There’s nothing worse than saving hundreds of orbs for a unit that you want to merge only for their banner to come around and you get next to nothing. Happened to me multiple times.
Yeah had around 300 orbs saved for legendary Xander on the legendary Robin banner and i only got the one Xander from the spark :(
Had 600 orbs for new years ash. Only got 2 plus spark :(
And nothing feels better than pulling the unit you wanted off the freebie

@@judsonhester1407 I summoned on that banner: 1000+ orbs, four to five Xanders, not a single Robin (who was what I really wanted). I rushed to pass on his skills to literally anyone because his face alone is enough to send me into a blind rage now.
It’s insane that the worst summoning I had was trying to +10 Sonya on her very first weekly revival years back, it was approximately 500ish orbs without a single copy. Took me years to get all merges and now I randomly get her many times on 4* special rate almost a second +10, I feel humiliated

I'm glad she finally came home, PLUS, she's on the next HoF revival!
Same with my og Myrrh. She's currently +9 and I never summoned for her outside her og banner, lul.

I'll just drop this little tinfoil hat theory here, because it feels kinda fitting.
For a long time my theory has been that there exists a system like summoning seeds, which change... I don't know how or when they change, but they change somehow. I got this theory, because whenever I have a big summoning session, the same few 3-4 star characters tend to repeat themselves. I even tested this by taking a break between summoning sessions on the same banner to see if the 3-4 stars change and they do. But once again it's the same handful of 3-4 star characters, just different ones from the first session.
While this is much harder to test with 5 stars. I also noticed that the same few pity breakers tend to repeat themselves. One thing I also noticed is that whenever I summon multiple colors, which doesn't happen a lot but does happen from time to time, one color in particular sticks out with more five stars.
I also once stumbled onto a screenshot of a 2,500+ orb summoning session haul and just from the screenshot alone I was able to tell that the person who posted the screenshots did their summons in two sessions (yea, I asked them if my hunch was correct and they confirmed it). It would be really interesting, if someone who knows their way around statistics and summoning odds, were to collect the data (with the time of day and stuff like that) from different big summoning sessions and see if they find some pattern. With games like this there for sure is some sort of algorithm behind summoning.
Ya know, as crazy as this sounds, this could be a possible (even if accidental), system mechanic. Because indeed, I myself through these 6 years noticed how often I got the same character as a 3-4 star, two times in a row, or three times in the exact same circle, and went ahead to test out statistics to confirm: "I had higher chances of getting the specific five star I did not get".
But I just brushed it off as the usual human mind trick- as in, we tend to only have selective memory, so in this case I'd rather the times it would happen, rather than not remember the many times it did Not occur. (Fortune telling plays a lot around this human heuristic, but back to the topic).
Crazy idea, but I see it as plausible at the very least.

The arena change is really killing summoning for people who don't buy orbs. People like me who (care about arena) now have half the orbs as before the change. Videos like this are extremely helpful for pulling half as much (outside of legendary banners).

Just like I comment on one of Oblivion's videos recently- I do so enjoy these statistical analysis, it brings us back to the awesome content Eldervi would make. (Albeit he still does amazing art! You know what I mean, feh wise ahah).

When OG Sigurd came I dropped 1200 orbs on the banner and did not get a single copy. But I learned from that experience and nowadays I save and save and save more, only spend on must have units for me (Fafnir).

and i didn't even talk about the fact that they good great refine in only 2 years!
I can name 3 but I think the one that stings the most is my most recent session trying to finish Brave Dimitri. After the forma and spark I only needed 7 copies out of my 1016 orbs, and even with the new Focus Charge changes, he's sitting at +7 right now. It's not like the Focus Charges weren't working, I just wasn't getting ANY 5 stars, focus or non focus. I stopped with about 100 orbs left because I felt so defeated.

Thanks for the great videos! I tried so hard to get Ninja Camilla on the initial banner. Only got a copy from the spark. Spend 300+ obs. Thanks to the AHR banner I got 3 more copies!!! Now I’m sitting pretty with Ophelia at +2, N!Camilla at +3, Veronica at +4 and Fomo at +5
Absolutely amazing video! Can't believe we used to have 3 person New Hero Banners (that increase hurts to see). Yeah hopefully we do have Seidr (and Ophelia) get a rerun. Being able to spark over a period of time is such a huge blessing.

