I had the hardest time with my flex cup and after watching this video I bought the hello disc (now available in black!) and I am so overjoyed at how easy it was to insert, remove, and it is so comfortable and did not leak! Thank you so much! I am so excited to have a reusable period product solution that is easy and works! ❤❤️❤️
If only hello and flex had a baby and had a disc that makes it not only easy to remove but also easy to insert and made it even better by going a couple shader darker?
Girl you are dominating period social media, every search I've made, you pop up with multiple vids of perfectly relevant, educational content thank u 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@PeriodNirvana Hey Nirvana, do you ship Hello disc and Flex disc to India...?? I have tried Applicator tampons - Worked for me! Tried using cup - It was super hard to insert, I couldn't insert it due to it's width - Even after trying many folds... Thinking of trying Discs - It looks thinner and easier to Insert...Will it work for me?
I love the Diva Disc. I switched from the Nixit to the Diva disc, and it fixed all my issues with the nixit. I thought I was gonna hate that it was smaller but it fits so much better and the leak-proof rim givs me so much security and confidence
Not just that, difficulty to clean can also mean that you think you washed it properly but maybe missed a bit that you reinsert with the disk or cup. That just feels like a recipe for bacterial vaginosis, a yeast infection or worse.
Wwwwwwwooww 😮😊 thank you for the raw and uncut footage of the disc filled removed etc. I never tried these first month trying period panties so I’m searching 👀 around for good reviews
This year, I started with the Diva Cup and it was frustrating and painful. My second try, after some quiz-taking and seeing what was available immediately (the need was NOW), I moved to the Flex Cup, and was quite surprised! It works well for me, even when I go swimming. And what are these things in the box? Discs? Well, let’s give those a try… wow! So, in another moment of need and after another quiz, I got a Saalt reusable disc. It’s working great for me! I may try out a Hello later, but I am so glad I discovered this community and alternatives to the “big name.”
This is wild because I started following you based on your review of the disposable Flex discs. That’s what made me try them and fall in love with discs, because cups don’t work for me. But I’m wearing your Hello disc right now 😂 Full circle (see what did there? 😊)
I got the saltt a few months ago and having a disc has changed my life…buttttt I’m going to get the hello. It is the most difficult to take out. I think I have a high pubic bone, but the notch does nothing. It’s comfortable, but messy like you said. I have to move my hand awkwardly to get my finger over the rim to pull it out. I think your rank for it was just. I’m so glad you exist because you have taught me so much
The HELLO disc is the best period product I've ever tried as well!! Not one single accident and the most comfortable disc/cup ever. I love it. True "period Nirvana"
I bought the flex disc several months ago, and I really like it. The only thing I don't like is how messy it is. It would be nice is it had a notch. I tried cups first, but I kept dropping them in the toilet, and I had a lot of other problems with then as well. But after switching to disc's, I haven't had any problems. I used to have leaking from time to time, but after watching your videos, I learned to push it behind the pelvic bone, and it hasn't leaked since.
Kim, have you ever tried removing a disc by hooking your finger up and over the rim (ie. your finger ends up inside the disc)? You do have to twist your wrist a bit to achieve. This is how I remove my Lumma disc. The string was so uncomfortable so I cut it off, and I found it hard to try and hook under the rim or to try and pinch it to remove. It is a bit more messy, but I found it so much easier. Maybe a useful technique for others as well?
that doesn't work for me because of the position of my pubic bone and how prominent it is, I have to pull downward from underneath. It's a good strategy for others if they struggle but that will definitely create more mess versus pulling from below the disc.
I have to get my thumb over the rim of my Saalt Disc as well to remove every month! I haven't used my Lumma Disc extensively, but the few times I tried it the string was uncomfortable for me too (even though it's so convenient 😞.) Relying on just the notch hasn't worked in my experience because my pubic bone area is kinda fleshy; it just won't let the disc out unless I firmly grab it out, lol! I'm right there with you @PrairieEss ☺️
That’s how I remove my flex disc. I don’t care about the mess since it auto dumps and when it’s time to take it out I’m already at home. A great improvement to my life.
