He does solo music now. I would love to see you react to a more recent performance to see what you think about his voice now.
Absolutely, he sings much too in the nose and has done it for a while, but actually he didnt lose his voice, he still has got it but it is just that this is a vocal technique that ensures him to place his voice in the facial mask and that he does not miss the high notes. But with a better position of the larynx, which he could work, his would get his "larger raspy voice" back. It s such a pitty that he does not work on this because he would sing just like in the first years. I'm a singer and know this problem very well, I would love to know what Beth thinks of this

This Supersonic version from MTV 120 minutes is my favorite, I even prefer it to the one on the album. The tempo is faster, Liam's raspy voice and the guitars that sound super distorted super My Bloody Valentine-ish, I love it! 🎸🎸
Is this the only Oasis song you’ve done? Liam’s comeback and new voice or older voice is diff but close enough that it’s still amazing. In his older age he has become an amazing man and a good father and husband. LONG MAY OASIS CONTINUE TO ROCK N ROLL THE WORLD!
94-the end of 96 Oasis were the real deal. So exciting and really shook the UK up for a while. Definitely Maybe, What's the Story and all those Unreal B-sides from that era hold up and are well worth listening to today.
I think the thing you talk about Liam stretching his words is the influence Johnny Rotten had on hin like "shiiiineeee". His posture is also from Rotten. He did this thing for coincidence and the producer told him it sounded really cool reminded him of Johnny Rotten and the Sex Pistols and Liam hasn't looked back since hehe.
The harmony you describe It's when you sing with your brother. It can't be explained but you know automatically how to sing with each other. Every set of brothers I know that sing are ridiculously good.
Love oasis always have, and I am from South Africa, Liam is the man, did great at Wembley and Knebworth last year again, also at the foo fighters tribute last year for he's mate /friend Taylor Hawkins, well done. Nice one ☺😚😎❤👍
Maybe already said, but didn't Liam say his posture at the microphone allows him to project more? I honestly believe that he doesn't put much effort or thought into singing. The dude is a natural and the definition of a rock star.
Absolute tune and belting version of Supersonic, that and Rock n Roll Star live by the sea are proper Oasis! Legends. Mad for it! 💪🏼🇬🇧
This song is such a banger. Oasis was HUGE. I still have a listen to them from time to time. They came very close to creating their own genre of music.
There are very few singers who could do what Liam did in 1994-1998. The dude was so good at his own niche. Is he the greatest singer of all time, no, but does he maximize his voice for each song? 100% The dude is a flat-out STAR. Can't beat it
Really liked how there's no bullshit with you and you just go straight to the point with such an informative analysis. Easier to learn when you feel the person knows what they're talking about and is very good at explaining it. Keep it up!!!
"not sure how big they were in the rest of the world" Just check out their live concert in river plate Argentina, the crowd knows and sings along every single song, I was there and it was a blast.
its interesting how the bass player and rhythm guitarist are playing such a powerful simple rhythm with the bro's doing a different thing entirely, gives a 3d image to the song
They didnt take training, but they do get coached by record producers and other artists in order to do this and protect their voice so they can do it almost every day without blowing it out. They will keep the sound, but find an easier way that fits them with the least strain.
React to Liam Gallagher - Roll it over at Knebworth 2022 to see him really show what he is made of after all these years with a ”bad singing technique”…
That's why I love Oasis and Liam. Those guys are for real! Liam's voice is unique, he's not afraid to singing. I hate most of the modern artists 'cause they're fake. They can't sing and everything they do need to be perfect and very well edited.
Love the videos. I've done a lot of experimentation based on Liam's style of vocal delivery. Can confirm that it's a "live for the moment" kind of technique. Within a very few years, this style burned him to the ground, and I can feel the same thing happening if I do it. For some applications, nothing else hits the same way, but it's best used sparingly for health reasons.
Liam Gallagher once told his brother - you might write the songs, but I make them. And almost all of the best Oasis songs are using Liam's vocal. IF you ever find the early demos, Liam's voice was a lot softer and less impactful. He has the perfect voice for these songs, I think.
