I agree with this. Bowser finally got murked by Mario and somehow came back to life in the later games. He died twice, in fact, in NSMB DS when he got resurrected by Jr for the final battle.
Doesn't make sense honestly since Bowser keeps appearing in later games (unless kamek revived him), imo each games order happens in the order it releases unless Nintendo specifically states it happened before a game(s), not like the video's timeline who just throws games randomly into the timeline

Ever wonder why King Boo stated he wanted revenge on the Mario Bros for what they did to him in the past in Luigi's Mansion? Well, Super Mario 64 DS is the reason, he appeared as a boss in that game. Despite being a remake it happened at the same time as the original Mario 64, just with more additional characters and bosses.

To answer Patt's question; the plot of Yoshi's Island DS is that Bowser and Kamek went back in time to the past and kidnapped babies all around the world *(yes global scale kidnapping, I'm not joking)* in order to obtained the power from the Star Childs for universal conquest. Star Children can only be revealed within babies and there's 7 of them. The Yoshi Clan got involved when Kamek failed to kidnap Baby Mario, but he got away with Baby Luigi. Because the 2 babies bros are twins they communicated with each other, like a telepathic GPS in order to locate Bowser's castle.
The 7 Star Children are Mario, Luigi, Peach, Wario, DK, Bowser, and Yoshi. Basically this explains why and how the cast have super powers and abilities.
Nintendo never brought this up ever again, which is a real shame because I really liked that concept.

just a quick word, Mario USA is no "bootleg" as every rerelease of DDP in japan has been the mario themed equivalent, plus it started development as a mario game with vertical scrolling in its early development
There’s actually one major issue about the sports games taking place after Mario + Rabbids. The sports games are mentioned and referenced in Mario + Rabbids!
The Mario sport and Party games are just annual activities they do for fun and competition, so that can literally be place anywhere in the timeline, unless there's important information that's canonically tied to another Mario game.
Mario + Rabbids isn't canon anyways. Unless you think Mario's world is compromised of merch, because that's literally how it was made in + Rabbids.

Actually Peach knows how to fend for herself it's just that Nintendo doesn't have many things in mind to do with Peach and games with her would be easy and slow like what happened when they published Super Princess Peach. Peach in that game has 4 emotions that you can flip flop anger (like the Starman in regular side-scroll platformers Mario games with a super stomp earthquake), joy (makes her float), sadness (makes her cry a lot of water) and calm (she heals).
You should look at Game Theory’s Mario Timeline instead. They proved that Jumpman Mario and Super Mario are different characters with the DK games - Cranky Kong being the original Donkey Kong from those games and the tie wearing DK being DK III means there’s a good 40-50 years between those games, leading to the conclusion that Jumpman Mario is Super Mario’s father (with the likely mother being Pauline)
That's pretty old, and I'm pretty sure since then Nintendo confirmed Mario and Jumpman are the same character.

14:11 he has killed or attempted to kill Bowser multiple times. He either survives insanely dangerous stuff or is revived later. He won't stay down. He's dropped Bowser into lava multiple times, and Bowser still comes back later.
What most people don't realize Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, may have separated Paper Mario as their own universe, but the main takeaway is every character has a paper counterpart and visversa, but their personalities might altered; Paper Luigi is brave and wants to be heroic, while 3D Luigi is a coward, but inspires to be like his big brother. This also implies there's a 3D Goombella along with other Paper Mario casts.
The only importance that will come from the spin-off games are the characters themselves, like the Star Spirits originally from Paper Mario are in Mario Party 5, and Goomboss appears twice; Super Mario 64 DS and Mario Kart DS as a boss in both games. This clearly reinforces how Paper Mario is important to the Mario lore and it's timeline.
The Leaderboard were not the first to create a Mario timeline, their video came out in 2019, The Game Theorist made a Mario timeline back in 2015.

Mario was never in the real world. His blue collar work was done in New Donk City. Pauline's always been a resident of New Donk City. You can tell because she towers over Mario even in the 1981 Donkey Kong game where he's called Jumpman.
In the Manuel for smb yes it says that the toads were turned into briks but in the next page it says they were turned into question mark bricks and reward Mario with power ups

In the game Mario is one of the 7 star children. Where prophecized 7 children will be born atm with some sort of special ability(isnt given much info) assumably important to defining the kingdom's future. Kamek and Present-day Bowser who randomly time traveled to find the children to fix his future is kidnapping all local newborns during this time to identify who is the legendary star children. This timeline was alright even thought it gets a lot of things wrong or how 60% of the games in the timeline are non canon or just spinoff games in a different timeline (like Smash Bros and the RPG games for example.) Mario 2 is kind of confusing because in game it says that the whole adventure was just a dream but in the manual is says that the adventure did happen and the Subcons (the people that you recuse from Wart at the end of the game and not the place Subcon) where just calling for Mario's help in his dream and leading him to Subcon.