I had to do that with my Saalt disc only because it had rotated after sex and it was the ONLY way I could remove it. It was difficult and annoying. Would much rather want something to grab, but I think the string on the lumma disk would be annoying too.
I find it strange a lot of cups and discs are light in color especially since staining happens. Makes sense to have a black or dark color one so staining won't be as noticeable.
I should have watched this before wasting money. I thought the diva mini disc was going to change my life. Only added crisis points. Major leaks out of no where. So! Don't buy that one ladies - this review is true, the exact things you think will work are the things that make it fail you. I don't actually think this one would work for anyone. I will definitely never consider the ones voted even worse than this one.
Thanks for the video... the first and only cup I've ever used was the Kind cup, and I had the same experiences. It slipped out of me pretty quickly, and that was a very uncomfortable experience. I assumed the same issue would be present in any other cup, so I haven't tried to look into other alternatives, but your video says otherwise. Thank you for all of this good information!!
I absolutely love the Hello Disc! It works like a dream!! But... I find it puts pressure on my bladder make it a little difficult to go. I'm thinking it's just a tad too big for me. I had to switch back to the Cora Disc which I think it's a smidge smaller; but a lot harder to remove.
@@Harlow_Khmer Honestly, I super recommend it. I've never had kids and it does feel a pinch too big for me but I totally prefer it over tampons. It took me about 4-5 cycles to really get the hang of it. I really like the removal tab on the hello disc. :) I would test it out during the weekends or maybe 1/2 a day just to make sure I had an exit plan if I put it in wrong. lol Which only happened on the first try. I also have a reversed uterus so I have to make sure I place it in a certain way to make sure my cervix is covered. Her anatomy videos helped a lot. But I totally recommend it!!
@@MabelGls thanks for taking the time to respond to me! I really appreciate the info!! I most likely will be starting my next period around the 21st of this month so I better make a decision on a brand for a cup and disc. I'm not sure which one will work for me so I'm debating on the hello disc and the diva cup. I just worry about wasting money on trying to find the right brand and fit. I'm a weirdo and don't want to touch my cervix for some dumb reason. It just freaks me out. I totally had the chance to measure it last month when on my period but I was too scared to. 😂
Thank you so much for your review on all the cups, disks etc.. it was straight to the point and informative. I think I will try the hello disc.. I'll send a review when I try it out.
I have only used the flex and sometimes it's hard to get out if my nail is too short🤦🏽♀️ so excited to try the Hello. Thank you for all your reviews very helpful. I still can only remove in the shower ... help 😔😫😁
I tried my first one today 😩😩😩😩 it was so hard getting it in. Then it like floated away… meaning I can’t even feel it anymore. I’m about to try to remove it. Diva cup. So far, not leaking
I just tried my first one as well today, about a half hour ago 😂 it was easy getting it in for me (sorry you had a struggle! They are quite intimidating!) and I don’t feel it inside me at all. However I have know idea if it’s going to leak or if I have created a seal. If you happen to see this comment, how has using the Diva Cup gone for you? Are you still using it or have you switched to another brand/kind? 😊❤
Luneale/La cup is amazing! No other cup or disc has worked for me. The luenale cup is super soft, has no annoying stem and no leaks. All other period products have caused cramps for me or leaked. Totally recommend trying it!
I adore my Hello disc. After trying the Cora, Lumma H, and Lumma M and being dissatisfied, I never thought I’d like any other disc. I was so wrong! It truly is the best period product I’ve ever tried, and I’ve tried many a-menstrual cup that I ended up liking
What didn't you like about the other ones? I'm new to these and not sure if one brand of disc will be too big or small for me. I've seen some reviews where women love it and others said the hello disc was too big. I love that it has the pull tab though so I'm tempted to buy it. Just not sure if it's gonna be too big or not.
@@Harlow_Khmer Period Nirvana also has a quiz for you to take to find a cup that works for you. It gives you the top 3 recommendations. If you get nothing else out of it, you'll be taught to measure your cervix, and base your recommendations from there. But honestly, the best way to know what works for you is to go out and try it. Also to reviews that complain about size, a couple things could be happening: they have an exceptionally small fornix or low cervix, or they may prefer a more snug fit around their cervix. So that's something to keep in mind.
