  • Update your Godox X3S, N or C Trigger Firmware v1.09 (Mac & Windows)
    This video shows you how to update the firmware on your Godox X3S, N or C trigger from version 1.00 to 1.09, on both Mac and Windows computers. (For Godox X3N Nikon, Godox X3C Canon and Godox X3S XnanoS Sony.)
    In the video you'll learn:
    * Downloading the Godox G3 Firmware Launcher and X3S firmware from the Godox website.
    * How to bypass the security message on Mac to open the updater app.
    * How to connect your trigger and update the firmware using the Godox Firmware Updater software.
    * What to do if you see a red "device disconnected" message (it's okay!).
    By the end of this video, you'll be able to update your Godox trigger firmware with confidence!

    Unfortunately I bricked my trigger trying to update it

      Hi, if you press and hold the knob and you see the arrow, it’s not bricked. Plug in back in and use the software and press Update until the green bar moves.

    Every time I have a connected, it keeps disconnecting on its own

      Thanks for reaching out. I believe almost everyone will get that disconnect message. It’s the app/launcher issue. I recommend keep trying based on my videos and/or reboot the computer and start again.

      Also make sure you have the current launcher for your computer OS “Godox G3 Launcher V1.1”.

      @@TossSong yup i was update today , when to see your vid , before ver is 1.06 of sony , now it 1.09 but i dont have time to try

    YES, there was the problem: the manual tells to start the update via firmware updater app and didn't tell to first press update on the X3.

      Hi, thanks for reaching out. Did you get it resolved? Even if you did it out of order, you could still update it. If you haven’t, press the knob to see the arrow. Then plug it back in and select Update on the software until the green progression bar start moving. You may have to repeat again, press the knob, and select Update on the software until the bar moves. Let me know.

    I tried with Mac last version and Windows and nothing it doesn't turn on anymore if I press the little wheel with USB the arrow appears. The message from G3 says it has been run but it won't turn on

      I also get that almost with every firmware update I’ve done. Keep trying to update it and see. Exit out if necessary. Reboot the computer. Turn off and on the trigger. Then try again.

    En caso de que no esté claro... GODOX X3 TIGGER
    1 Abra el godox programa G3 y cargue el version firmware
    2 conecte el cable según el producto al godox x3. Tenga en cuenta que está apagado
    3 mantenga presionado el botón de control giratorio durante unos segundos hasta que
    aparezca la palabra actualización en idioma chino en el Godox X3.
    presiona Ir para actualizar en tu computadora, espera 15 segundos
    4 Cuando la barra de progreso en verde se detenga y la ventana muy difícil de leer
    que está sobre ella indique que la actualización se completó, haz clic en "Salir"
    Finalmente y listo.
    Desenchufe el cable ok

      Hi, thanks for reaching out. I contacted Godox, they found a problem with the macOS Launcher and took it down. They’re working on it and should be back up soon. Here’s their reply:
      “Thanks for your email and sorry to hear the issue had to you.
      We're sorry that G3 Launcher V1.1 for Mac OS was currently taken down as our technicians detected a problem and are rectifying it. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”l
