This is actually far more complex and interesting of a situation then the original as both the helldiver and the charger are stuck in a seemingly endless cycle of charging dodging and shooting so close to killing each other yet never quite there truly beautiful and thought provoking art here
If you're not aware, after the first shot you only have to charge it up around 65% to get full damage. After that first shot, you're able to spam it pretty effectively and kill Chargers before they're able to slam into you. It also has more range than you'd expect.
Pro tip: dont dive against chargers (or really, any bug except in absolute dive or die situations). You can actually avoid the charge completely by running perpendicular to him. Remember to adjust your angle as he does so you remain running perpendicular, in a kind of arc. That way you wont be in a vulnerable state and can get many more shots on him, plus he will never punish it with an instant body slam stomp combo.
For anyone who doesn't know, the flamesprayer can kill them in just a few seconds. Focus your spray on one of the front legs for like 2 or 3 seconds and it dies. Now of course, if you're being swarmed that'll be difficult to pull off.

i’m seeing an extraction beacon, but that’s a berserker charger that can only be found on the mission “Kill Charger,” in which is main objective before being able to extract
Fun fact: charger butts barely take damage with non-explosive weapons, but if you get them in the face with the arc thrower you can kill them in 6-7 shots! One must presume Sisyphus had a skill issue
that helldiver is deffinetly a cadet cause an experienced helldivers knows that frying the brain with the arc thrower was the best solution at least when using an arc thrower
For arc thrower aim for their head fellow divers, goes through the armor there and if done right can call in as little as 8 shots (if each hits the head exactly)

I had a mission me and a friend dove on, and it took somewhere about 5 EAT-17 rounds to kill it. We thought it was bugged (pun intended) before it went down to the 5th. So, I feel this, for how tanky they are. Oh, poor brave Helldiver... if only you had time to realize the solution you needed was nearby all along, in the cold dead grasp of a fallen friend. I wonder if anyone else noticed either...
You can shoot the arc thrower way faster after the first time charging to full. So this scene would be really easy, especially when aiming near the head.
Evade the Charger by matador'ing it or letting it run into something, then create as much distance as you can, and aim for headshots with the Arc Thrower. Shoot the head 6 times. After the first fully charged shot, you don't have to charge all the way anymore, in fact you can almost shoot twice as fast if you've got the timing right
They are fun….. on weak bug missions. Work on bot but the lesser armor dudes eat blasts. Devastators I think? Otherwise for bot missions just use AM rifle, laser cannon, or Auto. For bug for use expen, flame, and all backpacked support weapons (except stinger)
As someone who has solo'd several (like maybe 5 or 6, but not all at onece, like 2 or three were on my tail at any given point) chargers with just the Arc Thrower one time while working my way to the group.... He's doing it wrong, Like actual Skill Issue... It is a funny animation tho, and still relatable as hell

Basically sums up trying to kill chargers or hulkers with arc thrower.
That's because you don't use it right
It's like 6-8 headshots to kill and you can get 2-3 off with each charge

Here's the trick with arc thrower, use it on the head, not the butt, takes 7 headshot to kill but some might connect with other body parts
