As Raza said you did not explain how to "add" an app. Would you like to try again, for example show us how to add the app "waze" You missed the whole point o the request.
How do you add Apps not listed in Android Auto. How could you miss explaining that, lol!
My question is how to add other apps that doesn't show. Like RUclips or doordash apps stuff like that. Apps that's on your phone but to put it on the android auto. How can you do that?
Only certain apps are compatible with android auto so you can't add every app unfortunately

Another crap video which does not explain to add apps to Android Auto. All you are doing is showing how to turn on or off the apps that are already installed with Android Auto. You aren't adding anything.

I'm trying to add Spotify, but it's not on the list.. When I use Android auto I can hear the music but I only can change things on my phone. It's not on the screen, nor is there a icon..

What if Google doesn't have a weather app or some other app in the Android Auto app list? Can you somehow ADD another app to the "checkmark" list?
My wife and I have the exact same phone (samsung S10). We both have Amazon Music installed. When I first went into Android Auto's customize launcher settings on my phone, Android Music was in the Hidden Apps section. I checked it, it moved up to the main list and now I can use it in android auto in the car. On my wife's phone, Amazon music doesn't show up anywhere in the customize launcher settings. As far as I can tell, all of our settings are the same in Amazon Music and Android Auto. Anything I might be able to do to get it to show up in the launcher?
Click the bottom serial version number 10 times, open developer option and tick. Allow unknown sources that may help

It's a shame there are only a handful of apps that are supported on Android auto. You may as well just use Bluetooth on the phone as its not even worth it. Hopefully they will update and allow a lot more in the future. And i mean a lot otherwise don't bother. They only great thing with Android auto is map's show up nice and large on the head unit but again you have to look down quickly to see the map. Hence taking your eyes off the road for a second as opposed to looking at maps on your phone which is usually stuck to the dashboard so how is that safer??
I don't understand why Android auto does not have chrome or RUclips to watch videos? Is it so complicated?
It would be nice to find someone who can actually put together a video together that shows us something that is not that basic or useless. Pre-set apps which require you to ✓ & X out, is something that just about anyone could figure out.

This how you add music apps. Enable Android auto developer options by tapping version at the bottom of Android auto. Once enabled, hit unknown source ,reboot phone.

Must be an Apple user, because he said pretty much every app will be there, I have about 20 apps to choose from for Android Auto of at least 300 apps on my phone. I want a few other apps that don't show up there, any suggestions, is there a mod apk that allows them to show up?
