    I found that hair has a 4 year cycle. During that time there is going to be a time when your hair grows a lot. The key is to know when the heavy grow part of it happens and not cut it during that.

    It’s very interesting to know that texture changes, glad to know this because I kept giving up during my awkward stages getting relaxers. But this time I’m not giving up, your other video inspired me so I went bald in December 2019.

    I haven’t fully finished the video but I had to stop mid way to say your video gives me hope. I shaved all my hair off 2 days ago because I was tired of the breakage and it was not growing. Watching this video and the one before just made me so happy because I have the straight/curly hair texture and in my eyes that was bad because no one else had it. I never saw youtubers talk about that type of texture and it was so difficult to work with my hair because I didn’t understand my hair so watching this video makes me hopeful that I’ll be able to watch this and pick up a few tips and learn what’s best for my hair once it grows in.

    I totally agree, some hair grows better with little to no manipulation. I wanted to do my hair in different twist outs etc as I grew it out but it would seem to never grow pass a certain length. After wearing protective styles for a while and moisturizing, I found my hair would flourish. Great video! Your hair is beautiful!

  • @christina8462
    @christina8462 2 года назад

    The collar on our jacket, coat, and etc. can cause breakage at the nape. Try putting a silk scarf around the lining of your collars. Thanks for the video btw ❤️!

      And that’s ok to feel like that! It’s all a new change and you are not use to seeing yourself like this. If you can, try to hold off on buying a wig and embrace yourself. But do not restrict yourself from wearing them. Just don’t relay on a wig to boost your self esteem. You got this!

    Your hair is lovely! I am 6 months post relaxer and I have 4b hair and a bit of 4a round the nape, but I am sooooo tempted to chop, having the two textures is so annoying! I have a bit of traction alopecia at the nape which puts me off big chopping yet as I want my hair to be long enough to cover it up a bit. I have applied for a job which is going to be working from home due to the Covid-19 so if I get it, I will defo big chop as I won't have to go to work or style it too much! I am so tired of usuing my conditioners on the relaxed hair as well, feels like I am just wasting money and my relaxed ends have become so limp and stringy. I can't wait to be free!

    When you did 2-strand twist using your own hair (no extensions) how did you keep the twist from unraveling & becoming frizzy? How long did the style last?? Absolutely ❤️ your hair!! The Fullness, Curls & Health!!

    • @Fashionarily
      @Fashionarily  5 лет назад +5

      Thank you so much! I made my own flaxseed gel and put the gel at the ends of the twists to freeze the ends. 😃
      The twists would last about 2 months and I would retwist the perimeter every 2 weeks for the 2 months. To keep my hair fresh I used water, aloe vera juice, and a little apple cider vinegar throughout the 2 months.

      I clarified it 2 times using shea moisture clarifying shampoo. When I kept my hair in twists, I used very minimal product so there wasn’t much build up. I only used, home made flaxseed gel, castor oil, and aloe vera juice. That’s all!
