      I'm glad you found my Turmeric Latte Recipe valuable and that you're adapting it to your specific needs.
      Here are some ways to increase the healthy fat content of your Oat Milk Latte:
      1. Add a teaspoon of Ghee, Coconut oil, or Olive oil.
      2. Blend in nuts or seeds like Almonds, Cashews or Chia Seeds.
      3. Use a combination of Oat Milk and another plant-based milk with a higher fat content, like Almond or Cashew milk.
      4. Choose an Oat Milk brand fortified with omega-3 fatty acids.
      By incorporating additional healthy fats, you can maximize the absorption of Curcumin and enjoy the full potential of your turmeric latte.

      1) While preparing Turmeric Tea, you can either pound or grate and add Ginger
      2) In Turmeric Latte / Golden Milk preparation, i have dried the Ginger and added it. Instead of Dry Ginger, you can use Fresh Ginger
      3) You can either make a paste of Ginger and Turmeric or grate and add it to your Curries or while sauteing Vegetables

    Good presentation. Had 1 Q: You strained out the raw turmeric from Turmeric Milk after cooking. Isn't it better to NOT strain & consume the raw turmeric alongwith the milk?

    • @BeyondBhoomi
      @BeyondBhoomi  9 месяцев назад

      Thank you. When you simmer the Milk, the flavor, active compounds and colour already get released into the Milk. So, you can strain it. But, if you like the taste of Raw Turmeric, you can also have it as such

    Thank you for sharing! I want to try this recipe and have two questions. 1. Do you store the ghee with ginger for 15 days in a fridge or on the counter? 2. Why do you need to strain the turmeric? Can I keep it in the ghee and eat it together? Thank you.

    • @BeyondBhoomi
      @BeyondBhoomi  Год назад

      Thank you !
      1) You need not store the Ghee with Turmeric in the Refrigerator. You can keep it outside
      2) You can also use the Ghee without straining. In that case, it is better to either grind or grate the Turmeric and add. Not everyone will like the taste of raw Turmeric, as it is slightly on the bitter side. If you are grinding it, then grind without adding water as @) it will splatter when added to the Ghee and b) It will get spoilt easily because of the moisture

    Thank you for this informative video! I have 2 questions: 1) For the first recipe, you shared with a commenter that the infusion can be made with olive oil instead with using ghee. However can I make my infusion with coconut oil? 2) For the turmeric golden milk latte, can I use almond instead of whole milk? Also is there a good substitute for palm candy?

    • @BeyondBhoomi
      @BeyondBhoomi  8 месяцев назад +1

      1) Yes, you can make the infusion with coconut oil. Choose virgin coconut oil for the best flavour and nutritional benefits.
      2) Absolutely! Almond milk is a a good choice for a plant-based option to prepare the turmeric golden milk latte.
      3) You can use Raw Honey or Coconut Sugar as a substitute for Palm Candy. If you are using Honey, it is best to wait until the latte has cooled slightly before adding honey. This will preserve its flavour and potential health benefits.

    Will one get the same benefits of turmeric if eaten in its whole form raw and with olive oil and black or white pepper?? I have been chewing it and ingesting it dipped in the olive oil?

    • @BeyondBhoomi
      @BeyondBhoomi  Год назад +4

      Hi John, the absorption of Curcumin in Turmeric increases when combined with any healthy fat. Olive oil is rich in mono unsaturated fats ( Heart healthy ) and works very well in this case. The concentration of Piperine is slightly lesser in White Pepper as compared to Black Pepper, so if are using White Pepper, increase the quantity a little bit. Having it dipped in Olive oil is a great idea. My suggestion would be to grate or slice the Turmeric, saute it in 1 or 2 Tbsp Olive oil ( depending on the quantity ) on low to medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes, as short cooking times increase the absorption, allow to cool and then immerse it in Extra virgin olive oil. Add some Pepper corns to this. You can make this for 1 week or up to 1 month depending on your requirement

      Substitute 1 tbsp / 1 tsp of raw Turmeric with 1/3rd tbsp / 1/3rd tsp of Turmeric Powder. That is, for three parts of fresh / raw Turmeric, you will need to use one part of Turmeric Powder. Please ensure that the Turmeric Powder is pure

    • @BeyondBhoomi
      @BeyondBhoomi  11 месяцев назад +1

      Turmeric powder is also rich in antioxidants, has medicinal value and is anti inflammatory in nature. As per studies, fresh Turmeric root is richer in Curcumin and has natural essential oils and so is better absorbed and processed by the body. In the powdered form some amount of Curcumin and the oils are lost during processing.
      The powder is definitely useful and comes in handy during the times when fresh Turmeric root is not available.
      Prepare in any of the above mentioned ways, to enhance the absorption of Curcumin.
