In this video, you'll be testing the new firmware update version 1.2.0 for the Canon PowerShot V10 camera. The update promises enhanced image stabilization performance, which you'll compare against the previous version 1.1.0.
You'll walk through the firmware update process, covering the over-the-air method using the Canon Camera Connect app. This includes steps like connecting the camera to your smartphone, downloading and installing the update, and confirming the new firmware version.
Additionally, you'll briefly test the vlogging capabilities of the PowerShot V10 with each firmware version (1.1.0 and 1.2.0) to assess any differences in image stabilization. This involves walking the same route with and without image stabilization enabled for both firmware versions.
The video is shot in 4K at 23.98 frames per second. You'll provide comparison footage demonstrating the camera's performance with and without image stabilization for both firmware versions, walking at a slightly slower "ninja-like" pace.
Overall, the video aims to showcase the firmware update process and evaluate the improved image stabilization claimed by Canon in version 1.2.0 for the PowerShot V10 camera.

Thank you for showing, I like the V10 as a second camera to my Fuji X-H2 a lot. Greetings from Munich!
Thank you for your comment. Greetings from California! I’m glad you like the V10. I also my second camera. It does a wonderful job for what it’s for.
such a great tutorial, thank you for this!
Thank you for your comment. I’m glad this was helpful.
Nice video my friend - I notice that the censor crops in slightly more now, due to the stabilisation being digital as apposed to analogue I presume but worth the upgrade I think .....
Thank you for your comment. Yes, it might a bit. It’s also could be that I angled the camera down a little with the v1.2.0. But I could see it myself.
Thanks for Sharing. Do you think, its a bit better than before?
Hi, thanks for reaching out. YES it’s a bit better. At the end of the video, you could see the “Side-by-side” view. I do notice the difference and improvement over the previous firmware. Also, for best experience when moving, turn Off Auto-ND filter.
Nice video brother,
Tell me wht is bettery backup shooting canon v10?
Mostly in youtuber said its bettery not good .
Tell me wht is ur experience about its bettery life.
Hi, thank you for your comment. The battery isn't bad in my opinion... when using it and charging it frequently. But compared to the Osmo Pocket 3, it's not good. When not used for a while, the V10 battery drains really fast. Unlike the V10, the Pocket 3's battery is great, and when not used for a while, it still retains charge and doesn't drain completely. For example, in a month or two without use, the Pocket 3 would drain to about 80%. The V10 would be completely empty in a week or two. I can say with certainty that Canon uses a cheap battery in their V10, and I don't like that.
@@TossSong thx brother ur rply really help me to take my decision.
No problem. Happy to help.
Can you tell me what the camera settings are?
Hi, yes. 4K 23.98P. If there’s something specific, let me know. In the video, I do show the changes that are made accordingly.
It has flash?
Thanks for commenting. But No,no flash.
Not even close to dji pocket..
Thanks for your comment. I would agree, even though they do have different form factors, and that one has mechanical gimbal and the other digital. Mechanical will always out do digital. I did a comparison video to demonstrate this. Furthermore DJI P3 gets updates frequently to improve it. I can’t say the same for the V10, so far the 2 updates have not been significant.

It's still good. Also, I don't trust dji. Their app is blocked.
Hi, I also agree with that it’s good for the use that I do. That’s why I still have it in my possession. I have many uses for it. For example, it has a one-inch sensor (also the P3), I can easily set it up for low light capture. I have also use it for supplemental footage (b-roll), work perfectly with great video quality, when I need it for my behind the scenes for my photography sessions. Any many more for RUclips footages.