For the Subcon thing, I think the implication is that in the Mario universe, the dream world is just as real as the waking one; like, an alternate dimension that one can access in their sleep.

Not really, as far as I know. If they did it'll just be a list of 2D and 3D games in chronological order of release dates. Nintendo never really cared for this type of subject.

Either this or after switching jobs so much mario went into depression and he made up the mushroom kingdom in his mind from his imagination when he was a baby and goes there to his childlike innocence when he takes them shrooms.
By extension he imagines his pets he was abusive towards as his villains of the world being his pet ape donkey kong and his pet turtle (being bowser but maybe he had 2 turtles and the other was yoshi) and maybe wart as a pet frog he only had for a little while.
That's why he imagines a vibrant world with beautiful princesses against his stone cold military factory plumbing life.

I do believe the games are all connected and have a consistent lore (including the donkey kong and wario games) but this timeline kind of sucks. I get that its a joke but the fact thats all of the major mario lore videos are either trash, or a joke, is a bit disapointing

I feel that including all the spin offs and party games makes the timeline a bit too messy. Some work well but others not to much
I feel like the Mario RPGs, Luigi’s Mansion games, Captain Toad, Super Princess Peach, Wario Land, Donkey Kong Country games, are spin-off series that work well in the Mario timeline……… the other spinoff series like Mario Kart, Party, Golf, Tennis, Baseball, and Strikers………… not so much as I just consider the kart racing, party, and sports games non-canon and not actually apart of the overall Mario timeline.

Fun fact: Mario 2 in America was a re-skin of doki doki panic. The real sequel of the original mario bros. was released in Japan only for many years because "It would be too hard for Americans" (the actual reason you can fact check me) and so a few years later, America releases Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels which is a dulled down version of the original sequel to the first Mario Bros. The re-skin was also what the show "Super Mario Brothers Super Show" was based on at first before later being based around Mario Bros. 3.

Speculation shows it might be the events of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time; the Shroob invasion in the past may had caused the Mario Bros to end up in the real world when they were toddlers.
@@Treesarewoke retconned does change things moving forward, how the story is written in the future and how it treats the past.
But it doesn't actually change the past.
It's a similar situation to Disney's bullshit treatment of the EU. It's jot part of their story, but it's still a story that was told and many people take that as their canon instead of the company's direction.
The narrative for events as they happened that makes the most sense (to me at least) is Jumpman from our world finds the Mushroom Kingdom World (not necessarily the Mushroom Kingdom itself, but he does make a home in the world) and goes on to sire Mario and Luigi.

5:15 @Patterz Have you never seen the Mario cartoons? They are based on games such as the Super Mario Bros trilogy and Super Mario World, and they connect Mario's world with the real world, more or less.
If the Yoshi's Island games didn't exist than the Mario Cartoons would be 100% canon without question. As of now the Mario Cartoons are their own separate universe.
The only games I know that are connected to the cartoons is Mario's Time Machine and Mario is Missing, since they referenced Mario being born in Brooklyn New York, but the Yoshi's Island games stated Mario and Luigi are born in the Mushroom Kingdom while being delivered by a Stork.

Only 5 minutes into the reaction and holy frick, this timeline is already awful. Whoever made it did _NOT_ do their research at all.
Using super loose connections and headcanons to string things together.
For example, Mario the Juggler has to take place in the mushroom kingdom. The plot of the game involves a few of Bowser's minions coming to join in the fun, including that Hammer Bro you literally see on the system.
EDIT: It keeps getting worse and worse. Yoshi is in Super Mario 64, whom Mario met in Super Mario World. There's no way this Yoshi is the one who saved him in Yoshi's Island, and there's no way Mario would even remember that at all. This is very very poorly made.
Not to mention Super Mario World is a DIRECT SEQUEL to Super Mario Bros 3, which is straight up said within the game's manual. I cannot believe that this was made, oh my goodness.
EDIT AGAIN: Final edit. They even got SMB2's story wrong, holy frick. The literal title screen explains that it's not just a dream.
If they're gonna treat this Mario timeline seriously, I'm gonna criticize it seriously. And this is a horrendous timeline.
Although they did just get into Mario's Early Years so... yeah maybe I'm taking this silly nonsensical timeline way too seriously.
But gosh dang it man, do some base level research. Making insane connections with obscure knowledge is way funnier than throwing things together with no purpose like they did here.
