Bow was probably traumatized more by Mario being alive than him being dead, seeing as she's a ghost and all.
@Chudpope are the ghosts in mario dead tho? Like in many of the games boos can take damage and die just like anyone else and don't just come into existence whenever you kill an enemy so are they dead or just anther living species?

The portrait ghosts have numerous refrences to being alive, and King Boo even remarks that he is "sick to double death" of Luigi, and refrences the ghost dimension.
So whether or not boos are the spirits of once living people, they are definitely spirits and could be considered undead.
At the very least they are not on the same level of existence as most other beings.

I tried to watch your Earthbound video while working but had to keep my laugher to a minimum hence working, and I just ended up in silent tears. I had to finish the video later at a home. Also notes. Tubba's heart can actually be beaten in 9 turns if you just pack nothing but Thunder Bolts with maybe a Hot Shroom to recover like 15 HP from cooking a Volt Shroom so you have some health for Tubba Blubba given your max HP. 45 actually is enough so long as you're good at guards.
Volt Shrooms can also keep the Shy Squad from hitting you more than once per turn making guarding them much more lenient.
Huff N. Puff if you feel guilty about using Life Shrooms actually has very simple AI where he essentially does the same moves every time on the same turn. A user called Floogal has it documented on GameFAQs and it makes planning around him super easy. Not knowing that though makes it a nightmare to fight him. You're also arguably better off using POW Blocks over Star Storm if you think you can survive without Life Shrooms as less Tuff Puffs makes mashing to break out their squeeze easier.
Fighting Jr. Troopa nearby Shiver Mountain, Misstar's Smooch actually would work pretty well alongside Mario's hammer if your guards are on point. You can barely beat him itemless.
And lastly, I believe the final battle with Bowser only will think to heal for 30 HP if the percent difference is 25%, but I'm not certain.

While watching this and cackling at your amazing narration, it suddenly strikes me that this challenge has, in essence, turned this classic into the fourth game of the Sticker Star trilogy. I find that equal parts distressing and hilarious.

Jr. Troopa has the potential to become one of the strongest Koopas. He has wings and is a Magikoopa. There's no other Koopa like that.
I think out of all the bits in this video, my favourite joke was when his emphasis on how big the Goomba King is started FATASS GOOMBA interrupting his explanation.
I dont know why but the deranged Kooperrrr jokes in this video are great. Same with interrupting yourself to mention how big the goomba is repeatedly.

I did this challenge in Thousand Year Door and it was BRUTAL. To make matters worse, I played the way Miyamoto and Tanabe always intended: as much as sticker star as possible and can only attack the enemies in order from front to back. Can't wait to do it again for the remake!

Coming back to this on a streak of going back through your catalog after the DK play/walkthrough, I love all the work you put into these and appreciate the content. You've always done a great job, even in content regarding things (like this) that otherwise wouldn't hold my interest- even if Paper Mario's something I never got that into as a kid, I can still appreciate your passion for what you do. This kind of thing isn't what I expected from the channel during the "Find the Best" Diablo/TF2 era, but I hope you branch out into whatever you think you'd have fun making. Since the start, your humor, personality, and the quality of your content/editing have been there.

I wanted to try and avoid wacka bumps actually now that you mention it! I felt like they would destroy early game threats like Tubba Blubba. Tbh the life shroom strat is mega cheese, part of me wants to go back and try everything without them lol

Run is invalid because you used partners anyway. Not picking up the partners at all is impossible because of the many crashes that you run into. However it is entirely possible to beat the entire game without using any of them. Quite a bit harder than this but still possible. My first playthrough of Paper Mario I didn't use the shop or badges.
Ironically enough this exact idea is already an official game, well three of them.

Liked. This seems so painful and i LOVE IT. I was waiting for huff n puff the hardest fight. Major suckage. Also huff n puff can only spawn ten minions max at a time. If you hit him for 12 he'll just spawn 10 max. Huff n puff actually has a secret attack that's conditional on all ten being spawned which most people never witness. He'll just float up into the sky and slam down for 15!? damage!? I learned that on a playthrough in 2020 i hadn't a clue. Darn that boss is tricky.
It's actually not dependent on how many puffs he has, its more of a desperation attack he only uses if he's under 5 hp or something around there.

Quick answer, yes. Because I did it as a kid because I was too dumb to understand how useful badges were. Technically, I had 1 equipped, and it was just Peekaboo, so it really didn't help at all but I had tons of HP and FP and I think they only time I got incredibly stuck was during the Huff N Puff boss fight which I eventually beat after that the rest wasn't too bad.

I know people like the later entries but the Original will always be my favorite for how simple it was and it didn't take the "paper" concept in a literal sense lol as here it's just more an aesthetic with a hint of paper related humor.
For the Master, I remember the zap status condition to be quite useful because it basically neuters all his combo moves, maybe you could've used zap mushrooms for that fight?

For Chapter 3 Boss u could've used Hot Shroom, which is available as soon as the start of chapter 2.
It restores 15❤ and 5🏵 and It's made with just cooking a volt shroom.
This makes it the most op/cost effective healing Item in early and pretty much half of the game.
