameplay has a steep learning curve, but you can get so many units to work with it!
I love when he triggered Galeforce and Player Phased all over the enemy team

He is my first ever +10 (Got him fully merged in roughly 600 orbs total!) and have been running him pretty successfully as my initator alongside Winter Cordelia. Was interested in what you thought of his unique movement options and dual slaying nature and if you have tested him out much yourself. Love your content and always look forward to your uploads. I love duo Ephraim!! I honestly wanted a little more from his refine, but he’s still very good. If you were to run him on a Galeforce team, I’d highly recommend w!Bernie. You’ll probably need the bolt tower as well.

I know this video would be like 4 hours long if you made it, but it would be kinda nice to see some "combos" as in 2 or 3 units that complement each other very well, like, for example, F!Ninian makes S!Edelgard such an easy unit to initiate with and fall under the WoM (having breath from an external source allows S!Edelgard to run double fury and fall under WoM without even getting hit). There's also Yuri + Ash, I've seen some people use both to make initiators go through indestructible structures using Ash's warp in conjuction with Yuri's Foul play while also deactivating traps in the process.
There’s some one who did this exact thing as a series, and I can’t find it now! It was a really good one. Something like, “busted combos”

Very very informative! My biggest problem is bringing in the puzzle pieces for a team. Can we have something like that for SD too?
I need to start galeforcing, but I haven't yet because:
1) I haven't needed to yet, brainless saveballing is still working
2) I have +10 mythics that are useless for it that I want to run. (Often e.g. a bonus unit, +10 mila, +10 eir, +10 dagr. Then I have room for 1 dancer and 1 initiator)
Honestly, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it!
Lol, funnily enough I come here immediately after trying my W!Cordelia team against a few teams.
My biggest discoveries were: I need to give her enough attack to actually one round Medeus with the brave hits, part of my problem is that I actually don't benefit from the Clash skill since I use the Reciprocal Aid strat to get W!Cordelia into the front lines so she doesn't move many tiles at all.
And the second thing: I gotta get used to the fact that she doesn't have Reposition, lol. I actually lost a match because of it.
Also, be careful of positioning. I also lost a match because I forgot to put my Ash into range of Cordelia and she didn't get the brave hits.
Other than that it's a very good and serviceable team.
For me, the hard part about Galeforce is the minutia. That thought that you should’ve moved your unit one space to the left is just maddening!
The new units definitely make this easier, though, and I think W!Cordy is just a blast to use.
i actualy made a new account that its now the one im using when Sedel came out and its waay more fun and easier to do any game mode i +10 her and got an extra one for astra season and have not regret it, you dont worry about saves in AR or coliseum you can just get ur 2 score bots and the bonus and ez done the only game mode that its hard SD S since low resourses and need 4 teams but manage to get into 4.7k that get u max rewards anyways. and i dont think it will get nerfed anytime soon soo you cant go wrong with galeforce focused units and gameplay!!

I don't see him on your list, so I want to throw out Harmonic Roy for Light season. He can reliably defeat Medeus, Nott and, after using his Harmonic Skill, Embla without much sweat, which are major issues for Galeforcers during Light. I like to pair him with A!Mareeta and B!Marianne and I have a pretty good clear rate, though I think my kits need some updating - Clash would be great to have over Heavy Blade in Roy's A.

Despite how many times he said "true damage" you do not need true damage to galeforce. Somtimes you can't galeforce at all it you do too much damage. It does help though.
It depends a lot on the threats your seeing, but I’m more worried about getting the kill in the current meta. Near saviors are stacked right now!

How's everyone's experience with Galeforce so far now that Guard seal is around?
Honestly, it shouldn’t change much. Most of the top level saviors have some kind of guard. Just make sure you a blade seal or some form of acceleration in your PRF.
Don't be like me and get caught off guard SEVERAL TIMES by the fact that spring Sonya can teleport to spaces within two spaces of allies. Even if she is pinned :(

I got my first copy of S!Edelgard last month and she admittedly changed the way I play Light season (read: she allowed me to finally have a structured team), just in time for Embla’s release. Unfortunately, I still find it hard to fight through enemy Saves (especially R!Grima), none of my Galeforcers seems to be able to break through even one with her base kit (bear in mind I’m in Tier 21)
Sometimes, you need some serious attack stacking. If you have Duo Thórr. She helps a lot.
@@FEH I do have her (one copy at +1, and another one from the last DSH I’m probably keeping for fodder), and this video really made me realize how versatile she can be. I’ll definitely try incorporating her into a Galeforce team soon.