@@BKStarlet08 thanks so much for the info! I'm thinking of trying that Cora brand because they have a comfort fit guarantee. So at least I won't be wasting money if it doesn't work out for me. Just not sure if I should try a Cora cup or Cora disc. I'm scared of not being able to get them out cuz I read reviews a lot and a lot of women had issues with not being able to reach the cup or disc hahaha so that kind of freaks me out
@@Harlow_Khmer Unfortunately, my other discs would randomly auto-dump. I physically could not go a few hours without my Lummas randomly leaking, and it was so disappointing. I had more luck with the Cora, which also seemed to fit me a little better, but again, it would randomly auto-dump. For some reason the Hello disc just works for me. The pull tab honestly is really great :) Also, if you want to go with the Cora for that comfort fit guarantee, I say go for it! I haven’t tried the cup, but I will say that learning how to get the disc out takes some practice. I also bought the Cora before they added the suction holes, so I don’t know how those work lol
Just found your channel. I have a tilted cervix. Inserting tampons was always difficult and uncomfortable until a friend told me her Secret. Standing up and bending over until my head is almost between my legs LOL is the most comfortable way to insert. I'd love to start using cups, but I wonder if I should use a specific one because of this?
The Hello Disc didn’t work too well for me. The Diva Disc worked much better and is currently my go to. The Kind Cup (s) seemed to not seal properly and leaked for me. The regular size was far too large (width and length).
Why didn't the hello disc work for you? What made the diva disc better? I've never tried any disc or cup but definitely interested in both the hello disc and diva disc. Just not sure which one to buy or if I should buy them both.
Same. Hello was hard to insert and the loop was uncomfortable in both flipped and tucked configurations (flipped poked and sometimes in-flipped, tucked didn’t stay tucked and ended up dropped and chafing, and I didn’t try cutting a loop off). Diva is much easier for me to insert and the loop doesn’t chafe me. It doesn’t move around (loop stays in front), and removal hasn’t been very messy. Great experience with customer service too
This is interesting. I just found you because I’m trying a cup for the first time, and I searched trying to figure out why my La Cup doesn’t seem to open, no matter what I try.
Just started my period and inserted a disc for the first time. I guess we'll see how it goes 🤷♀️ I'm also pretty sick, so I have no idea if the violent coughing will have any effect.
Oh no. Coughing can be an issue depending on the firmness of the disc. I did cough so violently that my disc leaked once but it was a soft firmness disc. Hope you feel better
@@PeriodNirvana Oh man! No issues with the coughing, and this disc thing is an absolute game changer. It's honestly made being sick far more tolerable (and I _am_ feeling a bit better, thank you 😊). What I'm using right now is definitely super firm; I ordered a little pack of the Flex disposables just to see if discs would be right for me. I _love_ it. Can't believe it took me this long to try something like this (I'm in my 30s). I plan on buying the *Hello* now that I know I'm going to stick with the disc; everything about that design seems like it will be perfect for me. I know this comment is super long already but I also wanted to just say thank you _so_ much for everything you do. I've watched a ton of your videos and if it hadn't been for this channel, I wouldn't have even _considered_ changing my period products. It never would have crossed my mind, even though I was never really _happy_ with tampons in the first place. I had heard of cups in the past but always thought the idea seemed weird, so I never looked further into it (never heard of discs until now). But somehow I ended up on your channel, got sucked into a menstruation rabbit hole, and my life has now permanently changed for the better. 😁 So thank you ❤️
I’ve used Flex disc disposable, Lumma (M & S) discs, Cora regular, and Diva disc. Flex is just a tad too large for me. Leaks and doesn’t stay tucked. Lumma medium worked ok, but I’m not a huge fan of autodumping. Lumma small was too small and nearly suctioned itself onto my cervix. That was a very difficult removal 😂🤷🏻♀️ Cora doesn’t work for me at all. Leaks and gives me bladder pressure. I soooo wanted to like it cuz the material is so soft and nice. But tried it during 3 cycles and just can’t get it to work. It’s my least favorite of all the discs I’ve had Diva is my winner. The oval shape actually fits me really well. The autodump prevention is nice. Removal is a breeze. And it only leaks when it gets full. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one during their Black Friday sale! I like to have 2 discs so that I always have a clean one ready to go. I would have tried Hello, but given it’s the same size as the flex, I knew it would likely be too big. Would love to see a medium size like 65mm in diameter. Though I don’t think I’ll need to demo any more discs (unless you want to send me a free product for an honest review. Lol). I used cups off and on for years, but they give me bladder pressure, so I didn’t always feel like dealing with that. But after giving birth in 2021, tampons have become horribly painful to use. So I decided to experiment with discs. So happy to see there were so many options in discs now (there weren’t when I was trying cups 6 years ago). Your videos were so so helpful for me in picking what discs I did end up trying. Really appreciate your honest reviews. I recommend your channel and website often 💖
You forgot to say what size diva cup you use? I think I may need that same size. I tried an extra small/ teen size because I never have vaginal birth before. I've had babies but Im also small in size all around.
