    This is why golfers aren't improving. They have been convinced that "Performance" is based solely on distance and spin. Distance should be a DISTANT second to dispersion when shopping for a new driver. 8 yards shorter in the fairway vs 8 yards longer in the trees is going to make more birdies every day.

    • @wannabegolfin24-72
      @wannabegolfin24-72 5 лет назад +1

      Very true statement. Dispersion is hardly ever talked about in these driver reviews. But hey, chicks dig the long ball. Apparently guys do too.

    • @clayfleming6286
      @clayfleming6286 4 года назад +1

      TXchadTX I couldn’t agree more, my Mavrik is no longer than my Flash 3D, but more forgiving which led to much tighter dispersion. My longest drives are no longer but my average is up a good bit because front to back dispersion is very tight.

    • @avengednightmare
      @avengednightmare 4 года назад

      Drivers are not for your average golfer... your average golfer would probably lose more than 5 strokes by hitting a long iron off tee and only playing irons.

  • @stevemk4st649

    Thanks for the review and I know that this was just your recommendation, however distance means nothing if you can't find the fairway.
    One test that you and so many other reviewers miss is the dispersion.
    I know we will all swing differently, however if all the clubs were performing so similar in terms of distance, surely the thing that would be the decider would have to be the one that had the tightest dispersion??????

    Tested all of these last weekend, for me and my swing the Mavrik(standard, not SZ) was by far the best. Consistent distances and easy to control. The SIM was the worst, don’t like the thick top line creating the look of a shallow face. The cobra was solid, had to use the SZ as I could not spin the regular one enough, ball speed was down a touch though, probably due to strike. Content in my decision, looking forward to the arrival of my Mavrik.

    • @srptxb
      @srptxb 5 лет назад

      If you remove sound from the equation its been proven players can't feel any differences between clubs. Even from a forged iron to a cast iron. Sound plays into our feel just smell can affect our taste. Its the way our brains work. There are are some very interesting tests out there where they put headphones and blindfolds on players and the results were surprising.

    I play with scratch and low single figure handicap golfers and exactly NOBODY has been able to hit the SIM due to the annoyingly low spin. Guys with clubhead speed of 110-118 are seeing 1600 spin. That's a recipe for a high scoring day. In your chart it's the highest spinning. Odd because no other review has had the same experience.

    You missed a few words from the title: in my opinion, or I think as you mentioned. That is the main problem with media. You are suggesting that these are the best drivers on the market, but at the end, it is just one guy's opinion. People are different. We like a different sound, different finish, performance is similar. And next time, it would help if you could put the mic down on the ground when you record the sound of the driver hit so we don't need to hear your breathing and your clothes' sound. I recommend everyone to go to a store, which has a simulator and try out the drivers, try out more than in this video. And get fitted to the one, which you liked. The Mavrik is easily the ugliest driver of 2020. Hands down, clear winner

    WHere is the Mizuno ST200 G ?! 2 models (G410+ and TS3) are from 2018.. They should be releasing new editions in 2020, should do redo later this year and include the ST200G. Also you should have a “standard” version comparison test (Not the low spinning versions ).

      It's a fair point. Unfortunately the Mizuno driver wasn't available when we did the test. We have since received all three heads and have given them a good test - up against one of the models in this video. We have a review coming soon! Also, we agree regards the regular models - watch this space

    Mizuno is the best in my opinion - especially when you take into account price vs the others.

    Sim, g410, cobra will dominate all others this year but I think I'll be staying with m3 it's hard for me to leave 293 average carry

    Drivers are too expensive for the extra few meters over a 3 or 5 wood. Ppl just like pulling them out the bag then quickly put them back again as they make the long journey to the parallel fairway to find their ball...

      MidLifeBiker unbelievably yesterday I was hitting my driver straight and my 3 wood 40 yards offline. Need a new 3 wood 🤣🤣
