Do you remember hearing this full blast in a pub/club when it came out? And after once everyone knew the words? 😂 I remember a pub/club going so mental I thought the door staff would stop people from dancing so wildly but they joined in with everyone including the bar staff! Truly amazing

Do you know that Noel came back to Argentina with his High Flying Birds in 2017 and they just played the music and let the audience sing the WHOLE song? It's as amazing as the 2009 River Plate version you mentioned :)

What i like about this is you recall having to memorize this song when you were a kid only because you were instructed too but your reaction when you revisted this as an adult shows that you now understand or at least feel through the music, why

I've recently gotten reacquainted with Oasis - as of yesterday, I've listened to all their albums, and every one is a gem! Their other big his was Champagne Supernova, so you might wanna check that one out

I was 19, just bought a bmw for cash and on the drive home put wounder wall cd on, needless to say, I enjoyed that drive home, I was pretty full of myself, these boys are from the north like me so we bought in to their success and loved watching em scaring all those softy’s down south🇬🇧

These guys hit big when I was at University and man, you are reacting perfectly- enjoy it, groove with it! So nice to see young folks digging into the stuff I love. This and Cast no Shadow are my favorite tunes of theirs.

Yeah, no one person from the UK has not heard this song. It’s basically the National Anthem.
I picked up on their love for The Almighty Beatles early and even noticed the same note sequence in the opening of this song, and wrote em off, but this song is great,, the other songs are bit contrived
and the Lyrics of most of their songs always stop short of being vulnerable,

Some very family riffs, and or hooks from many more,, I liked Wonderwalls Original sound on that track, but further listening to the entire album had me gripped by the Led Zeppelin Court Fiasco which led Jimmy Paige to agree to add the original
Artists , name to each song as long as he could maintain Co writer , based on his eccentric, and pompous opinion that the arrangements were his, clearly Jimmy had learned early it's ok to nick an entire song and maintain artistic integrity with little enhancements to it,,
No respect for Jimmy, since then.
Oasis hides most of the borrowed hooks and riffs well, Led Zep s first 2 albums had so many covers, I'm sure they never thought these covers arranged almost identically to the Original American artist would be detected . Well they came to the home of Blues, and not counting the staunch Zep fans who will go to the grave ignoring the facts, going so far as to say, it never happened, and refusal to click links to the Original Songs left me thinking it's one thing to be a fan , but blind faith in the worlds best cover band keeps them vigilant against facts.
So Oasis is ranked higher on my list .

@@scotty7174 yes, I knew I had seen him, I just always laughed at that smile, I asked a friend of mine in the UK to try to find out where they filmed that video because the look British, but I guess they did it over here in the states.

Easily Oasis's greatest song. All downhill after that.
About 3/4s through the video you had a lighter out. Now grab some herb, pack a bowl, light it, smoke it and listen to the first 2 oasis records. Ya won't regret it

So true! When it comes to oasis, their music videos arent that important… it actually feels better to listen to their songs without the music video… but this is actually one of their better music videos since its super simple and kinda reflects the attitude of the song

Growing up, a Bangladeshi, the most iconic things from England for me and my friends were: Oasis, Premier League, Mr Bean, Pink Floyd, and James Bond. Not bad for England giving us some more things of their own to be loved over here even after fucking us over for almost 200 years, eh?