How did it get stuck? (I've never tried cups or discs and I'm just now learning about them. Still debating on what to try. Just nervous I'll waste a bunch of money through trial and error until I find the right one.
@@Harlow_Khmer I don't know about hers, but I was using a notched disc. The first time I went to pull it out, it had twisted around. I reached two fingers in there to pinch the bottom of it and pull it out. Tedious, but doable (helped that I was wearing gloves). I cleaned it and put it back, making sure it was in there with the notch facing correctly. I wish I hadn't. I can get my finger in the notch but it's so high up that I can't grab the lip and pull it out. And because of how the notch is designed, I can't get a hold of the bottom now either. It's just... up there. Another video says that it's probably sitting high because I was lying down. I need to move around for thirty minutes to see if gravity will bring it down. I'm very worried because I had already been up twenty minutes prior to trying. I love the disc, but I don't recommend the notched. This is horrible. Get one with the loops on it if you buy one. That's the one I will be trying next.
I cannot for the life of me get my cup out, my girlfriend had to get it out for me. It goes too far in and I can´t reach with my fingers, even pushing. What do I even do? There are no cup options where I´m from, only the one I got.
It sounds like you have a sky high cervix. I don't know which brand you're using but in your current situation try to squat in your tub or shower. This gets the cup lower. If you can't reach while squatting try pushing gently again but don't strain. If the cup is too well suctioned pushing may not help get it lower. Again - not sure which brand you have but you can reach out to customer support for more advice. Don't panic - being tense makes things worse. You want relaxed muscles. You could even try taking a bath to relax. In some cases letting the cup get more full can help it move farther down but you don't want to have it in much longer than the 12 hour max.
I tried a disk on my last cycle, and it worked well for me during the day while I was awake, but when I slept it would both flip upside down and rotate. Since it was my first disk I don't know why it flipped over, is it too small or too soft maybe? I also found that I must have a high cervix moreso than I thought because once it was rotated I couldn't use the loop to pull it out, and I also couldn't reach it with my thumb and finger to get a good grip on it since my thumb is too short. I could only reach it with my first and middle fingers and pull it in a scissor motion with much effort and many tries. I have trouble with lack of strength and inflammation in my hands so my whole hand and wrist were sore for the rest of the day, and I was too scared to try it again after that. I wanted to use a disk because I was scared of not being able to break the seal on a cup and pull it out with my hand issues, but I found out about the Flex cup so I'm planning to try that on my next cycle. I would still love to know if there might be another disk I could try out too, but I'm just not sure what direction to take since I don't know what caused the failure.
What would be best for the young ladies just starting the menstrual journey? I know she'll have to do the work, but curious as to your thoughts? Thank you for this info!
I wish the hello disk didn’t leak! 😢my second day is the heaviest. Im still not a pro at auto dumping. Sometimes i get a good full dump other days i don’t. That is my favorite feature and it is comfortable and easy to insert. I do feel theres a ton of suction at removal. Out of the diva and cora, experience i like cora but love self dump on the disk now.
