There's actually a second ending to the Rebel's campaign: Conquest, rid the galaxy of every imperial controled planet and you get a different cutscene at the end.
@jordanthejq12 You don't necessarily need to capture anything, just have no Imperial controlled worlds. It's possible to do this by capturing all planets before the Death Star spawns by letting the fleet take Mon Calamari which merely pauses the campaign until you take it back. Then the Death Star will spawn at Alderaan and immediately leave after the cutscene. This leaves Alderaan Neutral and since there are no more Imperial Worlds, the alternate cutscene will play without even having to send a fleet there.
You are blowing my mind right now by attacking Kuat right out the gate!!! I guess it makes sense to me now, but back when I first played over a decade ago, I never would have dreamed of doing such a thing. Ah, when game narration doesn't match game mechanics...
Yeah, when first playing this game I assumed attacking Kuat after the first mission would be stupid given there's supposed to be a Star Destroyer there according to what you're told. Learning you could take it pretty much right away with the right strategy blew my mind. Granted I usually take Korriban instead cause I feel fighting the pirates is easier, but that's just my preference.

wth im playing a rebel campaign and when all the guys are in the reinforcement point i saw the cutscene but once the cutscene is over it dont say i won
I attack the Empire. Basically if you take their planets first so you can build up your forces before starting the next mission and beyond the mission.
I really enjoyed it until the thing happened that broke the game for me. After unlocking the entire galactic map in campaign a terrifying imperial fleet appeared and this fleet somehow can to field 6 ISD, 2 victories and 2 interdictors in the same battle What the hell? What happened to the pop cap limit? How am i supposed to defeat 6 ISD and hundreds of TIEs with limited units?
Well a. There's also an imperial campaign which I would expect is a similar length, and 2. Neither length accounts for time spent in things like galactic conquest.

In this case, I think you can only trigger it if you capture the final Imperial planet while the Death Star is in hyperspace.

Yeah, it's all about keeping the AI from being able to attack you and putting you on the defensive.

I just tried to do the campaign, the empire won't let me hold any planet and keep attacking me non stop, just like the original story lol
That's why I go on the offensive and take all the planets before continuing the next mission.