@@BethRoars thanks! Yes I’ve been really blessed with the career I’ve had. As have you. I’m a classically trained pianist with a music degree and took up guitar 2 years ago. And listen to every genre! Great music is great music! Thanks for covering this!
Liam always had such a unique posture for singing. Leaning upwards to that tall mic stand and standing with his hands behind his back. Lemmy from Motorhead sang with the tall mic stand, too, but no singer I know ever sang with his arms behind his back
I saw Oasis in a smallish club (1000 capacity) in 1994. Amazing gig, but I'm sure Liam was using me as a focal staring point, as I was centre audience and stand 6ft 5". Pretty unnerving.

Loved your analysis of Noel Gallaghers’s vocals with his “scoops” and percussiveness - and now your analysis of Liam 🎸🇬🇧 long time fan from the USA 🇺🇸 thank you!
I'd be interested to see reactions on the more powerful era of his voice, stuff from the '96 and 97' tours where Liam really pushed his voice to and past his limit. The Knebworth and GMEX gigs especially really showcase the sheer power in his voice.

Oasis genuinely had 2 absolutely legendary albums back to back years. Most bands are lucky to have half of one great album. They were massive worldwide aswell
Be here now is absolutely massive too
@@Antonin377 it killed them in North America but yes
@@fredsystra7584 imo Noel's management kill liams voice and band energy, it was way too hard for them. Too many shows on this tour, u can hear that liam is getting worse day after day.
They were huge on the South African charts as well.. I loved their first 4 albums, DM, WTSMG, Masterplan, Be Here Now ..liked most of the others as well. I think their first two were amongst the greates in rock history. Fave song is "Underneath the Sky" then "Cast no shadow" ,"listen up"," its good to be free","Morning glory","see the sun","Acquiese" ,"Masterplan" ,"Love Forever" ,"Slide Away".
@@BloodSweatAndMeth you get the general idea though or do you ? Or are you like someone in a mosh pit trying to discuss Newtonian physics.
See the sun??
As someone from Manchester I've always liked how he was so unashamed of his accent and sang in it too - MAKE ME LAFFFFF
This Supersonic version from MTV 120 minutes is my favorite, I even prefer it to the one on the album. The tempo is faster, Liam's raspy voice and the guitars that sound super distorted super My Bloody Valentine-ish, I love it! 🎸🎸
This is my favorite version of Supersonic. I am bias because I got to see this live. ruclips.net/video/5pwJhIr46z4/видео.html
Oasis were popular here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 in the mid 90's as a kid I would often here wonderwall champagne supernova on the local radio
90s Liam was legendary. And then, his voice was gone...after the 2000.
Thanks Beth! About time a vocal coach reacts to Liam!
The harmony you describe
It's when you sing with your brother.
My favourite Oasis song, great choice!
Legends. I asked my 17 yr old son and his missis if he knew who Oasis were and he said ‘yea we wants tickets to there comebacks concerts make sure you get some don’t let me down’ 😂 Stood the test of times these boys! Mad for it! 💪🏼🇬🇧
This is the way Liam always sings, he's always said by standing the way he does let's him belt out the voice he gives
This song is such a banger. Oasis was HUGE. I still have a listen to them from time to time. They came very close to creating their own genre of music.
Loved em ever since 94!
The swagger these boys had in the day was something to behold.
I have always been and i will forever be MAD FER IT
Please do Slide Away live at Knebworth '96. Peak Liam.
What makes him so amazing is that he wouldn't not care about all that vocal, science
Best Rock Singer ever
The one and only Liam Gallagher 🇬🇧❤️🙏🏻
Cast No Shadows, Live Forever, Stop Crying Your Heart Out, all great. Thank you
They have a lot of fans in South America, too. Liam was in Brazil in last november and his gig was amazing.
You should react to Oasis - All Around the World at Gmex in 1997. Incredible vocals.
"not sure how big they were in the rest of the world"
Just check out their live concert in river plate Argentina, the crowd knows and sings along every single song, I was there and it was a blast.
its interesting how the bass player and rhythm guitarist are playing such a powerful simple rhythm with the bro's doing a different thing entirely, gives a 3d image to the song
One of the best vocals of this song
They didnt take training, but they do get coached by record producers and other artists in order to do this and protect their voice so they can do it almost every day without blowing it out. They will keep the sound, but find an easier way that fits them with the least strain.
