There’s definitely an animated continuation of the story, after the Eclipse, in 2017, as well as a re-done version of the original animated arcs that preceded it, in 2016.
The animation in the 2017 Berserk is kind of a funky blend of animation and CGI, but it’s still a stellar interpretation of the Greatest Story Ever Told…

I love the distorted ‘Gats’ theme. It’s almost like it changed with the eclipse too.
It's beautiful. The distorted theme makes the Golden Age arc sound like a distant memory.

Holy shit, you nailed it: the tone, the palette, the pacing - even the jank. 10/10.
The "jank", as you said, is what makes this really special in my eyes. It's such a fascinating phenomenon how its flaws somehow make it feel better quality and more "genuine". It's the kind of thing I miss in a lot of modern animation.

its a little rough around the edges, but this project has soul and you can feel it when you watch it. also very good job fixing the puck plot-hole. it was always going to be a little weird shoving him in, but this scene honestly makes the most sense. obviously takes a lot of work to get something this good and i hope the work continues to go well for ya. this felt genuine. maybe some day since the big studios wont do it, we can have the fans just do it themselves and we'll get to the beauty that is conviction, millennium falcon war, and Fantasia in its proper context.

"highly paid" is a very peculiar word, since the individuals are rarely ever making bank over in the anime industry. It's notoriously backbreaking levels of exhaustion
Berserk is one of the hardest manga to adapt into an anime. I don't blame studios for not wanting to attempt another adaptation, especially after the 2017 anime.

It was too big to be called a fan project. A massive undertaking, thick brush strokes, heavy material and far too rough. Indeed, it was a heap of raw passion.
ARCHE, you along with AllinAll, were the ones who best captured the essence of Berserk perfectly in their fan animations without a doubt.
Surely there will be other fan projects that are possibly more set to the modern-anime style that surely would have more buzz with the public in general, but don't let that discourage you from continuing this extraordinary project.
Personally I think it is the most exact, ambitious and with the best quality of all the fan works, representing in every detail (literally!) the true essence of Berserk manga as it should really be brought to the world...
So please keep going no matter what, this is beyond extraordinary and personally, THIS is the REAL Berserk.

The amount of effort put into this project is crazy, considering it is a fan project. MAN THE ACTION SCENES, THE DETAILS IN EACH DRAWING, THE ANIMATION, THE SOUNDTRACK, even the dubs were all superb.
This is just the result of the love from a group of fans to a beloved piece of art, all thanks to Miura for giving us such masterpiece, and obviously thanks to team ARCHE for giving us the honor of witnessing and enjoying of such media.

The animation has that 97 look and feel while still being modern. This was amazing.
Actually, on the contrary, this feels like it would've came during the time Berserk 97 came out. Definitely feels like a pilot that didn't see the like of day. Love it.
A lot of hard work has been done on just one series.... I can't even imagine how long it took. But it's amazing! The style is very similar to the original '97 anime. Your work is what I wanted from season 2 of Berserk. Not what it ended up being... I mean the 3D version of Berserk. It's terrible :D

Really loved how you had Puck use the phrase “you don’t care as long as you get to swing your sword around” which is Casca’s line verbatim from the original English dub. It creates a continuity in the dialogue and makes this feel like a real sequel. Great work!

@@holhorse6367 I dont even mind the clang as much as Guts face in 2016 looking like a damn mannequin most of the time. In this time period, Guts aint exactly talking about his feelings much, but his facial expressions are supposed to tell that hes feeling for the most part and 2016 just utterly failed in that regard. he looks like an actual person here....its so good

Yeah this adaptation is a straight up horror masterpiece, it made a simple enemy like the skelettons much more tense, it really feels like one of those 90's best OVA.
There's just something about the old 90s animes that modern animes lack. I don't know how to describe it.