My worse summoning was across 2 banners for a single hero. My goal is Summer Edelgard, on her initial banner I used about 1.2k orbs and I ended the banner with a +1 Edelgard. I didnt get broken by other focuses either. The grand total of focus units I summoned was 2 not including spark and 1 of those was a 4* Claude. Every other hero was a breaker. I had 14 pity breakers.
I then went 300 orbs on DSH, I ended up with 3 Young Mia and only 1 S Edel who was spark. Basically I spent 1.5k orbs for a +2 Edelgard.
That entire year was hard on my account, I think I counted and I only summoned about 14 focus 5* across the entirety of last year including sparks. Yep, I got the same amount pity breakers on Summer Edels banner then I got focus units the entire year. My account basically stagnated that year and its still hurting this year.

Thanks for an eye opening video with all of the number crunching. I don't generally spark for characters. I dabble on banners until i've felt I wasted enough orbs and go on to other events. I've been hunting for Ullr and fallen Edelgard since they came out, investing in any banner in which they'd appear. I finally got them both in the last few months. I didn't +10 them, but it's nice to add them to my roster and i never went down to 0 orbs to get them either. Not the fastest way to acquire a character but still satisfied when you do.

Wasn't expecting this but we need as much percentage as we can to summon the units we need. Although, I know some people who have more than 15% in a banner but haven't summoned the desired unit for merges 😂😂😂 best and more luck for all of us

The first time I tried +10ing a new unit was B!Tiki last year. I believe it took me 1200 orbs to get 10 copies (including the free and the spark). I finally got that last one when I sparked her on the December legendary banner.
Side note, kinda frustrating I spent ~160 on Letizia on her debut banner, only to summon 3 of her on the brave banner lmao.

My worst session was last year when I dropped 300 orbs to get ONE COPY of Legendary Claude. Several Ascended Joshua's and CYL Byleth's later, (and like 3 L!Dimitri's due to not getting colorless) and I went home empty handed. I still don't have a Claude to this day and he's my favorite of the three lords. Great vid, I learned some new stuff today!

Great vid😁😁😁😁. Like the arena video, do you have plans to make a guide video for other game modes like Aether raids or summoner duels? I just don’t see the value in Aether raids because it doesn’t give you orbs, but other feh content creators make more vids about Aether raids and Aether raid builds. I believe that you would be able to convince me to invest into those game modes. Either way, keep up the good work😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Last year on the Plumeria hero fest I spent almost 2000 orbs for 2 copies of her.

@@FEH As much as it can from that experience, but I still think about how many more orbs I'd have and would have been able to budget elsewhere if that hadn't happened.

I'm so glad I saved up for last ahr. Got a cheap +10 veronica and camilla in 1200 orbs, and those are my first +10 premium 5*s ever. This one doesn't seem like it'll be mono colour again but I also have no orbs left anyway and theres no longer enough time to start saving given I used everything I had on the Christmas one.
I think spending a couple of minutes at the start of the video explaining the chart and its axis, and what we're aiming for would help so many people! Not everyone is good at maths :)
I spent about 600 orbs on the duo Chrom banner rerun and only got 2 Chroms with them and I also got 2 lucinas by only pulling on greens whenever there were no reds with one of the lucinas being the result of the focus charges so I’m guessing that was not very lucky

