Hi, I'm watching from Malaysia. I can feel what it means like loosing your edges. I am currently on the journey of growing mine back too. I went to a hair stylist last year, mid May, and i had cornrows. I planned to keep them on for 2 weeks but i couldn't because i was literally seeing my edges separating from my scalp. I took the style down and ever since then my edges are not back to normal. But thankfully they're gradually growing back.
That's the advices I was looking for ! Going thru the same process but I never relaxed my hair in the last 15 years, I got breakage on the nape area + my edges .. Cut all of my hair a year ago and it's still not going on those areas ... I got a routine, I apply oil and make sure it stays hydrated but nothing seem to work
Watching for WA. Thank you so much for this detailed video. I have tension alopécie and female pattern baldness run in my family. Good luck on your journey! My dad has never had even a grown a grain of hair on his head & my mom’s hair is naturally thin. Trust me there is hope. I thought I was stuck as well

Watching from Germany and have been following since the big chop. Your video's are so inspiring and real. There's barely a day that goes by I don't think about just shaving mine off too and starting over. Only 2 things have stopped me, 1. I never learnt how to deal with my afro hair, mum always did it for me and really wouldn't know where to start. 2. We don't have any specialist in afro hair where I live, or even any shops or salons. I always did my hair myself as an adult. I really despair.. but still, I love your video's and am thankful for being able to watch you on your journey l!
First of alll thank you for the heartfelt comment! 🥹💕 second, when it comes to shaving your head it’s something you’ll wake up one day and just do. I was supposed to cut mine on Jan 1st and didn’t actually do it until mid March. When I cut mine I didn’t know how to do natural hair either since I was basically relaxed since 8 years. Up until now I’m still learning how to do my hair & it’s been a process but I’m loving it. It’s definitely worth it, do it on your time when you’re ready!❤️ you got this!!

I have been in denial that my edges were bad for years. It wasn't until I got locked over 20-months ago that I had to face the fact that my edges/hairline was gone seeing how far back my locs started. Very embarrassing 😢. So this year, I decided to do something different because JBCO, wild growth oil, rosemary and Virgin wasnt doing anything for me. So I joined the Hairclub and got on their regiment...and I will tell you after 2-months I started seeing growth. Now it's funny how you were talking about how your hairline touches your eyebrows... but that is actually where my natural hairline starts because I have cowlicks. I haven't seen my natural hairline in years and forgot how low it goes...😂😂 I think I caught my coworker (female) say I look "hairy" because I guess she never seen me or anyone with a low hairline that wasn't a wig with those weird "baby hairs." But anywho, my right side had that same shiny slick spot exactly where yours is, and i thought mine wasn't going to grow either, but both sides are flourishing. Ladies-sometimes you gotta do things differently and maybe spend some extra coins 🪙 as well. Im happy I gave this a try, and now the only problem I'm having is that hair is growing everywhere 😂😂. But I'll take getting my hairline and edges back and use a razor on parts I dont want hair..😊😅
@@LindaWisdomphotography They give you specialized shampoo, conditioner, Millidoxil, hair vitamins specifically for hair follicles growth, and hair massager. A few other products to keep your scalp clean and I have to wash my hair weekly so the products will penetrate the thin area. You can also purchase a laser cap. You will go in monthly for in person treatment, evaluation monitor your progress, and also re-up on your products. It's been 5 months since using the products, and my hair has grown tremendously. I paid for a year so I can't wait to see how much more growth I'll get by the end of the year. Like I said it's not cheap but it's well worth it. And I will have to continue with the products for life.
@@ms.virgo82187 Sounds expensive, but also like a organised service. I'm glad you're getting the results you hoped for. I'm guessing if you say you have to commit for life, that is the Minoxidil side of things. But I would do the same if it was the only solution.
The first 3 months of my journey I regretted everything and just wanted to perm my hair again 😭 it takes patience but I’m at the 2.5 year mark and my edges haven’t looked this good since I was in high school
Maybe I should've gone to your dermatologist before paying for a very expensive hair transplant😫 Between hairloss from my PCOS and my edges from my own hands, I gave up and I am getting a hair transplant at the end of this month. Still working on my bald patch but that comes and goes as it pleases!! Great results!!
Question: Did you let the dermatologist recommend to you to do prp or kenalog shots, or did you specifically request that? Also for the oil mixture @4:25, is that something they made specifically for your hair/scalp, or will it work for all hair types?
Answers: she recommended both procedures based off severity of the damage & the drops work on any hair type, it wasn’t catered to me. She made the mix with a chemist

