When I hit balls I act like I'm playing an actual round of golf at a course I'm familiar with and will go through shot by shot the entire 18 holds. That typically means I start with hitting driver and yeah it makes no difference if you don't have any warmups shots. I NEVER hit the same club twice in a row because you're never going to do that in a round of golf. This is what makes sense and works for me.
There are two types of range visits. 1. Go for fun and to relax, anything goes, do what makes you happy. You don’t need to come away better, it’s a separate thing from golf. 2. Practice, have a plan and come out better. Just don’t try mix the two, be honest with yourself at the start so you don’t come away losing confidence or confusing yourself.
I'd also say go to the short game area and spend 2/3 of your time there use golf aides so as to get immediate feedback play a range of shots with a range of clubs
Great advice, reinforces what my coach says. Have a plan, practice with purpose, bring my monitor and record the data. The range is where you try new things
Spend less time on the practice range hitting range balls. Work on your chipping and short pitches from various types of lies. Next, move on to the putting green. Putt from various distances and terrain. You should use 25% of your time on the range and 75% on the short game.
Stick a Gopro sticky mount next to the cockpit of your trolley with a phone mount on top, this is how you always have a tripod at hand! Much better than the built in phone mount.
I always went to the range with a plan. Most times, I went thru 3 buckets (90 balls) without achieving even the simplest goal in my plan. The range is anathema to me now.
I avoid weekends, 11-14.00 hrs at my range. Bunches of muscle heads all with the largest ball buckets. Trying to smash the crap, then happy Gilmore time. Next bay, the 8st ,12 year old effortlessly sending it! It doesn't detour our muscle boys though, just pick up the speed. 400 balls delivered 100-150 yds down range in 17 mins!
👍Excellent ... I so try to have a plan when i head out to the range but I see so many people utilizing the "rapid fire" method that I'm shocked! Only constructive criticism would be to always use some sort of alignment stick. Really helps training proper setup... Thanks for the video Subbed liked & of course this comment!
Absolutely use the range to loosen up before a round. Start with 1/2 swings, work you way up the bag to driver, finish with wedges. Then comes the "longest walk in golf", from the driving range to the first tee! Stay loose my friends.
I normally only get range time before a round, so my range time is my warmup routine. I start with my wedges, and work my way to the longer clubs, getting my swing consistent, and then back down, usually hitting the last few balls with the club I plan to start with.
That’s my routine before a game ….3 > balls shots for clubs just to get back the feelings …more on putting practice green. On practice days at the driving range : short segments of shots on wedges, 8 iron, 6 iron, 4h, 7w, 3w, D…..& avg. 40 “ on the practice course with wedges ( variables short distances and putting strokes).
Top 50 coach🤣🤣🤣 who says? Oh , the people who qualify the coaches? The industry brochure, Golf Monthly? Let's see, don't have fun, work! See what's happening with a video; where the ball goes is what's happening! Safe space????. Wtf that's enough its all bollocks 🤣🤣🤣🤣

“Hitting balls without thought or care” good point, but sometimes this is why I go to the range
Agreed, it is pleasant to hit a ball and enjoy it, especially since I can’t do it during a round
He literally said these are things you should do when youre working on your game, clearly he wasnt referring to just having fun
Training with intent is just as valuable as hitting things to clear your mind, I think we can all appreciate that, but they are not the same :)
Good therapy

Great vid👌
Glad you enjoyed it, I hope it helps 🙌
I usually play the course after starting with a few wedges first. Lots of time chipping and putting.

Wish my driving range looked that .

Makes a difference if the range is real grass
Very simple to sum up……..always practice with a purpose
this guy is a ball striker!!

As a left handed golfer it feels like everyone can see u since they’re looking at u when they look up 😂😂
Someone please straighten his hat up, I can't take him seriously when it's wonky like that.! 😂
Lot of people go to relax and destress thats why they go for driver
that gives the opposite results
@flintstones8 people don't care

What if you want to practice driving ? And i don’t mean in your car.
