The comedy between "Hell Isn't So Bad" and "Oh God It's That Bad! It's That Bad" made me laugh so hard. The distorted music also sold the descent into madness.
If I remember correctly, there’s an ever worse glitch that can be done than that doll bullshit, badge duplication, which comes with the added bonus of being completely useless as badges work differently in pm64 meaning while yes you can duplicate the badge, when you go to wear it, the original and the copy are worn at the same time with no extra cost or benefit
If I remember right, it's basically just retrigger prolog with more work on either side, mostly on the later end with the near endless letter chain. Been a while since I've watched the explanation video. So I could be wrong but that's what I remember.
Actually it’s not entirely useless, you can make infinite mistakes or sell the duplicated badges for money (after roughly 14 hours of set up (it’s not worth it but also not useless))
Games never really do change all that much do they... Like yeah the engines and equipment get upgraded all the time but devs are still just expected to cram as much content as they can into a final product. I guess I've been told as a dev myself that there's only so much we can do, but scope is where a lot of these modern games are failing. Not work ethic or passion really, just gargantuan expectations set by a bunch of out-of-touch people sitting in a board room who tell you what the design is gonna be and you have to fit that in the time you have or your job is at risk. Not every game IMO has to be an open world, 3D, fully animated HD in-depth narrative-heavy action RPG. Like pick a lane and it becomes a lot more polished. I guess some entitled people who expect that bar of samey versatility will be pissed at you, but they can stay mad when the game is well-liked despite the little details they harp on. Like I wish people were more focused on genre pieces and not a variety pack. But that's just my thoughts on why games are coming out unpolished, with some that are still good despite that. Feels like the best modern games focus on doing a few things well, not everything.
Funnily enough, you can beat Sticker Star in reverse boss order without glitches, but that game is still broken in other ways so it doesn’t even have that much of a leg up on the first two games anyways.
@@ThaCataBoi Abuse his girlfriend and not even try defend himself. Well, he did, but if a single card was more valid evidence than witnesses who know both people involved and their relationship very well then... I don't even know.
I've been getting into speedrun history videos recently and my favorite thing about the scene is how many parallels to old shonen battle anime there are. You have rivalries, you have drama, you have mentor figures that support newcomers until they finally overcome them, you have outlandish names for glitches that are akin to special attack names, which you also have to do to such precision that there's assertions of "it took me 3 months to master this". And then you have a climax that isn't even the end, in which you smash a bad guy by flying 1000 steps into the air and crashing down on him. Real Goku vs Frieza energy right there.
I like that some clips are so wild you can be thought of like a god. Reverse BiTMagic in Skyward Sword, for example, is literally a thing where you can do stuff in your world, then really start your day and most of your issues are cleared.
Press A! discovers that just because a game is broken doesn't mean it's easy to break. Knowing of these glitches already made this hilarious, you know the torment that is coming
This reminds me of a challenge me and a couple friends did back in elementary school. Since you can get anywhere in the map with tweaking in diamond & pearl, i thought one day "hey, what if we all had a race and we have to beat the gyms backwards" it was like 2 days after the legend of our group taught us all how to tweak. The rules were simple, you couldn't do more than 1 gym a day, because the next day at recess you had to show the badge (to prevent people doing it more like 6 then 7 then 8. Instead of 8 then 7 then 6) and whoever finished that then beat the champion got to erase everyone else's save file. I was dead last because i didn't know how to navigate in tweak land, all i accomplished that whole school year was learning that there is a girl in a cave somewhere that double battles with a Kadabra (later found out it was in the cave on cycling route)
I know that this doesn't qualify for the speedrun leaderboards due to the usage of a practice ROM (and the likelihood that you didn't do this all in one go) but seeing someone who isn't half machine perform most of the tricks required for this without assistance and explain how difficult they are is honestly amazing. It's one thing to watch someone at GDQ do this sort of stuff and then casually say "That's actually really difficult" after 2 attempts, but watching someone who's probably about as good at performing these tricks as I am do it really emphasizes exactly how difficult these can be. By the way, there are actually 9 people who are on the leaderboard for Reverse All Cards, but one of those clears is on Wii VC and one is on Wii U VC.
Fun fact: you can do a much easier version of early whale by “bombette pushing” the toad next to the water on the left and clipping out of bounds that way. Essentially, when bombette falls from the sky you can move npcs by pushing bombette into them.

12:50 face away from where you want to hammer, spin, hold towards where you want to hit, and hammer. The game does the collision checks for where the hammer will hit something, telling it when to stop Mario's swing. But then you face the other direction. So it checks, finds nothing, which means a full swing, and then you turn around and do that full swing, right through the wall. (You can do it the other way, and have his hammer collide with thin air)
My major question is… how did people figure all these glitches out? TAS? Time? These frame perfect glitches and such are absolutely insane. Kudos to you for this video.
Most people play games to experience the game and story and then there's people like me who play the game to try and break it anyway possible. Personally i remember finding out the perfect repair/unlimited caps from shops glitch in Fallout 3 a few days after it's release. One thing to remember is there can be endless glitches in games and not all of them found not everyone reports their findings, some just treat it like an easter egg, other get well known for doing it, nothing wrong with either option.
@@Darkness5423One of my favorite moments is when someone casually performs a glitch they assume everyone knows about, and speedrunners just go "YOU KNEW THIS THE WHOLE TIME!?"
Well too bad, he was an abuser, and got what he deserved. 13:00 This trick is actually pretty easy (it's the only one I know how to do properly and consistently lol) You position yourself next to the place where the key is, face the yellow house (look to the right) and press Z to spin in place. While Mario is spinning, hold left and spam the hammer button to cancel the spin and the hammer should clip through the wall.

So it checks, finds nothing, which means a full swing, and then you turn around and do that full swing, right through the wall. (You can do it the other way, and have his hammer collide with thin air)
I've been watching your stuff for eons
How was I not subscribed before today? Well, I fixed it.
I still have fond memories of the first time I booted up Mario 64 and heard his first words "It's-a me, Mehrio!"
My major question is… how did people figure all these glitches out? TAS? Time? These frame perfect glitches and such are absolutely insane. Kudos to you for this video.
From my extensive viewing of Stryder7x videos, it seems like mostly glitch hunters
Awesome video
I miss Stryder7x
Well too bad, he was an abuser, and got what he deserved. (Side note: I would share the specifics, but since the comments I posted describing what happened got deleted for some reason, I would search for the post What Happened to Stryder7x, made in 28 Nov 2022, which has links showing his response, and then his ex's response to his flimsy defence).
Me too, dude. At least we have Badly Translated Thousand Year Door forever. Long live Big Ass.
Congrats on hitting 30k
*gets to the 2 minute mark* OH NO!! HE IS PLAYING IN ENGLISH!!!
YOU KNEW WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN?! WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME?!
I like how the goal of the hardest trick is to get inside of the butt of a wail and leave through its mouth.
Love watching Press A play Paper Meryl
30k a month ago, now 33.2k! Not bad dude! Got my sub for sure. I can tell lots of suffering went into this!
Match made in Heaven I love your videos and love PM challenges. 💜💜
Love that title card lmao
13:00 This trick is actually pretty easy (it's the only one I know how to do properly and consistently lol)
You position yourself next to the place where the key is, face the yellow house (look to the right) and press Z to spin in place. While Mario is spinning, hold left and spam the hammer button to cancel the spin and the hammer should clip through the wall.
25:34 That is the sound of a man breaking.
Practice ROMs are not only valid, but invaluable.