I'm watching from Florida! Thank you for sharing your journey and giving us who are embarking on a similar hope! 🎊🙌🏾 Congrats!!
Love how RUclips is suggesting this. I been thinking about cutting my hair off completely and restating. I am addicted to cutting it
Commenting from Chicago. Awesome video. Because of you, I made and started using the doo grow mix and what a huge difference its made to my dry 4c hair! Hair stays moisturized for days and I'm seeing faster growth!
Watching from New Jersey . You give me so much hope I thought I would have resort to a hair transplant.
Sometimes having traction alopecia really makes me feel depressed and self conscious because I’ve tried so many things but your journey is inspiring me to keep the faith and now I have tools and resources to discuss with my dermatologist.
Thanks so much
Watching from Maryland. Super helpful. Especially regarding the shots. I had something similar happen to me with braids. And went to see a dermatologist. She didn’t mention micro needling. Now I want to try.
It really grew your edges back...that is AWESOME!!!
Definitely understand your situation. I had locks during covid and those basically ripped out my edges and my sides. I actually waited 6 months before I straightened my hair but I definitely know what you're going through
I’m so glad I found your video. I suffer from traction alopecia around my edges and I have struggled for years to restore my edges. I’m definitely going to try all of these oils and procedures. Watching from US🇺🇸
Your edges are looking great! Kudos to YOU!! ❤❤🩷❤👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
You showed up in my algorithm again and so I finally subscribed after enjoying your content and learning from the detailed updates. Congrats on your well-deserved progress, which I can tell you put so much work and research into. I started incorporating some of your techniques last year, but I'm not nearly as consistent as you. However, I'm back motivated and incorporating the baggy method which I've done from time to time in the past, but have now decided to be more consistent with. I'm watching from Oakland, CA.
I am watching from Houston, Texas. You have come so far with your hair journey. I love how you’re embracing your natural hair. Much more luck to you with your edge journey.
Your hairline is freakin gorgeous🥰I love your updates so much. The natural girlies don’t do em like this anymore
Watching from Maryland. I remember when you started your journey, and I always look forward to your updates. Congratulations, truly happy for you, your edges are fabulous.❤
I’m watching from Buffalo, NY. You are so close to the end of your edge regrowth journey. I’m so happy for you that it is about to be a victorious finish!
I really like this page! Thank you for being so transparent ❤
I’ll be going to my dermatologist I’ve been struggling with hair loss for some time now and i deal with it and i can hide it and cover it but it does bother me. I’m so happy you saw results definitely inspiring
Thank you for sharing your progress. I have struggled with hair loss too from traction alopecia and im inspired not to give up. ❤
Don’t give up. It’s a TOUGH journey. I’ve almost given up twice & wouldn’t have made it this far if I did 🥹 I’m rooting for you
That's the advices I was looking for ! Going thru the same process but I never relaxed my hair in the last 15 years, I got breakage on the nape area + my edges .. Cut all of my hair a year ago and it's still not going on those areas ... I got a routine, I apply oil and make sure it stays hydrated but nothing seem to work
This is an inspiring journey you shared and I’m so happy for you! 🙏🏾❤️😘
I'm definitely going to reach out to the dermatologist you have recommended. Your hair looks great
Watching for WA. Thank you so much for this detailed video. I have tension alopécie and female pattern baldness run in my family. I thought that my only option was to enjoy my hair while I have it and when it fades cut it off and wig it for the rest of my life. You have given me new hope. I’m going to do a big chop and see a dermatologist asap.
Good luck on your journey! My dad has never had even a grown a grain of hair on his head & my mom’s hair is naturally thin. Trust me there is hope. I thought I was stuck as well
Hey lady! I have been following your hair journey since you started it, and I've been on the same hair journey as you. I'm so proud of you and your hair looks so healthy and it's grown so much. Wow I am amazed. I'm watching from Kennesaw Georgia a suburb of Atlanta Georgia. As you know the last time that I saw a video by you I did let you know that I was doing the exact same thing, and my hair has grown considerably as well I'm just having an issue with my edges also. I'm in a financial situation right now in regards to my living arrangements so I cannot afford a dermatologist and my insurance does not cover that but that's okay because prayer works. I wish you all the best and may God continue to bless your hair growth!!
You are a very determined person....I like your growth...keep it up
I'm watching Nevada, Sin City. I love watching your growth, growth. It has came so far and gives so much inspiration.
OMG!! That’s a big difference! Your consistency is unmatched. Oh it has to be a great feeling to be edgefull 🥹🥹🥹🥹 hopefully one day mine will return from their super extended 14 year vacation 😩😩😅😅 Wishful… down here in South Georgia! 💕
Entended 14 year vacation 😂😂😂😂😂😂 mine was on a 10 year hiatus so I get it 😂😂😂😂

