Canto Control is a worthwhile skill to duplicate as well, since its super meta. You can only snag one other tier 4 skill with it though, but its still worth it.
Also, make sure to daisy chain your last 1~2 merges of a re-armed hero into another re-armed hero so you can continue duplicating the same skills without needing to waste merges on a completed +10 re-armed hero

@@Theblaziken2000 basically. say you have a +10 Ophelia and a +4 Alcryst. if your Ophelia has desperation 4, Atk/Spd Oath 4, Flare Sparrow and.... i dunno something else. you can give these to Alcryst on Opheila's last merge - and allowing Alcryst to continue giving these skills.
(though however if you end up with extra Ophelias (say she's sharing with fallen chrom on a rearmed only banner or something. you simply could just merge an Ophelia into herself to refresh it that way as well) it just depends on a lot of factors).

@Theblaziken2000 yeah it's definitely whaletingz, but as a ginormous whale myself (every rearmed +10 other than alcryst cuz i went broke LMAO), it's 100% the go-to strategy if you're a whale/dolphin, or just so happen to be doing a lot of rearmed summons (If they're on HF, LF/MH banners, AHR again, or another banner like the Eitr+Alcryst banner). That's how I only pulled 1 Tea Lysithea and Summer Shez, but was able to duplicate Desp4&Lull4 onto like 10 units from Eitr->Ophelia->Alcryst.

Sadly, for a player like me, Rearmed Heroes are very rare, and is no worth giving skills to a Rearmed Hero sometimes and is better doing directly. Because I don't have so many héroes to improve like Whales.

I absolutely adore this new mechanic they introduced; it has breathed fresh life into the game for me. It's allowed me to diversify my unit roster beyond the basic skillset. I eagerly invest orbs in it whenever I can and make sparking these units a top priority. To me, they hold more value than even Legendary heroes. Currently, I have +15 Ophelia, +13 FRobin, +6 Alcryst, +5 Lif, +5 Chrom, +4 Ingrid, +5 Tana, and +3 Ganglot. I haven't used all the copies yet ofc, but I've set clear goals and plans for how I want to utilize them. The fact that every time I can get four Tier 4 skills off them makes them an incredible value!
This mechanic has also transformed my approach to Binding Worlds. Now, I focus on which unit can benefit the most from the Dragonflowers it provides, knowing that I can often secure premium skills for a unit simply by using one of my Rearmed Heroes. It's a fantastic addition to the game! 🔝

Loved your recommendations! I’ve given mine so many of the ones you listed. Also, having Tana give Ingrid skills in based -did that recently since I got a bunch of Ingrid’s from the Freyr banner. So. Much. Value!
Personally, I spoil the hell out of my rearmed units, though being a filthy whale helps 😅 I’ve got 4 at +10 (Ophelia, Ganglöt, Eitr, Robin), two at +7 (Tana and Ingrid), and Alfred +5.
If you think about it, if you inherit the arcane weapon to even ONE unit with an awkward mov type compared to the RA hero (like giving Luin to an inf unit like you mentioned) and you planned on foddering some unit that barely anyone else would want the fodder from, you can still inherit them to Ingrid since you won’t have a full 4 skills to give out (in this example). My Eitr has like 6 different A slots I gave her even though she won’t use any of them (and any one unit will only take 1 per Eitr inheritance), since I would’ve just give those fodder units to the beasts I foddered Eitr to anyway.
Rearmed units are the best type in the game lol

Phew, been so busy lately I haven't the time to watch YT videos. I gotta say though: Lif may be on the bottom of this tier list, but at least he's the sexiest bastard here. This is non-debatable. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
Anyway, Lif IS my max merged Re-armed unit, but that's because he's a favorite whom I love with all my heart. Ganglot is next, but that's due to Book 3 bias blah blah blah. And eventually Chrom, because he's the second sexiest bastard on the list.
But yeah, i didn't really get all that much value out of Lif as a repeatable fodder unit. I had some stuff lyin' around, but I was never really able to get a good chunk of 4 premium skills to pass on that other units wanted. So it's gonna hurt a little when I have another Handsome Rearmed Undead Sword Cav with okay fodder to inherit stuff to later... However, I do have Ganglot lined up with a lot of great skills, and she's gonna pass it out like candy (if she ever gets her re-runs gdi).
Anyhow, I still consider going for Re-armed units a whale-y thing to do, so I'll only do it for favorites. Even if it's a cool investment to do skill-sharing, it's still expensive. Absolutely worth it for just a +1 or +2 merge though.