Izzy B Phillips of Black Honey uses some of these vowel sounds in her singing. She's from the UK too.
React to Liam Gallagher - Roll it over at Knebworth 2022 to see him really show what he is made of after all these years with a ”bad singing technique”…
Liam’s attitude was/is untouchable. Please checkout Slide Away from when they performed at Knebworth..His vocals were insane!
i love oasis so much, liam is a legend
Massive pretty much everywhere except the USA, imagine they’ll do pretty well even touring there now though after the break
For some applications, nothing else hits the same way, but it's best used sparingly for health reasons.
one of my favorite songs of all time
Great video 👍👍 That posture and that voice is so unique! No range, but yet so powerful.
Liam Gallagher once told his brother - you might write the songs, but I make them. And almost all of the best Oasis songs are using Liam's vocal. IF you ever find the early demos, Liam's voice was a lot softer and less impactful. He has the perfect voice for these songs, I think.
Yes! The best live version of my favorite song!
I worked with Oasis at Epic Records. We signed them and had great fun with their debut release and more, touring, marketing, etc. Always loved them!
That’s really cool!
Wow awesome
@@BethRoars thanks! Yes I’ve been really blessed with the career I’ve had. As have you. I’m a classically trained pianist with a music degree and took up guitar 2 years ago. And listen to every genre! Great music is great music! Thanks for covering this!
That performance was gold
Hi Beth! I like Oasis! Okay so let’s all wear stripes and get Supersonic! This Band has good songs! Take care!
They were massive here in Canada too.
???
Working class Manchester lad singing his heart out , no one , and I mean no one , can sing the way he does . Totally untouchable, totally unique , Americans will never really understand oasis cos wonderwall is all they know ( which is one of the best sing a long songs of all time ) but Noel is one of the best songwriters of the last forty years . Haters will say he’s an overrated chancer but people who hate are often the same people who failed in life and really just hate themselves
Well said 🙌🫡
You should really react to Oasis - Live Forever (Acoustic) MTV 1994, it's very impressive what Liam could sound like without the loud noise you would never think he didn't have a bit of vocal training
Well said, an amazing performance by Liam on that one
Loved your analysis of Noel Gallaghers’s vocals with his “scoops” and percussiveness - and now your analysis of Liam 🎸🇬🇧 long time fan from the USA 🇺🇸 thank you!
You should react to Noel’s new song “Dead to the World” - it’s so beautiful
This is my favourite Supersonic performance
he was a great singer in the 90s especially around glastonbury 94. Hes ok now but nothing more. Im glad hes still around though as he can still do it
Watch their 96 Knebworth concert when Liam was in his prime. He was so raw and just good.
I'd be interested to see reactions on the more powerful era of his voice, stuff from the '96 and 97' tours where Liam really pushed his voice to and past his limit. The Knebworth and GMEX gigs especially really showcase the sheer power in his voice.
Love this… Liam’s stance reminds me of Peter Cook as the enigmatic pop star in Bedazzled.
Wow so mindblowing - so talented siblings and great band in their early days! But I know they will announce their comeback in the second half of this year and they will have some new great songs from Noel with this great voice of Liam. It will happen.... 😉👍😀
It didn’t happen
Nice prediction, the impossible did happen!
@@flamemonster62thebedrocked46 😉
@@brianhostetler4380 Sometimes dreams come true if you really like to.... but wait there will be some new songs coming.. 😉👍
Love Liam and Noels voice, but how about doing a “ marti Pelli “ from , wet wet wet ? Would love to hear your analysis ❤
@9:07 Liam's high wasn't the crowd at this point in his life ...... just keeping things family friendly xD, also the stance (not sure if someone else has said already) he got from Ian Brown of stone roses :) just in-case peeps think my comment might be negative, its not i love oasis they were my childhood and they got me into music :D
His enunciation is really clear which is a skill in of itself
Noel is definitely a tenor. Is Liam really a tenor? Always thought he was going into falsetto for higher tenor parts (which he is great at, like at end of chorus in Live Forever)
Omg....finally......please stay on the oasis route.