My worst session was Ninja Camilla. I dropped well over 1000 orbs going for her and got only 3 copies other than the spark. What's irritating was that I was skipping all the other colors and still somehow ended up with more copies of the Duo hero.
Managed to get 2 Camilla’s, 2 Ophelia’s, and a veronica in 80 orbs from the hero rises banner very pleased with the results. Glad i used my orbs for all that good fodder and/or units. 😂
This last brave banner was the first time I filled up the focus charges, and I did it before even the first spark. First pull was Diamant and I forget the other 2 but I was like “what the hell is going on right now!” Never thought I’d actually have to experience that without sinking 300+ orbs into a banner.
I still can't believe I had 0 orbs when Seidr come out and I managed to +9 her during her debut banner + December's Legendary banner. It was around 600 orbs at maximum (I bought some when I realized she was almost +10 and left her at +9 to finish in May)
My worst banner was on Velouria's debut banner, when I got to 6,25%. I didn't got any 5 stars whatsoever and the banner died there. The second worst was on Summer Freyja's banner. Got to 6% and then got 3 pitybreakers on the same circle to reset my pity, well...
Got to 5% on the current Easter banner going for Easter Bernie. Ashe pity broke me and physically broke me.
Slight summoning optimization: the order in which u summon units matters slightly for pity rate if you’re sniping multiple colors. If u summon a 5☆ first and then summon 4 4☆s, you’re now 1 4☆ away from getting pity rate. If u summon 4 4☆s and then a 5☆, you’re now 5 4☆s away from pity rate. This means if you’re summoning multiple colors, u should always summon the color that’s most likely to be a 5☆ first; on something like a legendary banner that’s usually green, but on something like the rearmed tana banner it’d be blue probably since there r 2 blue 5☆ focuses there
the rate is actually static through the circle that you're summoning on. those units are determined by the owl while the spinning happens.

@@FEH the rate is static in a summoning circle, but the count for how many 4☆s you’ve summoned since ur last 5☆ isn’t. After u summon a 5☆ in a circle, u can have 0-4 4☆s contributing towards a future increased pity rate depending on how many 4☆s u summoned after that 5☆ in the circle. It’s a misconception that the game resets ur 4☆ counter after the summoning circle ends, when it actually resets it when u summon a 5☆
Ofc the pity rate only resets after the u leave the summoning circle since all the units on a circle are predetermined
Okay, so two years ago I saved up over 100 orbs to get Delthea: Free Spirit when she appeared on a banner. All of them were spent and I walked away empty handed, I was so mad (Ended up getting her later on).
That WAS my worst summoning session...until I spent over 200 orbs on trying to summon Winter Black Knight just yesterday after not being able to summon him back in December of last year. I got FOUR Thief Sothes instead of Winter Black Knight. I ended up just giving up on summoning and spent 10 freaking dollars for the first time on this game for the feh pass so I could use the 40 summon 5 star focus summon to get him. I'm glad I got him, but I'm still a little upset that I had to go that far and spend literal money just to get him once.
My worst session on record was in May last year on the debut banner for legendary Myrrh. My appearance rate reached 11.50% then I got a circle with no blues so I pulled a green to get out and lost my pity to a legendary Edelgard. I went back to saving up orbs and then went for it again on the banner’s last day. By the time I’d run out of orbs my appearance rate was at 12.50%. I don’t know the exact number of orbs I used but it was definitely over 300. The legendary Edelgard that pity broke be was the only thing I got from the banner, I didn’t get any other focus units or 4* specials.
The only way the game made it up to me was that when legendary Myrrh returned three months later on legendary Deirdre’s debut banner I got Myrrh on the free pull.
I put 600+ Orbs on the Wyvern Ninja banner trying to get Duo Fjorm by sniping blue, there were so many times where not a single blue orb showed up, that I ended up with a +2 Ninja Camilla and nothing else to show for the amount of orbs I put into the banner.
For me it's not always about who I don't get, it's about who I do get more often than not. Those three stars are flat out horrible. And so are some of the 4 to 5star ones. Lucina, Brady, and Virizion are some of the classical units that I cannot stand.
I was going to type "is this about those who claim that sharing colors on AHR is bad?" before the 7:28 mark
but I got my answer there
The last one I wanted the double penalty one that is a flyer and dance or sweet dreams assit skill. That one

