The battery life on the 80D is also better as it uses the LP-E6 batteries which are used in a wide range of Canon cameras, like 6D ii, 7D ii, 5D iv. Also the 80D has a headphone jack, which is crucial for audio monitoring. The 200D goes upto ISO 25,600 and the 80D goes only upto 16,000. These were some of the things you didn’t mention which you needed to as you’re reviewing it. Great review though!

Had to come back and thank you for this recommendation. Your honest review led me to buy it and its an absolutely wonderful for its price point. The features are everything I need and it didn't break the bank. I'm buzzing I found this video as I almost bought a Sony a6000 that is nowhere near in terms of features.
What do you think of the Canon M50 Mirrorless for RUclips videos as I have no experience with any DSLR or Mirrorless I just use a Sony camcorder but thinking of upgrading I think prices are the same here in the Uk
It's almost the same as 80D in the picture quality as the sensor is the same, but in the manual mode the 80D gives me slightly more control like more values for setting ISO and also can set the Kelvin temp which the 200D can't but I doubt many users would require that advanced functionality.

Using the close up mic, overloads the audio input. You can hear the AGC pumping in and out. Better audio was with the mic mounted on the cam, or even the internal mic.

ISHAN KHANDELWAL so what? You can also take great photos in auto mode thru mobile's camera if you know what is composition, angle of shooting, exposure levels etc. And if you want manual controls in phone, enable the cameraAPI via rooting.

Buy a Honor or OnePlus (only if you have a good budget) to play with manual mode. If you buy Honor phone then boy oh boy the kodes are so useful. You can even shoot milky way with that phone even if its of 10K (I guess)

yes it does make a difference but very slightly since it catches the noise but little less than internal mic rode mic is for indoor use which you are using

Late reply but he is outdoors. If he used f/1.8 he would have over exposed the image. It’s probably at f3.5 or something similar to the lit lens
