They've done their time skip versions for the Braves, but they're usually in a different fit or an endgame class outfit, not like they're character specific get ups. The only ones that are are the Legendary units. So idk if they plan to give us those eventually and they'll incorporate more of the relics and/or Crests into those alts play styles

Really, I'll just free summon Alfonse for fodder and wait till last week to decide who I'm gonna pull on CYL banner.
Yeah for F2P nowadays, we unfortunately have to not give into the meta and hold out at times. For me, I just summon a couple times of the year and strategically choose banners that give the most value (I.e CYL, AHR, Christmas). For 8% banners, I usually just do 1-2x a year to try and get value from it, but it definitely sucks without FEH pass especially with Emblem heroes being high value units.
If all units released were just the same cookie-cutter sets, it'd be stale real fast, remember when Savior released and the meta was super boring as all teams were basically the same for months? that was just BOOOORIIIIING, so having the meta change in many ways is always welcome...what is not so welcome is that they're definitely going way too fast, every new banner makes the previous meta look prehistoric by comparison, it's insane, I'd normally say they should slow down, but they've gone so fast that slowing down now might do more harm than good.
LF4 special jump activates when being attacked, so it won't really insta proc Aether. You will get hit first and proc Aether on retaliation, which is something that can already be done with breath skills.
Heidrun's A skill has already been powercrept in less than 3 weeks That's insane. And speaking of her it shocks me You have her that "low" on the support tier list
I wouldn't say better exactly it's strong but relies heavily on initiation for it's effects so if you don't do much of that then it may not be worth it just for dc.
I don't think so. Stronghold cleanse panic.Which is huge for her. She can work on Frontline because her bulky, but the Divine veins stuff can be more reliable with Lumera or B!Corrin.
I think you're underrating Alfonse here. Even without a survivability mode, it seems like he can take the same role as Eikthyrnir in AR. Deerbro's so good at nuking that people are running him on AR-D. Alfonse will probably do less damage, but will be MUCH much tankier. Just having him exist is going to put pressure on the AR-O team to deal with him somehow. The longer he stays alive, the worse it gets for the AR-O team.
Robin’s Ice Vein in SD is basically an End Turn mechanic without it actually being an End Turn mechanic, isn’t it? You’ve gotta do something about the ice at some point, and to do so, a foe has to go out and use up their turn to break it. That’s pretty nifty for stall-gating and getting a frontline hit-and-run tank lined up for taking potshots. Give her Canto Control/Curb and go the full support to stop Canto users in their tracks after breaking the ice, have a Save backup, run Earth Rendering, and just control the field.
But there’s warping effects and units that place their own veins. Your own robin could put their ice on your foe’s and destroy it like that. Definitely still powercreep, definitely still game changing, but it’s not as problematic as end turn.

With stuff like Stone and Flame terrain, units could just walk and perform their combat as normal, then lay their terrain down afterwards. With Divine Ice, you have to commit to breaking it, whether through attacks or laying down terrain passively, unless you have a melee-ranged warping unit to sneak through them, since ranged warpers have nowhere to go to hit her. So in effect, a turn was spent doing nothing productive towards combat.

Robin gives Neph protective terrain and gives her +25 Atk/Spd for it, Neph gives her cooldown jump to help manuever around Scowl games, Soaring Echo support, and some nice bonus damage to go along her 25 capped true damage.
I'm honestly thinking about +10ing Alfonse. The choice is very hard though, because he's such a great fodder as well. He's not my favorite but he's probably the most fleshed out OC character of the game. I don't think I will though xD We should also get a free combat manual of Alfonse next time they add new ones btw. So the price to +10 a brave hero should be even lower by a nice margin.
There are 2 reasons to +10: 1) Mythic scoring 2) favoritism These units are a lot of folks favorites, which is why I included the cost to +10. Otherwise, you are exactly right.
Felix has the highest reach in the game, 7 spaces. He seems like he'll be effective everywhere, AR-O/AR-D/SD/Arena etc. I think Gust is fine on him, AoEs took too much of a blow with Divine Nectar and BOL4
I like Felix's Galeforce style with the increased distance but I see his kit is missing NFU which kind of stings as a pseudo Godsword. 3 sources of True DR is nice though.
I think these units are cohesive. To me; that means they at least thought about them in the vacuum. Normally my complaints are that they don’t always consider the next level up.
When it comes to +10ing Brave units, keep in mind as well that they always rerun on the December Legendary banner, and that they get reruns on the January/February Remix banners as well. F2Ps can't get a guaranteed copy on the December banner, but the Remix banners can be sparked by everyone. So that makes the +10 even cheaper if you're willing to wait for it.