I was using disc's almost 10 years ago when only disposables were available. I switched to cups about 7 years ago and love it. This new disc wave has me very intrigued. Is it worth trying the disc's when you're a happy cup user? Anyone with similar experience have tried these new disc's? Which is better in your opinion?
For me, the only real advantage of discs would be if I were planning to engage in 'activities' on my cycle (I never have so I don't know how the experience is). Cups are waaaay less messy for me to deal with, especially when you are away from home and don't have a sink within arm's reach. I also feel that they stay in place more securely for me.
You know how pooping is easier when you remove a cup, is it the same for a disk? I've never tried one and I'm curious if they disks get pushed down like cups do when you're going to the bathroom. So basically, should you remove a disk before a bowl movement too?
This sounds like you maybe have a cup that is too firm or too large for you? I've never had the issue where I couldn't have a bowel movement or struggled to have a bowel movement with my cup in and I don't push it out while having a movement either.
@@beardiemom My cup size is fine. It has never come out or anything like that. I just find it easier and more comfortable to go when I take it out first for whatever reason. I don't know haha
Ok my issue with discs is that they are so comfortable that I have forgotten about it not once but twice! Help. Is there any disc you can actually feel a bit just in hopes of not forgetting about it?
I’m super late to this video because I was pregnant and I breastfeed so I haven’t had a period in nearly 2 years but soon I’ll be done breastfeeding and should be expecting my period soon and I’m interested in trying discs and or cups . My only thing is I’ve always had a very heavy flow … Do you think the Hello Disc would still work well if my flow is heavy?
Back around 1966?? They came out with Tassaway. A cup that never gained in popularity. I remember a friend tried it. But I think the Museum of Menstration shows it.
I tried FLEX disposable disks years ago when they cane out, and did NOT like. Idk if there's some crazy curve or trick to how to insert thkse right, but I didn't even use the rest of them and removal was definitely not so easy
I have never used a reusable period product but am in the market - does the hello disk rotate and would that be bad compared to something like the flex cup which has no notches?
It's an evolving response and I've warmed more to them in the last year tbh. Initially when they launched their marketing was really negative against reusable period products before they had their own. As a reusable period products advocate I didn't love that... I have talked about that in the past and since I have, felt I should mention that evolving attitude in this video at least. They do make 2 good reusable period product options and I also added those to my store this year. Things change and companies/people change but it's my honest reaction to that brand. I can still say the products themselves are well designed and work for lots of people!
@@PeriodNirvana Thanks for explaining. Now I understand. Their disposable discs were really the opposite of the reusable products movement. I'm happy they developed reusable options. I now use the Flex reusable disc and I am sooo happy. It even works better than the Lumma disc high. Allows a longer wear time for me until I need to auto-dump on my heavy days. I would have tried the hello, but was worried that the loop would be annoying for me (had to cut off the string of the Lumma disc as it poked me) AND it was so much more expensive with shipping to Austria (EU). Flex was already expensive with shipping costs and customs fees. Hello disc was even more expensive. Would love to have discs like the Hello and Flex available within Europe!!!
Hey , can you make a video from cups available in india , they don't have much options and it's real confusin, + many brands ( like safe cup have very weird way of sizes) i am 16 and i have a high cervix, i have been using the plup teen cup but with my heavy flow it gets filled in 3 hrs and i wanted to switch to something i didn't had to change that quick and safe Cup's smallest size s is for people below 30 it's a 28 ml cup and on their amazon question box they replied that people my age can wear it.
Hey!! New here, and let me start off by saying... WHY COULDN'T THIS CHANNEL BE AROUND WHEN I WAS YOUNGER?!?!? Next, not sure if you have covered this topic or not(very new here), how do you feel about period panties? No matter which way I think about the idea it just scares me... thoughts 🤔
I agree! I know this is an old comment but maybe you will see it 😊 Like I feel like it’s a great idea in theory but I also feel like I’d feel like I’d be wearing a diaper 😂😂 maybe they’d be good to use in conjunction with a tampon/disc/cup but you could just use regular panties with a pad for extra protection. But wearing anything with the period panties kinda defeats the purpose, no?