My worst summon session finally happened...
Last Rearmed Banner (Tana) I hit 4% before getting a Fallen Edelgard (which due to my irritation I foddered off)
the remaining summons went up to 3.75 % with no 4* Special Rate nor 5* outside sparking for Tana
Earlier the results from the AHR 2023 banner... I hit 5%
(which means 40 draws of no 5* stars and yes, in this summoning no 4* special rate either)
both of these killed any motivation I have on trying to
+10 Young Marth, Ninja Male Corrin and Pirate Vika
which I currently have at +6, +2 and +5 respectively
Oof. Sorry for the poor luck on AHR. I hope F!Edel at least went to a worthy cause
When Fomortiis first came out. I had over 200 orbs and I got 7 Arvals and I had almost quit

300+ orbs on Medeus mythic banner sniping colorless ONLY(red as the backup in case colorless didn't show up) and somehow ended up with 3 Flavias and nothing else... HOW?!! 😢
My worst summoning section is right now since I'm STILL trying to get Bunny Karla

I feel you. I’ve committed myself to getting every Robin alt and when his Legendary banner rolled around I sunk over 1000 orbs and came up empty handed. Bought the FEH pass for him and in honor of it I have named the team he’s in “Lost Pride.”
For the newest banner with Bow Tana, I only pulled Grey orbs got all the way to 38 pulls 2 different times and got Marianne, both times, so I only ended up getting the tana from the free 5* pull for pulling 40..... it was roughhh and both of my pull rates reset after the Marianne
One of my worst summons came at the end of last year during a Christmas/holiday focus was trying to get 5star Christmas hilda I got her but it was 4star I was like really game. Kinda funny now that I think bout it
Not sure about my entire FEH history since I came back to the game last July after two years, but I think my search for Halloween Hector takes the cake? I ended up spending ~400 orbs on his rerun and only got three copies at 109, 310 and ~400 orbs while sniping red (granted, the last 50 were very lucky with Fallen Lilith, two 4* specials and Hector) and got pitybroken four or five times along the way.
Are you planning on finishing Hector?
@@FEH I am! Unfortunately, I was unable to get him when he released and left the game a few months after that, so this was my first time actually getting him. He's now at +3 (one copy was from the refines banner). I doubt I'll finish him when he next reruns without some major saving, but we'll see how it goes. I could also get lucky with seasonal 4* specials.
oh btw i have a spreadsheet that i have hand made that can **automatically calculate your odds on any given stone** and its dynamic so you can input your current pity % and it’ll update! i can share it with you if you feel it can help in future “guide” videos

My best and worst summoning session was the A Hero Rises Engage Cup. It involves two parts.
Best: For context, Lucina is my favorite character and I had the Valentine's version at +4 thanks to coloring sniping on previous banners. So, with the AHR Engage banner having 8% (I think) and her upcoming rerun having 3%, I figured I might as well pull in the AHR since 8 > 3. Result: after using only 465 orbs, I got five copies of her and 9 other five-star characters. A total of 14 five-stars. Plus, I hadn't used my free summon yet, so I had a guaranteed 10+ Lucina. This is where I should have stopped. However...
Worst: I didn't have the blue Lyn or Corrin. I figured I might as well try to get them since I had a lot of orbs left. Result: I didn't get a single blue unit until 553 orbs with Lyn. I was color sniping the whole time. I then used my free summon on Corrin. The worst part is that I don't even use them both that much. The saving grace was the green pool. Whenever there was no blue orb I pulled for green when it was available, and for some reason every 4-5 green orbs I got had a five star unit. This is also how I got my final Lucina copy and was able to use my free summon on Corrin.
Moral of the story: Green was awesome. Screw blue.
Worst one was Plumeria debut. Dont remember the beads sunk (it was alot) but I got LMarth from +0 to +7 that day with 0 copies of plumeria... had to wait for next few months on her first rerun to finally get 1 copy of her lol.
So I'm A huge Silque fan. favorite unit of all time. Her first banner spent 400 orbs came out with 1 Silque and 5 Maribelle's. The second banner she was on i didnt have that much orbs after spending on someone else. but roughly 200. got her to plus 2. the last two banners she was on i only got 2 after 300 Orbs. so shes plus 4. Im hoarding Orbs rn for her Timerra, Jean and Legendary Micaiah.
I'm just saving my orbs for the time when Legendary Alm appears in _A_ remix banner. IN SEPTEMBER!
I remember LMByleth's debut banner, it took me over 300+ orbs to get a single copy. i was already low on orbs because i had just +10 Luthier (banners in same month killed me). i was so angry and was convinced i wouldnt be able to +10 him for years, but then he won the Hero fest (the all green banner) and with some amazing luck I only pulled him and not the other greens. now he's +10 and i think about my struggle a while back. not to mention, all the MByleth's have caused me trouble to summon 1 copy, then after that it was easy to +10 him and his alts...
but my ACTUAL worst banner, from what i can remember, was LEphraim's debut banner. he has avoided me on every single banner hes been on. worst part is that on my F2P account i got him on a different legendary banner within around 20 orbs..😔
My +10 duo Edelgard and Ascended Fjorm were two of the most painful experiences of my life.
L! Robin banner was by far my worst banner and I'll always hate how that session went. Though, can't complain with the general great summons that happen on other banners, especially the unexpected 3/ 4 *5 stars in one circle.

