    What is your experience doing Galeforce strategies?

    • @ajch22
      @ajch22 Год назад

      In my experience the only two things that have ever hard countered me are straight up +10 tanks with unmatchable def/res stats like Dheginsia with Arcane Grima (he pretty much forced me to spend all my actions on him), and a well positioned Gatekeeper. I swear Gatekeeper has single handledly ruin my runs just by standing still behind some structures so you are unable to Galeforce your way to him.

      @@ajch22 I can't wait til Gatekeeper gets his refine. More than that though, I'd love to see an inheritable Warp Bubble skill, just like how Canto Control is a thing. Sorry Galeforcers!

    Such a fantastic guide to galeforce, I've been watching your clears for a while but I was always lost on the teambuilding aspect.
    I know the video was already very long but still would like to see a few more aspects being talker about on the future like:
    -More examples on How to efficiently defuse traps against very aggressive maps. (Specially if you are on bolt tower countdown)
    -Bolt Tower vs Safety Fence (and how teambuilding varies for both)
    -Critical HP thresholds for WoM Beacons (Like when do you absolutely need fury 4 when 3 is not enough)
    -How to teambuild around healing tower weeks.
    -Also how to play around Medeus + Double savior during light season.
    Lastly a small note, but when using thorrforce you mostly don't need to worry about meeting checks thanks to world breaker, still a good habit to double check tho xD

    • @DTMFEH
      @DTMFEH  Год назад +1

      Thank you so much! Glad you found it helpful. And yeah those points I may cover in a future video, but on the HP thresholds for WoM, I generally advise that you should meet thresholds after 2 combats as mentioned in the video. For using Fury 3, that with the Fury seal means that you take 12 damage after combat, so after 2 combats you have taken 24 damage. Meaning that for using Fury 3, you would want your initiator to have an HP of 48 or less. Otherwise, using Fury 4 increases the damage after two combats to 28, meaning you initiator can have an HP up to 56 or less. Do note to make sure to include the HP buffs that mythics grant.
      And yeah I just realized that Worldbreaker was a thing so I didn't need to do those checks, but I guess it is still a good demo for checking those in case people aren't using Thorr still!

    I'm currently still learning this strategy and still lack the units to do so. Im currently compiling detailed guides such as this one. The problem Im facing right now are either my units kill the targets in one hit without triggering galeforce or they can't trigger galeforce in one single combat due to the target's guard. Even though I can take on some defensive teams, I still can't rely on my units on the higher tier... for now 😃

    • @DTMFEH
      @DTMFEH  Год назад +2

      I hope this helps you out in learning Galeforce! I think finding units that can proc galeforce in one hit (one-tap Galeforce) could be beneficial for you, potentially 2-1 dancers. I go into this a bit in the video but I have faith you'll be able to take Galeforce to the top tiers!

      I just started using a galeforce team this week in light season, I’ve been using brave seliph and velouria and it’s worked pretty well. My seliph is basekit with the heavy blade seal and my velouria is built like the one shown at 37:02 . Neither of them have any merges and they’ve served me pretty well, if you have either of them I’d say it’s worth a try

    I don't know why I watched through this whole thing, when I already got my Galeforce strats all figured out. Also I think you should have touched upon AoE beacons as well. I'm a pretty big believer of AoE beacons, since they are pretty much the most consistent at getting rid of pesky near saves some initiators struggle against. Also they are great at dealing with teams that have units on them from which you don't want to be taking a hit back. They are basically Bolt Tower on legs.
    You generally want your AoE beacon to get a ton of true damage on the AoE so they are able to run Growing Wind over Blazing Wind. B!Alm is pretty much the premier AoE beacon right now. Scendscale, access to Wrath, Time's Pulse and Infantry Pulse support make him work insanely well, while his damage output is kinda crazy. Also no Cav movement restrictions are pretty good on him. Even at low investment/merges he's able to take out most of the common near saves when they are at mid to high investment. Another really good one is S!Dimitri. He also has the added benefit of being able to debuff the opponents after combat. I've also heard someone mention B!Eirika once. But from my testing she wasn't quite as consistent as B!Alm and S!Dimitri. Another one which should work great is H!Karla. She doesn't need any help charging her AoE which is great and like B!Alm has access to Wrath. Although one downside of her is that she doesn't have 3 movement every turn.
    The hard part about AoE beacons is setting up the team, as they work very differently from regular initiators. They don't run Galeforce themselves, so you lose out on one action. Making mythics and bonuses play a much bigger role. Also pretty much every unit on the team has to be a one tap Galeforce unit, since most enemies end up at very low HP after the AoE triggered and will ideally only survive one hit. Lastly W!Bernie (or B!Lys) are key for this strategy, since the initiator generally won't get enough chip damage through Fury (or Scendscale) and will almost never take a hit. I myself find AoE beacons much easier to use during Light season because of Askr and Ash pretty much being the premier mythic Galeforce follow-ups. I generally don't tend to run my mythic dancers for those strategies, since they are a loss of an action, and instead switch to duo/harmonic dancers. A unit like F!Edelgard is also really great for AoE Galeforce strategies, since she gets three actions and can run WoM.
    A last thing I want to touch upon, which doesn't just concern AoE beacons. The HP buffs mythics provide can screw over the beacons. You always have to be aware of that, so you don't end up putting too many mythics on your teams and the beacon can't get into WoM range anymore. Also I hate healing tower seasons, like we have right now, since they can screw over strats relying on W!Bernie.