Period panties have their pros and cons. The biggest con, imo, is that they aren't as durable as cups, discs or even reusable pads and need to be replaced within two-ish years, while you also pay *way* more for a set of panties than you would for a cup or disc that can last you up to 10 years, since you need to buy enough to last you through your period. Also, every pair I found says to cold-wash them, because otherwise the fabric loses its elasticity, so you definitely can't boil to sanitize them like you can other reusable products.
Sorry i have questions regarding the use of a menstrual disc and idk who to ask so if you, or any other watcher of this channel, can answer me, it would help me so much. I watched all your videos as I was looking for a cheaper and environmentally friendly alternative to tampons, so i decided to buy a menstrual disc. I took your website’s test when choosing the disc and used your tutorials when inserting it, but i have only one issue, and i don’t see anybody talking ab it so idk what to do So I bought the lumma disc size S, & i inserted it correctly, because i checked and i tucked it properly behind the pubic bone, my cervix is inside it (i checked), i touched all the borders and its in place, the problem is the round part/“cup” part thats underneath the rim/border, it doesn’t open properly in the round shape, its like folded in itself a bit. This is my third change during this period, each time i tried with my finger to get it to open more, but it’s like when i create the eight shape during insertion, the cup part folds itself towards the inside following the eight shape i fold it in, and when i have put it in, it doesn’t expand/unfolds itself properly because the walls of the vagina from underneath kinda keep that space not “deep” enough and push it in itself. The only part that unfolds & permits the blood to be contained, is the part that has the vaginal canal below so there is no vaginal wall stopping it. I thought, as the blood would pour in, the weight of the blood would help the disc take the same shape it has when its outside the vagina, and therefore permit the full capacity of it, but it didn’t and instead the blood started getting out when the capacity of the “punched-in” (sorry idk in what way to describe it) shape was finished. I think it didnt even reach 1/3 of the capacity it’s supposed to have. Even from watching the video tutorials, it seems as if the vagina walls would shape themselves around the form of the disc, instead in my case it seems as if the walls and the insertion process are shaping the disc. So… anybody has any tips? Did i make a mistake in inserting it? Do i have the wrong size/disc and maybe another size, brand or type of disc would have fit me better? Also to give further context. I am a virgin, 21 years old, first time menstrual disc user and never used a menstrual cup, usually i use tampons, medium height cervix and i don’t have a tilted cervix. My flow is considered medium or light. The diameter/circumference of the lumma disc S seems to fit me as I comfortably tucked it behind the pubic bone and behind the cervix, the rim itself adhered well to the vagina walls, after each use i had to untuck the disc from behind the pubic bone so i dont think the issue was it slipped in my vaginal canal. Also i have been working in a standing position during the use, so it cannot be possible that the spill was caused by auto-dumping happening. It is also not a small spill, i had the disc in for 10 hours (the capacity is supposed to be 12 hours) & i had put a pad for safety reasons and the pad ended up full, so that’s a lot of blood that wasn’t contained. The disc wasnt even 1/5 full due to the folds. And my flow is not heavy, I usually change a tampon/pad every 8-10 hours during my heaviest day. I’m so confused if this is normal, and for discs, capacity-wise, i have to take into consideration the anatomy and depth of the upper part of the vagina where the disc sits…. or if instead the disc is supposed to unfold into its proper form…. somebody help plsss idk anybody irl who uses a disc so i cannot ask anybody around me! & sorry for the massive TMIs and detailed descriptions
You can always look for other user reviews here on YT and product reviews. My channel only shares my vagina's experience so it's always going to reflect my own anatomy and POV when it comes to reviews. Discs designed for a high cervix will have some sort of removal air. Lumma Disc size High has a string to make reaching easier. Hello Disc has a tab that extends longways if desired as one of the positions to work for a high cervix.
I really want to love hello disc but it couldn't work out for me. The loop was sooo painful especially when the disc spinned a little bit inside my body. I trimmed 1 ring which did get better but when it scratched in certain angle it hurt really bad
I've only used the LENA cup and been great, definitely leaks sometimes, n I lost the large one when I moved so I'm exploring things before buying the same thing.
