      @Fazejc976 Ah thankyou so much for this info. I can buy that from amazon I can see. High lifts dyes are being used with either 30 vol or 40 vol developer so it is correct that you use the 30 vol. I am using 30 vol with the hair dye as well as I need 2 levels of lift, 20 vol only lifts 1 level with hair dyes. So it is ok and safe to use it with 30 vol, it does not damage your hair but only do the roots with that colour and use a demi or semi permanent colour for the lenngths. If you dye with permanent dye and 30 vol over and over again on the already dyed hair then you get damage. If you use it on the roots it is fine.

    This is the best hair dying tutorial I have ever seen! I've been wanting to go ginger for a while, and have tried (and failed) a couple times already, but this is the first video I've seen that actually makes me feel as though I understand the process enough to succeed for once. Here's to hoping that this go around is finally the one that turns out well.

    I am so glad that I stumbled upon this video! I recently went to a salon and had my hair dyed. I was blonde for about two years and so I wanted to go copper. I waited about 3 weeks to wash my hair and as soon I started washing my hair the color came out super quick. I’m now strawberry blonde and the back is darker than the front ( the colorist messed up smh). Every video that I have watched on RUclips has been people using the semi permanent rinses which I didn’t want to do. Your method is going to be Perfect for me so I can try to fix the unevenness and get my hair laid at home😩. THANK YOU! I loved your video and your hair tuned out beautiful! 💕 just subscribed

      I’m having that problem as well. I had a full head of bleached hair with a significant amount of brown regrowth. I got it done copper but within 10 days I had to go to the salon to get it touched up as the colour faded after 2 washes, on the bleached section of my hair. So far it has cost me $600 :(
      I’d love to do this at home but am scared. How did you go?

    I have had my hair dyed by so many people now including a salon.
    I love the bright copper colour but from dyes that are dull to people botching it, I get fustrated with it 😪
    at the salon I asked for an ombre with highlights so they put on only one colour that was a bright red not copper or ginger 😬
    my sister did a good job with a lunar tides but refused to lighten the top so it only showed on my tips.
    last time it was done I had it done by someone I didn't want to touch my hair who forced me to let them and I was freaking out!!! (they massaged it like shampoo and because there was dye left they found it funny to rub it on my face!!!!!)
    so my hair has been very patchy ever since. 😭
    was also done more of a dark red but I usually try to aim for coppers and aurborns (I like a mix of natural and bold being kinda in the middle)
    but I've been leaving my hair for a while to get as much colour out before I strip it but i won't do that maybe for a few more months to give my hair a break (one thing I am glad about is my hair is usually pretty healthy apart from a few split ends but if I'm changing up the colour I leave it a few months anyway to breath)
    I will probably strip my hair before I do it again anyway to get the rest of the patchiness out and I found stripping it gets my hair to my natural light mousy blond without damaging it which I found bleach did to my ends (so I am glad only the ends were done)
    but in the meantime I've been looking up tutorial over tutorial. dyes after dyes. (pretty hard to find a bright copper in the drugstore so online is the only bet and won't get one unless there are good reviews)
    but I have never seen anyone with hair close to how I want it with a tutorial. there are photos online I'm like yes!!! that!!! but no tutorials.
    TODAY IS MY SAVING GRACE!!!! 😭😭😭
    seeing your hair here with it being a tutorial your hair not only being the colour I want but also not being dry (if I see a decent looking colour but the hair looks overly dry I tend to skip it)
    but your hair looks healthy and with the tutorial on the routs and stuff, maybe there's hope for my hair after all 😅😊

    • @user-kj7jk6kn9g
      @user-kj7jk6kn9g 3 года назад +1

      I think you have to do what she did to her roots to your whole hair with a slight difference. You'd have to apply the product on all of your hair with the exception of the roots, let it sit for 15 minutes and then continue with the rest. The reason for this is the heat of the scalp makes the process faster. If you put it in your roots from the beginning you're going to get "hot roots" (lighter roots, darker ends, which doesn't look natural)

    • @HodajuciParadoks
      @HodajuciParadoks 3 года назад

      @@user-kj7jk6kn9g True, unless you do not go lighter than your own level. I color my roots first every time, but I never use developer more than 10-15volume(3-4,5%) If you stay the same level or go darker, roots first is fine, even better if you have greys. But if you use 30 volume, yes - do the roots last.

For this very reason I didn't know the best way to go about it. I usually just cut the color off🤷‍♀️.

    Do you recommend for someone who is a dark blonde to still use the two different color reds for the roots and the ends? I know you talked about it with the developer and the roots for you being a darker haired person to help match the rest of your hair

    I see this video is for your roots but I’m trying to get the hair color you have because it’s amazing!! I’ve been wanting to do copper for a long time. Can I use this process if all of my hair is dark brown? Or is this just a video for roots?

    Was the rest of your hair already bleached/blonde before you went copper? Or was the copper on your lengths achieved through 30vol developer plus colour?

    Hi Rebecca, I love your colour.😍.
    I'm trying to replicate it but having a difficult time finding the products. I live in South Africa, and can't seem to find matrix colours. Could you please list the exact colours/numbers so I can try to find something similar. Thank you in advance....PS. here's hoping you see this😅 God bless.

    Some of your info was a little off. Matrix Is a 1:1 ratio but other brands may differ. Your hot cross bun sectioning is wrong. Its center part to nape then ear to ear as your hair is finer at the front and that's why you start at the back. Also peroxide is usually a 3 shade lift not 1 so 3% deposits tone. 6% is upto 3 shades of lift. 9% is upto 5-6 shades and 9% is anything above. Your hair looks beautiful BTW 😍

    I know this was 5 years ago. So you are using 30 developer with the hair color on the roots only and it lights and deposits?

    Thank you for the tutorial. Could you explain please what you would do different if you were going for a brighter orange not copper would you still use 30 developer and a different color and it would still lift brown roots? Thank you))