My worst summoning session was back in the day when OG Mia was a relevant unit, i saved arround 700 orbs and a 5 star Arthur broke my rate and just pulled 2 Mias
The ones that spring to mind for me are: 900 orbs for a single legendary tiki on her debut (99% chance of beating that)
Brave Ike just kept turning up at random to +7 him (I also foddered a few back in the day). When he got his refine I decided to get the last 3 copies on a revival banner, and that took 700 orbs (99.4% chance of beating that). Since then he's popped up another 5 times. 😂
I also spent 2300 orbs in November to get Veronica only to +8, Embla only to +4, and Nanna only to +2 (!!!). Thats about the 90th percentile for Vero, which isn’t horrendous, but its so poor for Nanna I can't even find the odds with the tool I use.
The luck goes both ways though. Just not necessarily when you want it. I have a random +6 A!Idunn for ~100 orbs from hero fest, which is so lucky I can't find good odds either! Sadly I have no hardy fighter fodder for her

I finally received a full orb circle of only 5* on a revival stance banner
My worst summon moments would have to be on the Thrasir remix banner and the Rearmed Tana banner, went to spark on both and the only 5 stars I got were the sparks haha. Yep, not even 4* specials. Took me an extra 80 orbs on Thrasirs to get 1 5*, a Julia. RIP, RIP.

I've done some reroll across my time playing FEH, the most expensive +10 was N!Corrin (over 1700), my luckiest B!Catria (less than 750 orbs but got some free ones with the tickets), i kept my two luckiest account with L!Byleth account and some other 5 stars and the bride catria account with both Fjorm and Ascendant Laegjarn. I don't plan to reroll anymore even if a top tier must have unit is released.
How long does it take to set up the reroll accounts?
@@FEH Not too long for me. About 5min if you can believe it. But once my barracks started filling up with merges and five stars, I stopped rerolling. Although, this was my back up account.
What about Double Special banners? What are the odds on those banners cuz im planning to +10 F!Muspell there(amd hopefully DuoAskr if he is rerun with him next month).

funny story, it's a bit of a wash. the fact that you have more focus units is bad, but the fact that you can't get off focus units is good. for most banners i looked at, it was slightly better, but the big advantage is if you have FEH Pass. having the additional spark has a HUGE effect on your spending.
@@FEH ah i see. Well i pray i can get lucky cuz i really dont want to wait till his actual banner rerun 😂 i do have fehpass so I'll definitely spark and he also has a code i can work towards so that's a guaranteed 2 merges atleast(so he'll be +4 at that point if things go south).

I had some crazy rates when i restarted my account, i restarted my account because i really liked legendary Corrin, i spent around 1500 orbs but i got +10 Corrin and Ninja Lyn, and now i want to +10 Sara, since i got her too in the same banner, my Sara is +5 rn
Most it’s taken me is 300 orbs for a focus hero… on the opposite side, in 550 orbs I’ve gotten 8 Rearmed Tana’s. A skill bank that I love

Worst summoning I had was Ninja Zelgius. I got him to +10 eventually but I remember needing to spend like 800 orbs before I got a 4th copy
My worst summon was Young Eirika; throughout all her reruns and over 600 orbs… I still don’t have her (man that focus charge would have been nice, could have used it like 3 times)
I spent 800 orbs trying to get 3 copies of Brave Lysithea to complete my +10 on the hero fest banner.