How is the hello disc for exercise I do jujitsu just started and not sure which one is best and I have heavy flow first 24-48 then go to about 15 ml every 4 -6 hours so could probably go longer. But my cup block my urine off . Any suggestions ?
I didn't even know cups and disc existed 😶🌫️🤯 I'm totally new to this, but I'm interested to test out the cup. I have no idea about sizes, but according to instructions, I should go for large 🤔 I'm 38y, I gave vaginal birth 18y ago 😁, soooo... I think my cup should be large 🤔 now my question, I have a IUD inside my uterus, can the cups mess around with the device???! 🤔 thats the only thing holding me back from buying a cup
It is a consideration. I have some factual information about risks of using a cup with an IUD on this page: www.periodnirvana.com/iud It can be done if you're comfortable with the concept and understand there could be risks. If you prefer something with lower risk menstrual discs are similar to cups but don't have suction. There is a lot of misinformation about cups and IUD's so definitely check out that link and decide what feels best for you.
I have only ever used the diva cup. I really enjoy it though. Edited to ask,: what is "slipping"? My cup gets rather low and sits partially outside (ish) of my vagina lol iìiìiiiiiiiiiiidk dudes.
Always hate the idea of the tampon such waste & messy./Not a good idea for All ♻︎⇣ ◎Reusable comfortable designed cup/disc cool 4 ♀︎• I have used it since they started “) 🫧Wish for more new design.
I'm still experimenting on how to get rid of the scrunching with the saalt disc too. What I do is I keep adjusting the "bason" part of the disc until the area under the notch is smooth. When it is, that's how you know it's fitted properly.

I love the Diva Disc. I switched from the Nixit to the Diva disc, and it fixed all my issues with the nixit. I thought I was gonna hate that it was smaller but it fits so much better and the leak-proof rim givs me so much security and confidence
I can only use the diva disc or any small disc or cups on my last Two days I need the large disc nixit or ant large disc the first two days
Tfs! I ordered it on black Friday, still waiting though ;(. But can't wait to try
@Selina Li Christmas time is hard stuff will be late sadly
@Selina Li it's took me two weeks to get my ziggy cup 2 and free gift and balmy so I also think they wear re stocking the diva disc I saw
@@Selsmittenxo I ordered mine on Nov. 16th, and it's coming tomorrow. Not only that, my period JUST ended 😭😭😭
Difficulty to clean should definitely be in the ranking! If something is hard to clean you are less likely to use it.
I may try out a Hello later, but I am so glad I discovered this community and alternatives to the “big name.”
i noticed more cramps with the flex cup vs the diva cup for whatever reason
I’m so glad you exist because you have taught me so much
I'm so glad I found your channel! Wasn't looking for it lol but this is something I have really interested in trying for many reasons
I haven't used my Lumma Disc extensively, but the few times I tried it the string was uncomfortable for me too (even though it's so convenient 😞.)
Relying on just the notch hasn't worked in my experience because my pubic bone area is kinda fleshy; it just won't let the disc out unless I firmly grab it out, lol!
Wanted to love the Hello disc but not for everyone. Hard to insert, popped out of place and only work on my very low days.
Yeah my hello disc is soo stained, but I still love it. I would definitely be interested in a darker color!
I've never tried any disc or cup but I'm really interested in the Hello Disc, I'm just nervous it'll be too big for me.
@@McMerlin11 I've been told my cervix is to the left haha so I don't know if that will factor into things
I love the La cup, but yes the holes are hard to clean.
Menstrual cups suction to the sides of your vaginal wall. Cervix placement is not important as long as it’s comfortably beneath it
The Hello Disc didn’t work too well for me.
Yes. Hello disc stain so badly and also it leaks sometimes for me
Just started my period and inserted a disc for the first time. I guess we'll see how it goes 🤷♀️
I'm also pretty sick, so I have no idea if the violent coughing will have any effect.
Oh no. Coughing can be an issue depending on the firmness of the disc. I did cough so violently that my disc leaked once but it was a soft firmness disc. Hope you feel better
@@PeriodNirvana
Oh man!
