Pretty sure that rubber grommet/bumper on the front shaft is just a bump-stop, to keep the bottom of the strut from hitting the axel on a hard impact, but it actually just adds a half inch to the diameter of the axel in that spot, making a bump more likely, so I think aftermarket guys said F it to them. You can get universal bump stops for CVs if you feel you need it though 🤘

Are you still making videos? I saw your other video about your health issues. I hope you are doing better. I really enjoy your videos. I am slowly learning how to do stuff my own I have a 2017 Buick encore. Someone tried to take my Cadillac converter and it severely messed up my car. For some reason 3 of my tire sensors all went out. $110 each to replace at mechanic shop. I can’t pay that much so I just have to pray that my tires are OK. I never knew those went out. I just find it odd that all three of them went out. I went to fix one and right after I drove out of t the mechanic shop I noticed now the other sensor wasn’t working. I called the guy back and he said well it’s not really an issue unless it bothers you. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yes sensors in tires r not a big deal they r useless they cause failed light when winter and summer come anways yes they run about $115 each. And yeah I’m still making videos I’m recovering and going to doctor 2 times a week and doing less and light work

Wait bro isn’t the long cv axle for front wheel drive?? I have a 2010 sl awd and passenger side is the short head or am I wrong on that? Its what all searches show when buying awd?

@@RBTheMechanic interesting so I took my 2010 Murano awd sl the passanger side do axle and it was a short head installed the boot had torn up and leaked, but the thing is I was searching for the part on Amazon and it keeps showing me that the short headed on is the front passanger side? Could the previous person on the car installed the wrong cv axle on the car? Because if you are saying the car you did was 2010 awd same as mine I took it off and it’s deff the short head one that was installed and the “new” one I still can’t get it to fit I tried many tricks for “cv axle” your grease held the ring well but still nothing. So had me do more research and saw you had this video and your cv axle is with a long insert head I appreciate your feedback bro!

@@RBTheMechanic also wanted to know why did you install the long?? If the Murano you said is awd? Wouldn’t that be the wrong part for the awd?

@@RBTheMechanic Okay, i believe the car you are working on here is FWD for sure. Because i just double checked with Nissan part numbers, and FWD is long on passenger and AWD is short length passenger. But i appreciate your knowledge my friend your videos always provide so much help, specially when i did the belt tensioner last night to take it out from the power steering wheel hole. Cheers keep up the great work!