My worst summoning session was definitely the CYL5 Debut and the recent SS banner with rearmed Tana. I was in shambles like it's so bad LOL. I hope this mechanics you provided will change my luck

result : Just two bad randoms 4+1 stars, and I had to take at least Tana for her Arcana bow as a "free" 40 summons unit
2500 f2p orbs on BCamilla when she came out colorless snipe, i sadly got just 1 copy and stoped playing the game right after for a months then made a new acc and droped that one
As it happens my worst summoning was about the same as yours. Sank 400 orbs in and had a single fomortiis to my name at the end of it. Got broken by two Gotoh and 1 Reginn on a 0 colorless circle.
Fomo is cursed. That’s all there is to it.
The video is alright, but I feel many things were left unexplained. I know it was just supposed to be tips on summoning, not a complete summoning guide but I still felt some parts were pretty misleading (mostly the lack of explanation on how the rng chooses units works). Sy, while you were explaining why it was very good to pull on the AHR banner you made it sound like pulling for for the colorless was the most profitable thing when in reality it's the worst you can. Like sure if you like him go ahead, it is much better to pull for him now than on his debut banner, but having three units share color, while making slightly worse to get a specific unit, makes you on average get THREE TIMES more 5* than if you don't. While it's take you more to +10 Camilla, you'd probably walk out of there with like 7-8 Veros and Ophelias though, which imo would be super worth it (hence why everyone was crazed about making it an all red banner)

As far as the color share, what I found is that most folks don’t really want quantity when it comes to units. They’re generally summoning for something specific and everything else is considered a failure. It’s a different measure of success than what you’re talking about.
My worst shaft is probably summoning for rearmed robin in the legendary robin banner with none in 500 orbs.
Got my Fomortiis to +5, it's a slog and I had saved so many orbs.
I used all my 3000 orbs this AHR banner. It’s that good.
The last 8 sparks I've done, I've gotten no banner 5stars till spark for 7/8 of em

i just went all in with about 1200 orbs and maxed out ophelia veronica and ninja camilla
200 orbs on L!Lucina's debut banner - got zero 5*. And then I was out of orbs. L!Lucina came back on Hrid's debut banner, and I spent about 87 orbs and got her as well as four other new-for-me focus units. RNG taketh, and RNG giveth.
By the way, I was extremely pumped after the Hrid summoning session, so much so that I stapled those five units to the bench. Whoops! It took a couple of years, but having hundreds of units just rotting in my barracks led me to focus on building up a handful of units rather than collecting as many different units as my F2P orbs allow.
The lack of focus charge on Legendary/mythic banners makes them even worse value for big summon sessions which is really to bad because there are some really interesting units on them sometimes. The double special banners also feel bad to summon on past spark now because, no focus charge... even worse if you no FEH pass.
Worst session was Legendary Ceada debut banner. 14.5% before my first 5 star. I guess Gotoh was worse because it took over 700 orbs to get him but I was just using him as an excuse to keep trying for Fomortiis, Veronica and Reginn merges. This AHR banner is great for me.😂

@@FEH After 2 sparks and 351 orbs, 1 Priam, 1 Veronica, 2 Ophelia, 1 Fomo, 3 Camilla. I didn't really need Camilla (my +1 copy is fine) but Eitri needed the hold skill so she is 190 effective bst now. Maybe I'll fodder another to Duo Askr or something. I sparked Veronica (now +8) and Fomo (now +9) for 2 each of them. I'm tempted to spark Ophelia later because I sacrificed the times pulse 4 Nino I free summoned to her. 😎 Plus it would be nice to finish Fomo or Veronica. I only have 52 orbs left however....

