I went to my second appointment today, here are a few answers to some common questions you guys may have.
    1. The injections: The name of the injections are Kenalog, its a steroid
    2. The Oil: Unfortunately, she was not able to give a proper name to the oil/droplets. The oil is compound meaning the lab mixes a few things together to make it. I'll try to find out the components of the mix and show the label in my next update.
    3. The dermatoligist office I go to is Parkland Dermatology in Parkland Florida. (Parkland is in south Florida)
Let me know if you have any other questions, I'll answer them in my update.

Great video. I have never loved my hair. 3 years ago a stylist ripped out my crochet braids. My relaxed hair was weak before that but still pretty and shoulder length. All I could do was cut it all off. Now I am old, Ai, for the FIRST time ever, I love the natural hair God gave me. No more harsh chemicals or heat treatment. Water, sealers ( cream and oil), and gel are my best friends. My type 4 hair is amazing - I now can see how chemicals and heat weakened my hair.

Professional micro needling is not the same as at home. The needles are longer for professional and they can reach a depth that will actually be effective, especially if you are doing PRP with it which also can’t be done by yourself.

You have to do what you need too. I started a hair health and growth journey April, 2020. I have made great growth and the health of my hair is great. I pre poo with conditioner and oil because my hair is dry and tangles. I section and detangle. Find what works for you. I use the Doo Grow Mix. Have for 3 years. It has helped with itching. And my hair loves it. What worked when you were young will still work.

Hi Tami. Have you tried red light therapy for your hair? I have one I purchased by irestore, reconditioned,on eba for about 200 bucks. Also another thing that helped me tremendously was collagen peptide powder. Vital proteins is the most popular but since I do take it faithfully I found bulk suppliers. I take bovine & marine. Vitamin D +K2, iodine, vitamin C & cod liver oil is what I also take as well. You’ll see vitamin C is a building block for collagen. Most of us are low in vitamin D + K2, which is essential for hair growth. Cod liver is an omega 3 which most of us don’t get enough of, also essential for the most healthy hair. Lastly red meat is iron rich. Administrating women tend to be low in iron so eat your red meat. I suggest trying some of these internal things, plus the red light therapy, to see if it helps your edges. When I did this my hair did a 180! Best to you.

Hey! Red light therapy you say? I'm intrigued. I've seen videos on red light therapy for skin but never for hair.. You've sparked my interest, I'm definitely going to look into this. (also internally, I'm a mess, I eat Mc Donalds for dinner 😩 but I'm. working on it lol) Thank you 💕

@@monicachika66 it depends on how bad your damage is. I had 3 areas of concern. The minor spot only needed one injection, the moderate side needed 2, my right side is what’s killing me. It’s a prescription, not an over the counter product. I’ll ask more questions as far as the naming goes during my next appointment but the best answer I was given was that it’s a ‘topical steroid that awakens dormant follicles”