    • @DTMFEH
      @DTMFEH  Год назад +1

      Thank you so much for watching! Yeah AoE initiators are something that have definitely gotten more popular at late, though I'm personally am unfamiliar with them and haven't used that strat yet. That could definitely be something I talk about if I make another guide or followup in the future, but yeah the differences in initiation (along with my lack of experience) were why unfortunately they weren't directly talked about. And yeah HP buffs can definitely mess up with getting on WoM so making sure the HP math is good is important! And yeah Healing Tower is actually so annoying!

    I usually use selkie and velouria for galeforce on light, nah got added to the team after refine. If I can go in on turn 1 I'll usually back off and let safety fence go off, if canto control is present I'll use galeforce to get away.
    Hope NY Selkie gets a decent refine since she has slaying in her weapon, currently using the dumbest spd smoke 4 build I put on her for the memes (spd and res check damage reduction)

    Awesome video! Thank you. Seems like a lot of heavy lifting is done by the bolt tower, nearly everyone is capable of 1 damage. I am a new player to FEH & AR and have to rely purely on just initiating on full HP units. How would this strategy differ if you didn't have the bolt tower making quick work of half the enemy team?

    • @DTMFEH
      @DTMFEH  Год назад

      Thank you so much! The strategy and execution itself wouldn't differ too much. It's just that the units you are using need to have a lot better combat power than if you were to use the bolt tower. Making sure you get those kills is something to look out for. I will say that if you aren't using bolt tower (which very many people don't, instead opting for Safety Fence which I did use in some of the examples) two-tap galeforcing is a lot more reliable since it is less likely you would one-shot your opponent.

    How many mythics do we have to use ? bc in Light , my main is Askr and I use Peony but idk if I have to add a 3rd one ??

    • @DTMFEH
      @DTMFEH  Год назад +1

      So for non-chaos season, you need to use either 2 or 3 mythics to maximize score (assuming no mythic merges). Scoring works by essentially multiplying the light mythics on the team with the light-blessed units on the team of 5 (6th slot doesn't count for scoring purposes). If say you use 1 mythic and 4 blessed, that is 1X4 or 4. 2 mythics and 3 blessed is 2X3 or 6. 3 mythics and 2 blessed is 3X2 or 6. 4 mythics and 1 blessed is 4X1 or 4. So you can see the ideal is 2 or 3 mythics. (The products are later multiplied by 10 but doesn't really affect this explanation).
      Now the reason why many players run 3 mythics (besides the stat buffs) is that every merge on your mythic units also adds to your score, so having the 3rd mythic means an additional slot to get these "merge" points. But if you don't have merges on your mythics, or only have 2 mythics that are merged, then there isn't really a scoring increase between running 2 or 3 mythics.

    My S!Edelgard has too much hp to fall below threshold using Fury 4, even when she has her own Galeforce to take 3 hits off it? What should I do there?

    • @DTMFEH
      @DTMFEH  Год назад +1

      Hi! There are a couple solutions you can do. One is to just simply rely on combat damage to get into range, which obviously does require more calcs. You could also use W!Bernie or B!Lysithea to help you get into WoM range as well if you have those units. You can also do double Fury for S!Edelgard, but that obviously makes it so that in order to proc galeforce, you need to double the two enemies you take out before the third action. It has to be worked around but is doable.

    • @DefinitelyNotReal627
      @DefinitelyNotReal627 Год назад

      @@DTMFEH thanks for the advice. I do have a B!Lysithea, so I’ll see what I can do with her. I’ll also test out the fury seal, though I do wonder if having 80+ visible attack she won’t just crumple everything and not make it to galeforce. 1st world problem tho, so we take that.