I'm very sure the spark debuted sometime in book 4 (before i started playing) not on the ashen wolves banner. I still think its an amazing feature, just don't lock the seasonals, legendaries and mythics behind feh pass please.
My worst session had to have been the times I tried to get Duo Sothis and their merges. On their debut I spent around 500 orbs for a single copy (it was off focus season apparently). On their DSH run I spent around 1000 orbs and feh pass to get 5 copies plus the spark, leaving my Duo Sothis at +6. On their rerun last october, I spent close to 200 (or more) orbs and got a single copy. I caved and bought the two customization packs that gave them around new year. Hopefully I can get not screwed over on their next rerun for their last merge.
I hope this round of Sothii isn’t cursed. 😔

My worst banner is probably the forma banner of Spring Veronica for only get pity breaker maybe 6 or 8 time i only got one copy ( spark ) non i don't now if she get rerun and my luckiest i guess LNanna LVeronica Embla 1600 orbs I Wait so long for getting LNanna to +10 with good color sharing Vero +10 and hesitate to merge Embla i have finish my LMyrrh +10 Shez is maybe 7

My worst summoning session is when I spent 300 DOLLARS to try and get 1 SINGLE COPY of Legendary Claude and didn't get him at all besides the spark. The only 5* I got along the way was a -Atk Ashera.
Oh, Ashera. Maybe her refine will be amazing and make the session worth while?
This might be a hot take, but I do NOT miss the 3 person new hero banners at all. Those were hell if you were still waiting for your favorite character to get into the game, especially since they started to put alts on those banners as well so realistically we were getting only 2-3 new characters per update unless they did some weird stuff like how they dropped Kaze into the game. Yeah sure they're worse for sniping heroes on, but realistically we're gonna have every normal pool hero on 3 person skill banners at some point so if you wanna merge them up eventually you're MUCH better off waiting for those and grabbing whatever sparks you can along the way. Every normal pool hero has 2 sparks minimum (3 if you have FEH pass) with half of them getting an FB revival banner at some point too so its not like you aren't gonna have more chances at merges anyway. Hell I managed to get Fallen Gustav to +10 with ONLY summoning 3 sparks, outright skipping the legendary banner he was on, so its not even like the 4 person banners are even that bad rates wise. Either way there's a lot of my favorites who never would of gotten into the game period without the change back to 4 person banners, so truth be told I feel that's a worthwhile trade.
I miss having four new heroes on a banner which is not a Ascendent or Rearmed Hero. Just put one more hero as a 3 and 4 star.
I did 40 pulls on a for the coin. Just pulling any orb color because it was one the big banners. Zero 5 stars for all 40.
Worst summoning session: I decided awhile ago that whenever Lucia got into the game I would +10 her. My feh name was LuciaWhen for literal years. So when the banner came out this year...
I love Elincia, but would have been fine with just 1 copy. Instead I got 12. Love my +10 Elincia, as much as I love my +10 Lucia, but after going hundreds of orbs without seeing a single Lucia and having to sttongly rely on focus charges, it took me well over 2,000 orbs (probably more like 2,500? I spent about as much money on this banner as I spent in the previous 7 years of playing feh since launch.
I'm lucky that my most wanted unit is an absolute beast in terms of kit/stats, but no matter who comes out next, I am never intentionally +10ing a unit on their debut banner ever again.
Edit: I also got 5 copies of brave byleth on this banner that I didn't need or want, just from random pitybreaks. And 2 copies of Gregor, among many many other pitybreakers.

I don't know why I watch this as I only summon for my favourite units when they are introduced and never merge. Perhaps because the video is interesting :-) (I love the curves !).
Also my worst summoning session was for the introduction of L!Claude. I got 5 Mila and 1 L!Leif before finally getting Claude.

I was trying to get Spring Karla recently, I couldn't get her, I'm F2P player and expend like 120 orbs before giving up 💀
I love the skills and art of Heroes, but always hated the summoning. Now i aonly summon when i have the option to go for a spark, and just stop afterwards, not looking at the pity rate. Mostly going full circle, i did however did sometimes get an extra copy while sniping, but most times not so i tend to just not snipe. Sniping is for me for example best on legenday/mythical when i want like all heroes from the color i am going for, or something like AHR last year
