I'll be honest I don't think Miura was ever intending on truly concluding the manga(despite what he said about it being 75% complete). There was just too many hiatuses and when he returned, we got a bunch of filler.

Perhaps he discovered that he honestly didn't know how to end it, George RR Martin is in a similar position right now with his ASOIAF novels. Also upon his passing his colleagues didn't find any manuscripts for further issues.

It's not that easy to judge imho. I'm not the "Griffith did nothing wrong" guy, but I don't agree that saying that he sacrificed his friends for power is exactly correct.
@Frax While the idea of evil has control over things, the things that happen are because of the people choosing it. Flora makes this point clear. Griffith wanted to sacrifice it's not like he was forced to do it. Not directly atleast, Godhand did exploit his weakened state, but as shown by the count you can refuse. The reason he didn't is because his dream was more important to him.

Can we all appreciate how legitimately good this is? Because seriously. If the 'wasure wa shinai' bits didn't have the pepe face on the behelit, they would probably give me chills, and they still kind of do. The memes in this are brilliant, but the transition from the eclipse to the hill of swords is a masterpiece homage to Berserk, and the feelings that that transition gives me, what it represents, is just amazing. This is just straight up awesome, and one of the best things the Berserk fandom has produced.
I am sure that Miura sensei would lol'd on the floor watching this. It's situations like these you can truly see the love of the art creator's joke has, when so much detail and effort went into a simple fun.
Day 107 watching this video... Morning around here came by and I rushed to read 364. It was sudden and perfect, even though my experience reading it first time wasn't the best one. Moving on, the chapter was full of sweet moments, the first segment giving a small participation of the party and thr debunking of Schierke's supposition, that we honestly knew that wasn't true at all lol. Next, them all together, doing everyday things, and you feel sad for Guts, the chapter even parallels with when Casca was away from him, training both for necessity and for escapism, also showing that Guts will depend on the armor from now on. Then, the moony boy appears again and cheers Guts a bit, playing knights with little sticks. Then, the days come and go until the chapter's ending. They're all there. Griffith, Guts and Casca. Seeing each other again since the hill of the swords. The second hand emotion hits Griffith, provoking a single teardrop, like the morning dew. It was so beautiful, even without music like I used to use to read during my first time, I felt it hard. I teared up as well... I hope Kentarou Miura his rest For the Studio Gaga, their best And for everyone involved, from the production to the embracing community, a real thank you, for everything, and a good day!

I first watched this about a week or two ago and knew nothing about berserk or the plot, for all I knew it was a group of warriors that traveled around trying to kill monsters with the main character having badass armor that made him go berserk. Then my friend sent me a TWENTY ONE HOUR VIDEO from thealmightyloli that breaks down the entire series and watching this now I understood almost ALL of the references. It's worth noting I'm only 13 hours in of the full 21. Do I regret my decision? Absolutely not.

I've heard dark souls 3 has the eclipse which is cool, and I've noticed some inspirations from Berserk for the boss designs in dark souls 1. Unfortunately I can't play bloodborne though, I don't have a PlayStation.

Can we all appreciate how legitimately good this is? Because seriously. If the 'wasure wa shinai' bits didn't have the pepe face on the behelit, they would probably give me chills, and they still kind of do. The memes in this are brilliant, but the transition from the eclipse to the hill of swords is a masterpiece homage to Berserk, and the feelings that that transition gives me, what it represents, is just amazing. This is just straight up awesome, and one of the best things the Berserk fandom has produced.

Morning around here came by and I rushed to read 364. It was sudden and perfect, even though my experience reading it first time wasn't the best one. Moving on, the chapter was full of sweet moments, the first segment giving a small participation of the party and thr debunking of Schierke's supposition, that we honestly knew that wasn't true at all lol. Next, them all together, doing everyday things, and you feel sad for Guts, the chapter even parallels with when Casca was away from him, training both for necessity and for escapism, also showing that Guts will depend on the armor from now on. Then, the moony boy appears again and cheers Guts a bit, playing knights with little sticks. Then, the days come and go until the chapter's ending. They're all there. Griffith, Guts and Casca. Seeing each other again since the hill of the swords. The second hand emotion hits Griffith, provoking a single teardrop, like the morning dew. It was so beautiful, even without music like I used to use to read during my first time, I felt it hard. I teared up as well...

I first watched this about a week or two ago and knew nothing about berserk or the plot, for all I knew it was a group of warriors that traveled around trying to kill monsters with the main character having badass armor that made him go berserk. Then my friend sent me a TWENTY ONE HOUR VIDEO from thealmightyloli that breaks down the entire series and watching this now I understood almost ALL of the references. It's worth noting I'm only 13 hours in of the full 21. Do I regret my decision? Absolutely not.