Am I crazy, or does Felix's mini Phantom Spd do nothing in his base kit? His weapon and prf skill has no dodge based dr, his A and C skill has no dodge based dr, his special isn't dodge based. None of his skills compare speed
Alfonse seems completely broken, dude has basically permanent great aether first hit DR% and he’s incredible for Ike, as fodder and as an ally. Spd is low key garbage rn. He’s a buff to anyone who wants to use Laguz friend Stats always meant a lot, just not on their own, and Laguz friend makes def and res broken.

Ike has NCD in his weapon which allows him to retaliate staff users. Alfonse don't have this for cavalry units. Unless a new emblem ring with NCD effect showcase.

I think it’s an apt comparison, but ultimately, they serve different purposes. Alfonse is going to be all about survivability. I really want to get him into testing, though.

I really need to wait for skill restrictions. Alfonse skills would be so nice for me as I have 3 Rearmed Lucinas to spare, and the manual. If all goes well, Pannete would want that build and I will have Emblem Ike with that A and C skill.
I don't think Alfonse is the "fodder" of the bunch, for two reasons: 1- Last year everyone said the same thing about Gullveig and have been proven wrong. Like, yeah, Flared Sparrow was good and is still good to this day, but Gullveig is an amazing unit and she's also kind of unique by being a flier with Galeforce incorporated in her prf; same thing goes for him, sure, his skills are appetizing, but he is very unique (probably the most unique unit in the game thanks to Great Talent) and supports the team in a way no other support does; 2- Honestly, who are you even giving his skills to? They are so good on him, but the moment you start thinking who would use his kit well enough, there aren't so many options and/or it's not worth it to kill him over other available options (of course, there are some units with a similar stat spread that would use these skills well, I'm just saying they are few and far between, and there are already good options for them like Laguz Friend for infantries, cavs can't tank that well overall, fliers have the rifts now and armors have clever fighter, why would you even kill Alfonse to give them Reopening when you get so much more by using him WITH those units?)
I’ve done a lot of digging on this. I think this one is about standard. I was a little surprised to see that brave units generally don’t break the game. Most of the time they indicate new concepts that IS is introducing.
I do think powercreep is gonna come in spades and tank 2 if not 3 of these units in the next few months like usual but the fact they all have unique use cases or utility means none of them i feel like are gonna end up like BCorrin or BTiki and immediately be blasted out by the next meta tankbuster.
We know she can get the penalties, as we saw it in the video. It's just that she ignores them in combat. So since unity and grand strategy apply the uno reverse before combat... I'd wager she can still do those strategies too.
They shouldn't do anything on her. Since she no longer will have penalties. Since they changed the interaction back when bond 4 was used on fallen ike.

I think you really overestimated Alfi as a support. He only gives out stats, max +10 Atk/Def/Res after at least 4 turns(If he was in combat 3 times). Meanwhile even Seteth gives +8 Stats, 7 TrueDR/DMG and Lull at any point. And while he's amazing as a f2p he's nowhere near Heiorun.
Male Grima stole Female Grima's Halloween outfit years ago and wore it better. Now Female Robin stole Male Robin's Brave outfit and wore it better. That girl holds a grudge and I love it.
Disagree with the ending, Alfonse is absolutely most likely to get a Zeshado video. The 6 Alfonse defense team where each one is getting +7 stats every turn video writes itself.
Seteth refine w/ Omni +8, 7 True DR and 7 True Damage: That aside, Seteth does this from the start until the end of battle while Alfonse requires 4 turns and 3 combats to get off all his stats.
On removing divine vein if you stack them like flared sparrow and deadly miasma you can negate them as applying two at the same time cancles it out on the spaces they share

Creation Pulse makes Kronya self-sufficient. Run SS4, Lethality, Creation Pulse, and make sure she hits something, and now she's ready to go

Yeah, unfortunately lethality doesn't kill anything anymore... the average new unit has at least 20 points of flat DR and dampens your atk by 30

I actually blows my mind that they still didn't do anything about the flower costs. ~4000 for a single unit is just way too much.