I decided to become a Rearmed Grima, Ophelia, and Chrom investor... my dragons, armored units, red tombs, infantry, spear units and calvary are all now monsters. Just to give you an idea, I nearly have 20 Grimas and 11 Ophelias... and don't plan on stopping any time soon.
Now I do have several Tana and Ingrids too... but my luck wasn't as good getting a lot of them.
If you want to take this strategy to the next level though. Only invest in gen 5 and newer units, and if you have any favorites from gen 1-4 then pick them up in Binding worlds. That way your Rearmed units investment can go further as it's a more limited pool of characters.
If you like the idea of this, you definitely need to either plan ahead of which skills to give to your Rearmed units and then whom to pass that onto from there... or watch videos like this of other players telling you the best skills for each Rearmed unit, like Oblivion is doing here. I'm personally here for a second opinion from a very wise player.

i think for the one thing you had mentioned - i don't think it i wrong to "over invest" in your rearmed heroes" -and i'll even use your Alcryst vs: Alm and Dorothy example - and we will use Kiragi & Etie as well.
    Alm could want one set
Dorothy could use the Bow + the Flashing Sparrow.
but if you gave brave Gullveig to Alcryst - then you could build Kiragi different and then if you gave Remote Sparrow. then Eite is different from that 3 different sparrows - 3 different units +whatever skill you gave Alm, let's say hexblade).
it's sort of the same with the infantry skills. (I am actually really curious to see if we will get a melee infantry unit BECAUSE of Vital Astra/GLR etc etc) we also don't really have a main pool source of Finish 3 (or even Time Pulse 3 on a main pool demote) and going for the seasonal demotes can just be a detriment in itself and it really just depends on what kind of pity breakerss you have etc and so forth
i also had to laugh when you said you slap special spiral 4 on everynone. where i am in the position that i really don't need the skil on that many people so my ophelia has skills that can also go on my fliers and horses. it really is whatever floats your boat and need)

I'm heavily invested on R!Grima (too many fodder to count, but enough copies of her to +17, so I don't mind the overinvestment. My armor units deserve it), and middly invested on R!Ophelia (enough copies to +5, yet I feel I wasted some copies by not waiting for NCD4, specially now that L!Alear gives DR piercing at will). I also got 3 copies of R!Chrom while going for FByleth, so I gave him some universal fodder to spread around and might pull for copies of him in the future. I'm also considering investing in R!Ingrid, but I don't like how centralizing the guidance skills have become. I will wait for GK's refine (please be broken!) to decide.
As for my most wanted rearmed units, I used to want a competent melee infantry unit (sorry Ganglot, but you are not it), but now I'm not so sure. With BDimitri, FIke, Lucia, and SFjorm, my omni-tanking needs are complete, and besides GLR/VA/T4Dodge, there's little advantage on investing on a melee infantry over a ranged one like R!Ophelia. So now, my most wanted unit would be a speedy dragon, so I could duplicate Scowl (hopefully they have the spd version in the base kit), and other dragon exclusive skills (my Grima is too focused on armors), and give my R!Grima a weapon that makes use of her speed.

Part of me wants to wait for a new Melee infantry unit in place of Ganglot but the other part feels like it's time wasted hoping they'll whip one out when I could get the ball rolling with the fodder I have now. I had no interest in Ophelia I already have Lilina and Fallen Julia for all my red infantry needs but I caved to the need for SS4 and a good red tome and got her + merges anyway. But it wasn't till the CYL7 banner where I finally utilized the full potential of Rearmed where I collected Soren's skills and foddered off Special Spiral 4, Flare, MNFU, and Time's Pulse 4 all at once to my Guinivere, a massive whale-esque/character enthusiast level inheritance while maintaining access to all those skills. I felt DA POWA unlike any kind of SI previously; the true Rearmed experience.
I get the idea of looking for a rearmed unit to be an ongoing merge project and be a library but it's not the end of the world if both don't align. I guess that's a decision between you and your orbs on whether it's worth it or not.

If a unit came with a full kit of skills to work with for every one, let's say Fallen Byleth who's missing the special or rally+ at most, wouldn't getting copies of that unit save more orbs than this trick? Fallen Byleth, as an example, is on the regular summoning pool, you could randomly get a copy, and would use the 4 skills for DC solo, Close call 4, time's pulse 4 and DC if you don't have it as it isn't on grial units nor demotes.

6:29 I don’t agree with Ganglot’s placing here. Currently the only Melee infantry rearmed unit we have. Who else is going to let us duplicate Tier 4 dodges, Vital Astra, and Godlike Reflexes? Minimum of S tier imo. Also, she’s not a “terrible unit.” She’s decent, just not doing anything unique.

    • @TheTonGoofy

The answer is simple, the next release of spd based melee rearmed infantry units will just destroy her value.

This is why I'm not keen on a single tier list to assess them both by their strength as a unit and their weapon/movement typing. It should be two separate tier lists because of what you said; she's currently the only rearmed unit capable of duplicating those exclusive skills.

