Hairdresser here... I use the same formula on me just different ratio. But 25 minutes is not enough time for the color to process properly. You should be leaving it on somewhere between 30 mins to 45 mins. Permanent color is a 2 parts process where first the developer lifts up the color from your hair folicule and after that it deposits the new pigment. You're only getting the lift part done and some very little deposit on your hair. You can see how your root area is darker than the lenght because the lenght has been to this process more times and so the color has been lifted more times so it looks more translucid than the newer, closer to the scalp hair. Nothing bad will happen if you leave the color in longer, at some point it will simply stop its process. Try leaving it on for 45 mins next time and you'll see a much better color deposit. Igora is a great brand! I use it exclusively.
Hi, i currently have bleach hair with semi permanent red hair dye on my lengths. im trying to stop using bleach and use igora royal instead to touch up my roots. my natural hair colour is black. do u think 30% developer is ok? & can i still use semi permanent colour on it?
I have a question!! I have had copper hair for years and now my blonde roots are coming in and I want to start dying my shopper at home! Should I be doing my roots first or last or just all at once? I know there will be some color difference but do you have any tips??
What does she mean by using the 20 and 30 developer half and half. Is she mixing it all together in one bowl or 20 developer in one bowl with the 8-77 & 0-77 and the 30 developer with 8-77 & 0-77 in another bowl and use one color for roots and the other for the rest of the hair? Maybe you can answer for me, thank you

Great video! I do this myself as well (sometimes hubby helps me, lol!). I’ve been using the Igora line a few years now and am in love with the orange/coppers!! 🧡
Curious what you recommend for dying a natural level (9ish) blonde to rich copper/red. I’ve gotten it dyed copper/red (to look try to like natural red hair as much as possible) in salon for 2 yrs now but want to try touching up my blonde roots at home.... I know in the salon she would use a dye in just my roots, and then a hydrating all over toner on the rest. Im just curious what volume developer I should use, if at all (Since my hair is already pretty light blonde I wonder if I don’t really need the lift so maybe no lift… )? And then what type of toner… it’s a little overwhelming with all of the options 😅 your hair looks amazing btw! ❤
Looks gorgeous, i see you just added the color to your roots with your natural color, you do that with the whole hair, just over natural dark brown or do you bleach it first?
Hello! Thanks for this video ! Only question I have is can I use a different developer? I have a different brand already in my bathroom storage. Didn’t want to buy the igora developer if I don’t have to…😭 please reply
Hey girl, love this color! I’ve been searching for a solid copper color. I just removed black and going to bleach my hair. If I start with bleached hair, do you think these two together would come out like yours? I appreciate your feedback! Thanks ☺️
@@Paleonikki hi hair dresser. No it won’t. Hope this helps
Quick question 🤔 Does it have to be the Igora developer? I have the blondme developer 🤷♀️ And i have a bleach out, and my roots are very dark maybe a level 2. Do i need to bleach the roots before? I see you just applied the color with the 30 on your roots and it lifted amazingly ❤ Your help is much appreciated ❤🙏♥️
Thank you so so much! Results will vary depending on what you're starting off with so unfortunately I'm not able to give you exact directions without a visual of your hair
There is no need to use 20-30 on you’re ends you’re over doing it, you’re only refreshing and re depositing those copper tones, I would remix but only use 10-13 vol on the ends. Using 20-30 every time you’re going to damage your hair….. do you but I don’t recommend, a colour technician or almost 15 years. But apart from that only comment is your process time should be minimum 30 minutes. Color looks great!
Do you know if this are Demi-permanent? I been wanting to dye my hair this color, but don’t like the idea of putting permanent on my hair. I’m not familiar with this brand I use redken. And with redken gloss is not much you can lift unless you lighten up your hair before.
@@mariajimenezmorel7488 it’s permanent, my advice to you… you can do you’re roots with permanent, and refresh the ends only with Demi 13 vol , it’s a lot more gentle on the hair and you only do one permanent process to the hair and retouch with demi over time. The roots are the healthiest part of the hair so doing a root touch up at 20 or 30 volume won’t damage your hair. But pulling the 30 vol over your ends continuously it’s a very bad idea! Hope this helps hun! Side tip. When you’re refreshing a red or copper on the ends with Demi, make sure if you use any natural in your formula not to add that to the ends , only refresh with your desired pigments. Example. Formula on roots 7-77 + 7-0 at 20 vol Formula on ends with demi would be 7-77 with 6 or 13 vol or even you can do half 6 and half 13.