Nowadays +10 units is kinda useless - just get it and give it the stats with fruits you want to be happy (and not lucky with the + and - :)

Unless they’re a new player, NFU sacred seal exists. And the Infantry NFU C skill can be offered from supports

I was happy, thinking "great, this Alfonse's A skill would be useful for my W!Tharja...". Until I discovered it's only for close range units.
Alfonse seems completely broken, dude has basically permanent great aether first hit DR% and he’s incredible for Ike, as fodder and as an ally.

Ike has NCD in his weapon which allows him to retaliate staff users. Alfonse don't have this for cavalry units.
Unless a new emblem ring with NCD effect showcase.

I think it’s an apt comparison, but ultimately, they serve different purposes. Alfonse is going to be all about survivability. I really want to get him into testing, though.

I don't think Alfonse is the "fodder" of the bunch, for two reasons:
1- Last year everyone said the same thing about Gullveig and have been proven wrong. Like, yeah, Flared Sparrow was good and is still good to this day, but Gullveig is an amazing unit and she's also kind of unique by being a flier with Galeforce incorporated in her prf; same thing goes for him, sure, his skills are appetizing, but he is very unique (probably the most unique unit in the game thanks to Great Talent) and supports the team in a way no other support does;
2- Honestly, who are you even giving his skills to? They are so good on him, but the moment you start thinking who would use his kit well enough, there aren't so many options and/or it's not worth it to kill him over other available options (of course, there are some units with a similar stat spread that would use these skills well, I'm just saying they are few and far between, and there are already good options for them like Laguz Friend for infantries, cavs can't tank that well overall, fliers have the rifts now and armors have clever fighter, why would you even kill Alfonse to give them Reopening when you get so much more by using him WITH those units?)

I’ve done a lot of digging on this. I think this one is about standard. I was a little surprised to see that brave units generally don’t break the game. Most of the time they indicate new concepts that IS is introducing.
Did they really need to show Bernadetta bodying Ike like that in the CYL trailer?

I do think powercreep is gonna come in spades and tank 2 if not 3 of these units in the next few months like usual but the fact they all have unique use cases or utility means none of them i feel like are gonna end up like BCorrin or BTiki and immediately be blasted out by the next meta tankbuster.
also I know alfonse is best not following up but paired with SHrids Freeze he could be very funny.
Since Robin's weapon cancels her own stat penalties, does anyone know how that interacts with Unity skills or Grand Strategy from L!M!Robin?
We know she can get the penalties, as we saw it in the video. It's just that she ignores them in combat. So since unity and grand strategy apply the uno reverse before combat... I'd wager she can still do those strategies too.
They shouldn't do anything on her. Since she no longer will have penalties. Since they changed the interaction back when bond 4 was used on fallen ike.
i don't think the ike we see in the video is the best custom build version i think its basic ike emblem only which still very op and best custom build version emblem ike is still in the top but i got the message what they are trying since he's a very popular character by the i am so happy One of the 3 main character of the story Alfonse can now shine in battle i've been waiting for a Better Alfonse now we got him
I think you really overestimated Alfi as a support. He only gives out stats, max +10 Atk/Def/Res after at least 4 turns(If he was in combat 3 times). Meanwhile even Seteth gives +8 Stats, 7 TrueDR/DMG and Lull at any point. And while he's amazing as a f2p he's nowhere near Heiorun.

Male Grima stole Female Grima's Halloween outfit years ago and wore it better. Now Female Robin stole Male Robin's Brave outfit and wore it better. That girl holds a grudge and I love it.

That aside, Seteth does this from the start until the end of battle while Alfonse requires 4 turns and 3 combats to get off all his stats.
On removing divine vein if you stack them like flared sparrow and deadly miasma you can negate them as applying two at the same time cancles it out on the spaces they share