"You can save hundreds of orbs"
In theory ... that is true, but how the current state of the game is... I ... don't know, I think it is sth that can be questioned, especially after all luck ha to be taken into consideration (but probably that is what you meant with, your Orb count is not magically increasing with that method).
    1. You want to summon as many Rearmed Heroes as you can cause you need them to do this.
--> Of course summon for Rearmed Heroes costs Orbs, only one copy of them is always guaranteed (after spending at least 135-155 orbs, or even more if sniping).
--> If you are not just playing certain movement types, weapon types or archetypes, you have to do this multiple times, for multiple Rearmed Heroes.
    2. For doing this trick you need the fodder to inherit to the Rearmed Heroes and because you want tier 4 skills, you have to summon fo those units at least twice (if you want to stay with one copy of each hero in your barracks) for give it to ONE rearmed hero... way more if you want a skill on several (like Atk/Spd Unity for example).
--> With the pace of IS introducing new and even powerful new skills, you have to be ready nowadays to summon on like at least every second to third banner (if you are already selective) just for fodder purposes ... not to mention that new shiny skills could mean, you want them on units, you have already thrown certain Rearmed Heroes with this method.
    3. Rearmed Heroes are not in the normal pool.
--> You have to summon for them on specific - not always that easy to terminate when there comeback will happen - banners and because of there kinda unpredictable comebacks you have to have at least a ~150-300 orb amount in the back.
--> With that and also for having alway to be prepared to summon for new fodder... you always have to have orbs in your back, which probably means, if you favs are getting released or just units you are interested you don't have the orbs for either your favs or the Rearmed Heroes/Fodder you need for skill duplication.
    4. New Rearmed Heroes are more or less frequently getting released
--> probably more/new targets to go after
    5. Skill inheritance cap of 4 and availability of tier 3 prerequisites.
--> for many prerequisite tier 3 version of desirable tier 4 skill you have to spent orbs (or randomly getting them) cause many are still sitting on premium 5-stars or Seasonal special 4-stars (which are also just available on two banners in the first year and then just once per year after that, at least with a known time schedule I guess)
--> OR if you are lucky, they are released on grail units, which is still a very limited resource, which probably hinders you from merging any grail projects, cause you need them for the pre-fodder OR if you are unlucky the pre-fodder is sitting on a unit you like and already have merged before Rearmed Heroes were a thing or you still want to merge desperately
--> those pre-fodder skills have to be inherited to a greater amount than the premium one, cause you need those on the Rearmed Hero and on "any single unit" you want to throw the Rearmed Hero on... which for the skills that are needing orbs or grails can turn out really, really rough.
--> also the current skill cap hinders efficient inheritance in so god damn many cases or means you have to spent even more heroes in the whole process to get everything
    6. Skill inheritance restrictions
--> plays into the first point, but is it just me or are many newer released skills (or maybe this was even always a thing) very restricted on who can use them? If we are just taking the new CyL skills and the current Rearmed Heroes... you need Ophelia for Flare, you need either Chrom, Alfred, Líf, Tana, Ingrid or Eitr for Flared Sparrow, you need either Chrom, Alfred, Líf, Ingrid or Ganglöt for Gambit 4 and you need Robin or Eitr for Counter Roar 4... so to use/skill duplicate those 4 skills you already need at least three different Rearmed Heroes (Ophelia, Eitr and one out of Chrom, Alfred, Líf and Ingrid)...and those are just the four newest skills alone.
    7. The time aspect.
--> you need certain skills, certain rearmed heroes, certain prerequisites (tier 3 skills) and with all of that at best the perfect combination possible on one rearmed hero for a certain favourite you want to give that skill set (with probably the background, that a good amount of units would want that skill set hypothetically too).
--> until you get all of this, you probably have to wait months of longer to be able to do this... and if you have everything ready, you probably want other things, cause some of those stuff probably has been "outclassed" already.
And after all of that it remains the question, if you really save that many orbs with that or if your time, effort and anything at the end is really worth it, especially if you are spending money in FEH anyway or if in many cases it wouldn't be still less problematic to just inherit certain tier 4 skills completely from a unit you summoned for onto you fav hero without going the extra mile, cause at least you can use this skills right now on that unit, while otherwise you probably have to wait until you have the setup ready.
I mean the theory with skill duplication is FANTASTIC, but with all the time, resource, availability and inheritance restrictions that IS is using, it feels like it is an absolute pain in the butt to really use this quick and dirty or nearly as efficient as it could be.
Not to mention that in most of my points above I haven't meant the Arcane weapon, which is probably a thing that you want at least a certain amount of too, which kinda limits you even more.
Great video btw. still, the whole wall of text is nothing against you, cause it is clearly not your fault, that lays by IS haha. For a general guide I think this video was really awesome. Thank you for that. :)

Man you made me hardcore go and comment this shit 😂
While its not entirely a bad idea to fodder on rearmed units for the sake of seasonal tier 4 skills and some ascended units are good fodder too but units like Heiđr and literally all lull skills units and some finish skills units as a fodder like idk man if i could justify foddering any of these its like destroying my only chance of having all these units and for what for like 100 or 200 of orb requirement to get a rearmed hero to fodder that all on your other units when one is already used and still if the rearmed hero is not in the same color as the one unit you have originally collected your orbs for instead its another color than you still miss on a chance for fodder lol...I'm reluctant of this idea...especially if seasonal is Ymir duo for her exclusive skills and i get only one in entire hard spam summon and I'll actually not want to let go of it because i love the unit duo lol and like literally S!Shez you bro know full well my luck with that kind of Shez its literally 0.00 its if I ever get one with swift slice I'd die of surprise and shock