😁 So thank you ❤️
I absolutely adore my hello disc!!
That was a very difficult removal 😂🤷🏻♀️
Cora doesn’t work for me at all. Leaks and gives me bladder pressure. I soooo wanted to like it cuz the material is so soft and nice. But tried it during 3 cycles and just can’t get it to work. It’s my least favorite of all the discs I’ve had
Diva is my winner.
Diva is my winner as well. Love love love that disc. Doesn't leak and stays tucked behind my pubic bone the entire time in wearing it
You forgot to say what size diva cup you use? I think I may need that same size. I tried an extra small/ teen size because I never have vaginal birth before. I've had babies but Im also small in size all around.
I tried the salt disc and it got stuck, but the Diva disc is sooo amazing!
I'm trying to switch away from tampons and came across your video. Thank you so much!
Hello disk changed my life. I wish it had been available YEARS ago.
Can you do a financial break down as to why the hello disc is as expensive as it is?
What would be best for the young ladies just starting the menstrual journey? I know she'll have to do the work, but curious as to your thoughts? Thank you for this info!
"no footage" killed me 😂
I wish the hello disk didn’t leak!
If it’s over 50ml it leaks for me
I was using disc's almost 10 years ago when only disposables were available.
Can you feel the Hello Disc loops inside if you don’t tuck them under? They seem pretty wide
Is there a cup which has non matte silicon outside? I know cups have glossy silicon inside, but why not outside; seems to stain less.
I just got my ziggy cup 2 B and balmy and free gift so that or tampons this period what ever I'm in the mood lol
This might be a weird question but where can I find your glasses if you don't mind me asking? I'm obsessed!!
They’re from SEE Eyewear :)
The opening of my cervix is so low now that it sits in my cups. I don’t know if a disc would work ☹️
Wait a second, why dont you feel "warm and fuzzy" about Flex! I thought it was a good company 😵
I have never used a reusable period product but am in the market - does the hello disk rotate and would that be bad compared to something like the flex cup which has no notches?
Kim, why don't you feel very warm and fuzzy about the Flex company?
I took your website’s test when choosing the disc and used your tutorials when inserting it, but i have only one issue, and i don’t see anybody talking ab it so idk what to do
So I bought the lumma disc size S, & i inserted it correctly, because i checked and i tucked it properly behind the pubic bone, my cervix is inside it (i checked), i touched all the borders and its in place, the problem is the round part/“cup” part thats underneath the rim/border, it doesn’t open properly in the round shape, its like folded in itself a bit.
Off topic but I love your jacket!
When are the new cups coming? Is the old color going on sale upon release of new cup?
What is auto dump?
any reviews from high cervix person? From what I can get you have pretty low cervix so I imagine disc will be easy to remove
Is there a way to buy Hello disc from Italy? 🤔
RE: STAINS have you tried soaking them in Hydrogen Peroxide?
Requesting 2023 version 🥲
Where can i buy hello disc???
Do they ship internationally??
How is the hello disc for exercise I do jujitsu just started and not sure which one is best and I have heavy flow first 24-48 then go to about 15 ml every 4 -6 hours so could probably go longer. But my cup block my urine off . Any suggestions ?
Why are you not fond of the brand Flex?
What is auto dumping?
for some reason I can’t get the flex disc to sit up high enough past my pubic bone which causes it to leak but I have no issues with the saalt one
Would the removal loop on the hello disc not get in the way during sex?
it's designed to be tucked under and flat against the bottom for that reason
Not hangry but vangry hahaha
781st like. Thank you so much.
2024 🙋🏻♀️
Always hate the idea of the tampon such waste & messy./Not a good idea for All ♻︎⇣
◎Reusable comfortable designed cup/disc cool 4 ♀︎• I have used it since they started “)
🫧Wish for more new design.
I just tried the Saalt disc and it won’t open it just stayed scrunched up in there. Would love tips 🥲
I'm still experimenting on how to get rid of the scrunching with the saalt disc too. What I do is I keep adjusting the "bason" part of the disc until the area under the notch is smooth. When it is, that's how you know it's fitted properly.