@@tamithecreator I emailed you from an email starting with the word *misses*… I pray this is real 🥹🙏🏽🥹🙏🏽🥹🙏🏽
Hey luv, I've been waiting for an update for awhile now and checking your channel every day to make sure I don't miss anything because RUclips doesn't always notify me 🤔. I'm so happy for you and you have encouraged me to take better care of my edges especially when wearing my protective style (wigs). Thank you so much and I can't wait to see your full hair routine. Sending you positive energy. Watching you from St Louis Missouri 🌻😜🙌🏾
Omgg yesss girl I'm so happy for you !! I'm in newyork I hope I can find someone to do the shots for me . But I will fly to Florida if anything !!! lol ❤️ you gave me hope
Girl, if we got a fly, we gotta fly😂
I moved to another state and could not find a good hairdresser and I learned to do my own one day I decided to do a bun which was too tight and literally heard my hair rip from the scalp my edges look like yours did ! I got shots they only helped with one side I still have that shiny problem!! I have a funny shaped head never had short hair but I'm going through the change of life my grade has changed and breakage is crazy right now I have to at least cut it down a whole lot
I'm watching from Trinidad and Tobago. I've been following your journey. Great results 👏🏾
Seeing your growth inspired me and I have already made provisions to contact my local dermatologist. I am watching from The Bahamas.
I’m watching from the British Virgin Islands 🇻🇬 Watching your journey with your edges has finally given me the push I needed to start taking the proper steps to get mine together and I’ve booked my first dermatologist appointment. Can’t wait to see what’s up next!
Omg keep us updated!! 💕 🥹🥹🥹
So happy for you!!
Beautiful, woah baby girl you have really tried. The result is fulfilling. Watching from Nigeria.
Congratulations always been beautiful, now you encouraged me to not give up on my edges!
don’t give up, consistently is key!! 💕
Beautiful results, thanks for sharing your journey. Very useful to know.
Girl you are the best 😢❤. I too have a edges problem. I may have to go do my shots 😅 and keep up treatments...
I’m watching from Houston, Texas! I’m so impressed by the progress on your edges!!! They’re really coming in beautifully. Your hair looks amazing! ❤❤❤ Kudos on your consistency and dedication to your hair.

Thank you!! 🥹
I am so happy your video pop up on my feed today. My sister sometimes ask about you because we used to watch your videos together. Congrats from South Africa.
This made me smile 🥹😭 I appreciate you both 💕
I’m going to my dermatologist! Watching this made me not dread what they say or suggest. My edges are thinning, and it took collecting photos to realize it. So nothing tooooo crazy , but I’m worried about genetic influences! I’m going to make that appointment
Congrats!! So happy for your progress! Best wishes
Thank you so much I am experiencing so issue with my right side I will be reaching out to my dermatologist and trying other remedies God bless you girl

It’s 6:42 for me! 😍 Tami, this is inspiring!! 🎊 To have been here since the beginning and see how far you’ve come… Your perseverance has paid off. Wow! Congratulations on your progress and giving hope to many who may be dealing with a similar issue. You go girl! 🥳🎉🥰✨

I can’t believe there’s hope for me, thank you!
This is amazing!!! And very informative. Congrats on the progress
Thank you! I’ve been following you and now about to start my edge growth journey. I have baby hair now and I think it’s from Mary Ruths Vitamins. I showed my dermatologist your bottle yesterday and the compound pharmacist called me for payment ($45) and it’s on the wayyyyyyy today! I did start my shots yesterday also. I’m going to take before and after pics also! I’m so excited! Thank you for sharing your beautiful journey! ❤
We’re literally doing the exact same things!!! $45’s is a STEAL!!! I love it!!! And I JUST ordered Mary Ruth’s! I was going to do a 30 day challenge. I’m so proud of you!!!! You really went all in on your journey!!! 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 keep me updated!!
@@tamithecreator awwww thank you. ☺️ 🙏🏾 your story was amazing!
Great job. Is the results lasting? And where did you get the oil concoction from? I need help. My edges are so thin. Also when I use oil on my scalp my shake comes out like sheds but when I don’t it doesn’t
You already know I love your follow up videos. This is another reason why I’m definitely choosing orders for Florida; I need to see your Dr. Your edges look good. I’m watching from SD; California at 0216. ❤
I dear i love you're jounery you literally give me hope as am currently facing the same situation but am gonna definitely visit the dermo
Made my day to see you made a new video!!!
WOW!!! Watching your video from NYC. Thanks for sharing your journey.
I haven't seen my natural hairline in years and forgot how low it goes...😂😂 I think I caught my coworker (female) say I look "hairy" because I guess she never seen me or anyone with a low hairline that wasn't a wig with those weird "baby hairs."
But anywho, my right side had that same shiny slick spot exactly where yours is, and i thought mine wasn't going to grow either, but both sides are flourishing.
What is the Hairclub? And what treatments/procedures did you do to grow yours back?
Where is the hair club
I love you were truthful it took 2 years because I have been consistent for 1 month and I'm already discourages
The first 3 months of my journey I regretted everything and just wanted to perm my hair again 😭 it takes patience but I’m at the 2.5 year mark and my edges haven’t looked this good since I was in high school
This is so inspiring ❤️. Started following the first day i stumbled on your videos. Watching from Nigeria.
You are making amazing progress. I'm watching from Florida 🌞
I am happy for you...Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
Watching from Namibia (South West of Africa)... I'm so impressed with the growth of your edges, I'm literally just starting to grow my edges as of today and find your content useful in what I want to achieve. I want to open up a salon for naturals and edge victims if I can just get it right, here in my country, and that win would come in handy. 🙃😇
I lost my edges from a sewn! I am watching from Syracuse, New York! Godnight 😘
Watching from Belize 🇧🇿 . Been tuned into this journey from d start (i cut mine not too long after u cut urs due to damage as well) and always looking forward to new videos. ❤
