The last match with ash was my team! I knew before hand the team had flaws I would not be able to fight against but I'm burnt out on running brave attack defenses so I tried this out. My losses were against the expected duo askr and I had a feeling altina would do well. First time a fehtuber has found me lol. Keep up the good work pm1 :)
What I really love the most about Altina's refine is her vantage sweep, makes taking on certain teams much easier for me. I also learned not to use her against any teams consisting of NY!Askr, since apparently he's out for blood, but dang you were so close to winning one ladder match if it weren't for that pesky trap, and then there's the Near Save/Far Save mess at the end.
It might be hard to believe, but my Altina has consistently taken care of a bunch of high investment New Year Askrs (she is +8 and uses brazen seal instead of solo so maybe that's why).
I sadly still see people complaining about Altina's refine being bad, like I get it has DC, but it's honestly not a bad refine since when you get lull effect, +1 special charge and some extra stats for vantage. This video is proof of that, so thank you for the showcase pm1.
Because people think more text = better refine. Look how many people were freaking out about Claude and yet no one is using him meanwhile Altina is making a huge comeback

I hope I didn't hurt you with the rematch, I was the clown with the double Elimine team (Monsta Cardo). It's funny though, I've tried to prepare my Astra Offense Team for the shenanigans you've set up on your defense, based on a video you did quite some time ago (where you went over how Flier School and other debuffs can be used to make Bride Catria FalseStart-proof). In the end it never mattered because most players don't bother (even in the higher tiers), so it's funny that when it finally mattered it was against the Sensei himself showing up :D Anyway thanks for the AR showcase, always looking forward to it!

I’m very shocked at the amount of work that altina is putting through, did not expect her to sweep teams so easily, I don’t expect her to work every season but pretty glad to see a gifted unit not have a bad refine

Haha okay that was fun to watch. I see the main problem you had was just trusting the Altina was enough. I always have two core units on each team I can rely on (either to nuke something or to tank) in case one gets checkmated like that. Seidr is nice with her CC and she can blow up Res squishes but it's useless against tanks. Reginn is, well, also useless against tanks and can only blow Res squishes. So as soon as you face something that can tank Altina and has enough Res well, not much to do unfortunately.
i did an altina solo week and got tier 39, but without winter bernadetta and relying on dragon wall tanking the first engagement, she's marginally worse. she still got the job done, but yeah. also, i'm surprised no muspell support, it's super good for vantage strats
Seeing your ladder matches is great cause now I know that if even galaxy brained PM1 can lose some of these matches due to unforseen circumstances then I shouldn't feel bad for losing.
One thing I learned from the last tempest trials is that even with high tier saves, dual Askr is a pain when any of his allies are near him. Take out or separate him from his allies and he's fairly weak. I mean he's still strong, but not the DR omni-tank/nuke he is with support.
I have a +4 Altina so I might try this too 16:45 yeah vantage is not that safe, I stopped doing it a bit. Menace skills usually shut it down hard -6 atk +6 def on the enemy screws it hard