Joel, love this content. Question at 31:47. I assume Embla doesn't transform and extend range because she is running something else in her b slot/in theory doesn't want to extend range because of the catria ball. How would you approach this map if someone was running beast agility on Embla? Try to bait her out and then mop up? Probably beyond the scope of the video, but this map is common and I'm struggling to find a way through in that scenario.
I'm curious, now that there is Duo Askr, in what position would I be in the support rank?
I know it hasn't come out yet, but it can be very interesting to use in Astra season, for example.

You can definitely use Galeforce to tackle cav lines. Eldervi does it in the video that I included and there’s a link in the description to a his full video. I’m personally using vantage to clear those, though.

I’ve been running into teams that galeforce and tanking is almost impossible. Even the top units in this tier list have been failing me 😔. I guess it’s a skill issue…
It can be really tough to start. I’d look more at your supports. Who are you using?
Galeforce has aged well because it has no counters and probably never will.
Curious to see why no mention of BLys in the support list when she can be used as an alternative to WBernie.
Have you gotten a chance to use b!lys? I find her a bit limiting because she only dings herself.
@@FEH She is kinda limiting for none Chaos AR-O due to the extra HP, but for modes like SD or Chaos, she works just as good as WBernie. SDS is were she shines for me for those reasons (and because Spd Preempt).

Using bolt tower or safety fence is lame. I think the whole spirit of galeforce is using all your units from the get-go (turn 1) and finishing on turn 2.
I wish you showcased how to galeforce the harder teams that have traps on the enemy's frontlines. Showcase units best suited to galeforce at HP > 65.
"Galeforce strats take more time to clear" uhm excuse me good sir? I typically win by turn two or three with Galeforce strats while tanking typically takes until turn 5-7. If it wasn't for pots it would almost always end up being a turn one clear.
In my honest opinion, AoE beacons are the strongest of all the initiators right now. Among them B!Alm and S!Dimitri stand out the most. B!Alm has probably the biggest firepower in the game, with an AoE and S!Dimitri has the added benefit of debuffing the opponents team. The only downside to AoE beacons is that their teams are very expensive. W!Bernie or B!Lysithea are pretty much a must. Also units like Askr or Velouria help a lot to get the AoE ready on turn 1 or 2. You also need additional CD reduction to get Galeforce down to 1 or 2 CD.
Besides AoE beacons S!Edel and N!Lyn are probably the best one right now. Edel has her double Galeforce which makes her able to chip her own HP down pretty well with Fury. Although I find her firepower to be a bit lacking. She sometimes fails to get the kill. N!Lyn has the extra benefit of being able to run Disarm Trap, and in certain scenarios can dance herself. N!F!Corrin gets an honorable mention for me. Because of her self dance. Although this doesn't come up that much. Also I find Duo/Harmonized dancers to be a lot more useful for Galeforce strats. I myself have actually started cutting my mythic dancers for them.
Also I like the idea of ranking the mythics for galeforce. This is something a lot of people seem to forget. I generally find Galeforce strats a lot harder during Astra, since the Mythics just aren't that good for Galeforce. Thor isn't able to kill anything except dancers anymore and most others are kinda awkward to run, because they don't have Slaying. Hopefully Seidr changes things a bit.
AoE initiators are definitely strong, but you have to make up for the loss of an action somewhere else. S!Muspell is my current favorite, though. he's a joy to watch.
@@FEH Yea, that's also why I think Mythics play a very huge part in Galeforce strats. Askr and Ash are pretty much the premier mythics for Galeforce. Right now I'm only able to get AoE beacons to work during Light season. Because most Astra mythics just aren't that great Galeforce follow-ups and it's been a while since the Astra bonuses lined up so I could run AoEs in Astra. But in Light season AoE B!Almforce is pretty much one of my main teams.
Also this is actually one of the reasons why I started cutting mythic dancers from my teams for Galeforce. Using mythic dancers loses you one action compared to Duo/Harmonic dancers. Another reason for this is hitting HP thresholds. The extra 5 HP mythics provide makes some units a lot harder to use.
