Thanks for mentioning wiping leaks. You are the first person I’ve heard mention it. I’ve been trying to resolve that because I was considering it a leak. So I see now that this is rather normal.

I'm new to cups... I use a salt soft with a C-fold and I found that if you bear down and twist or turn your cup around at the same time it opens more easily .

I just bought the Merula XL and I’m worried about the stem and lack of suction holes but also excited to try it for my heavy flow. It’s what came up for me on the quiz. Cost me 93 dollars with shipping and duties from Germany so fingers crossed cuz the diva cup always leaks.

My cup worked reliably for over a decade, than started leaking recently. Tried the a new cup in same brand & size thinking it was maybe too old and lost elasticity - nope, new one still leaking.
I then measured my cervix height and found the culprit. My cervix (which is normally quite high) decided to hang really low at the beggining of my period during my heavy days and the cup was sudenly too tall for it.
Managed to temporarily solve the issue by digging up a small size cup I had around and changing it hourly on my heavy days.
Which led me to your channel to see what low-cervix high-capacity cup options were out there now. Wasn’t keen on any as I like softer cups and need way bigger capacity than available in low cervix options, but in the process I got intrigued by reusable discs so now I am awaiting my first menstrual disc in the post. Wish me luck!

Hi Kim, thank you for this video. I have never thought of tugging down on the cup and I've been using mine for 9 years now! I recently tried to use a disc but didn't go very well; it seemed to be getting caught on my anterior fornix. Would you consider doing a Disc Troubleshooting video in the future? Love your content and glad I found your new channel.

Not to say you have to buy and try another thing, but if you haven't tried a menstrual disc it's worth exploring. I do hear so many stories of people who never got along with their cup despite trying it ALL who succeeded with a disc since they are such different products in where they sit/how they work.

Using cup for almost a year and have slight leakage , I would go fix it a little bit and then it's ok , it happens usually in the first day and kinda stressful , when it happens I think of going back to pads but I really hate it 😂 , so still sticking on to cups ..I took the niravana period quiz and my suitable cup is Lily cup , it's costly for me so I'm gonna save up and buy it soon 🥲

OMG!!!! I too have experienced this. It's almost every time I wake up i would have to readjust the cup so it wouldn't leak all over my panties. And if it leaks....it's sooo messy as the collected blood just pours out. It's sooo frustrating.
I wonder if it is because of the cups or my technique? The problem started only a few months ago (using cup for almost a year) that this kinda leakage issue began.

The first cup j bought, ill say A was soo horrible
I bought it in s, it had only s and l. I leaked everytime. Had to use pads and it wasn't smooth
I then bought another, B which was soo cool. I didn't leak, well i used some of these techniques. But one thing, its xs
On my heavy days i change it up to 5 times which is so annoying
Im now thinking of going back to A😅
And im looking for tips to make A work for me, by force

Another notable thing is after having babies your vaginal walls can change. Many women have a prolapse without realizing it.
My cup worked well until I birthed my third baby. My organs were all over the place and I was so stressed about it. I went to physiotherapy and it helped. Highly recommend going for physiotherapy after each pregnancy! Regardless of my prolapse improving, I had leaking all the time. I had to relearn how to use the cup with my new version of my body. I used to do c-fold and now to punch down. It has helped so much.
Excited to try a disc next.

Quick question. What will happen if you have a high cervix and you place the cup not directly under the cervix but around the middle of the vaginal canal? (Cup is entirely inside the vagina but rim is still about an inch away from the cervix)

My cervix height is all over the place and I wear a low cervix cup, specifically because I was looking for a cup where my cervix dips inside and sits in the vaginal fornix for comfort reasons so it doesn’t hurt my cervix. The cup i currently wear is cotton mermaid guppy size one in soft and it’s perfect in terms of comfort and great for light flow days since it holds 15ml. I do have to reach for it but I don’t mind doing that when showering. I learned that a 45mm diameter for a menstrual cup is great for me, so you could look for a long high cervix cup that has a similar diameter. I’m waiting for my hello disc to come in so it could tackle other issues I’m having, such as low capacity, reach issues, and mess free removal. Hope this helps
