Excellent and very helpful! What a blessing The Sabbath is when we keep it and keep it God‘s way! And it’s so much more a blessing when we work six days as we are commanded to!😊

John 9:16 Therefore the Pharisees were saying, “This man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath.” But others were saying, “How can a man who is a sinner perform such signs?” And there was a division among them.
It's not that gentile refuse to "sabbath" it's just that it wasn't taught in the New Covenant, noticeably the Mashiach/Christ didn't even keep it. Which begs the question, what "example" ought we follow? thousands perhaps millions of New Testament Bibles have been passed out for 2000 years, would you go as far as to say Jesus led people astray? Hebrews 8:10 If the laws of God are "written on our heart" according to the New Testament/covenant, "after those days, says the Lord:I will put My laws into their minds, And I will write them on their hearts"....🤔Explain how gentiles coming into the NEW covenant , following Christ example would ever conclude there's a "specific day of the week" they're supposed to worship on? Per 1john 2:27, spirit filled believers don't need to be taught to love the Lord with all your heart soul mind and spirit, and love your neighbor as yourself but it would take a 7th day Adventist to conclude somehow we've been completely misdirected for 2000 years and God was hiding the truth in the Gentiles so we would fail.
God did not call any other nation to observe the Sabbath, although he would allow Gentiles to join themselves to His covenant with Israel in Isaiah 56:4-7, which is addressed to “the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths.” So, the door was open for the Gentiles to enter into Israel’s covenant, but the specific covenantal, seventh-day Sabbath sign was given exclusively to the people of Israel,

The New Covenant is not of Law. The New Covenant is of Grace, of which an aspect is God's writing of His will/law upon our hearts. Yet, in the New Covenant, we do not please God with our performance, but rather, by our faith.
The New Covenant is not based upon our performance (to God's will).
The New Covenant is based upon God's forgiveness of our lack of performance (to God's will).
Most surely, however, the issue of WHICH DAY we are to gather and worship (not a part of the Ten Commandments) ... is not addressed in the New Covenant.

Exodus 31:14 “Therefore you are to keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it must be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. 15 For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a Sabbath of complete rest [Exodus 20:8-11; Leviticus 23:1-3], holy to the Lord; whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.“ (NASB)
Exodus 35:1 Then Moses assembled all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and said to them, “These are the things that the Lord has commanded you to do: 2 “For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a holy day, a Sabbath of complete rest to the Lord [Exodus 20:8-11; Leviticus 23:1-3]; whoever does any work on it shall be put to death.“ (NASB)
Numbers 15:32 Now while the sons of Israel were in the wilderness [Heb. midbar], they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day [Exodus 20:8-11; Leviticus 23:1-3]. 33 And those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation; 34 and they placed him in custody, because it had not been decided what should be done to him. 35 Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man must be put to death [Exodus 31:14-15; Exodus 35:1-2; Deuteronomy 27:26; Matthew 5:18]; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.” 36 So all the congregation [Heb. edah] brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. (NASB)
Hebrews 3:17 And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness [Heb. midbar]? 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest [Psalm 95:11; Hebrews 4; Matthew 11:28-30], but to those who were disobedient? (NASB)
Deuteronomy 27:26 “ ‘Cursed is anyone who does not fulfill the words of this Law by doing them.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ “ (NASB)
Matthew 5:18 “For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away [Revelation 21], not the smallest letter or stroke of a letter shall pass from the Law, until all is accomplished!“ (NASB)
The one who has ears, let him hear.

You have a good clue on the fact that the Church in the New Testament (and ever since) always met on the "first day of the week", which is our Sunday (except when they attended the Jewish worship in the Temple and synagogues, to preach them). But why? The answer is: Jesus rose from the death on that same day of the week, it is the most significant event for us as believers in Christ. The New Covenant has new rules. Furthermore, 'shabbat' means 'to cease' (work, activity) so that the Church (Catholic, the original one from Christ and His Apostles) keeps fulfilling God's original commandment by keeping the day of rest on the same day Our Lord rose and later sent His Holy Spirit in Pentecost to sanctify His Church, and which, thanks to the cultural and social influence of the Church, became the seventh day of the week. Don't get hung up on distracting marketing stunts like this one by sects like the 'Adventists' and the 'Jehovah Witnesses'. It's just a tool to get attention and recruit new members.

You said new rules. So who makes the new rules? Surly you don’t mean man makes the rules.

How did the first day become the seventh? That’s impossible. You can’t just say something and make it true. The Bible is truth. So I’m going to use the Bible for my guide.

First obey the book of Acts Acts 2:38 repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sin and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost if you don't have this there's no need to worry about the Sabbath because if you ain't got extra 38 you ain't got salvation

The seventh day sabbath is a part of God's perfect, holy , pure , just, and good law.
    Read Ecclesiastes 12:13 ,14

    James: 2 : 10 - 12
    Revelation 22:14

Pr Doug ,10 commandments including the sabbath was given ONLY to the Israelites as part of the old covenant. SDA'S who insist on sabbath keeping are like dogs who want to steal food meant only for the children of Israel. Jesus said such words to the Gentile woman who asked Jesus for her daughter's healing . Mathew 15:26. Jesus even said He was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. So all theses texts you are quoting were meant for the Israelites, God's old covenant people. Jesus Himself gave us the New commandment for the new covenant: love one another as He loves us. John 13:34 .These things I command you that you love one another John 15:17. On judgement day He
will judge us according to this new commandment. " I was hungry and you gave me food , stranger and you took Me in , sick and you visited me etc Mathew 25:31-46. Sabbath keeping is hardly mentioned!
