    *The best and clearest video I've seen on this particular axel. Kudos to you.*

    Great video. Just finished replacing both of my on my '14 Pilot (188,xxx miles). Driver side was "easy" compared to the passenger side. Those 2 14mm bolts that mount the CV axle to the bracket (mid-point of the axle) were insane to remove. I can see why you didn't include that in your video (though your comments) gave me the encouragement to remove them despite how tight they were. Well after removing both of them it was plain to see why my were exceptionally difficult to remove. They were cross-threaded (confirmed by my neighbor also). MERCY. Purchased 2 new ones (8mm 1.25 pitch, class 10.5) from auto parts store and was fortunate to get the new ones threaded, though I didn't need any lock-tight that's for sure. For those concerned about these 2 bolts being a beast - yes they are and as Brian stated having an impact tool make is easier (though it was still a challenge for my impact). No issues on my test drive. Thanks again for making a great video. Not many vids on the passenger side replacement (wonder why that is?).

    God BLESS you sir!!! I watched another video and they didn’t show the removal of those two bolts. So of course me the idiots banged on it for an hour to exhaustion. Then I turn on your video and I’m like “Oh…facepalm”. Thank you Sir!!!

    7:30” Guys from up north say “yeah right”. lol. Southern boys have it easy pulling that axle out. Hahaha. Guys up North are cursing punching and praying because the damn carrier bearing is fused to the aluminum case. LOL

      Haha same issue now. How did you get your 2 bolts free? I'm hitting em with PB Blaster and a 1100ftlb torque wrench and they aren't budging .

    There is no need to hammer the rotor to breake ot loose. Screw the 2 rotor retaining screws into the two opposite holes, and they will press against the hub and break it free.

    Great video and instruction Brian, thank you! May I ask what symptom or problem did you see with this old axle? My pilot has a bit of jerking when I step on the gas right after turning right. May be it's time to change this axle.

      Go under the car and pry it off with a large flat head or a pry bar that will fit

    Did you have any vibration (vibration sound) after replacing. I replaced with same axle & hear a lot of vibration sound.

      @BrianBalatbat  Год назад

      Hi, no vibration or noise after. Double check everything. Could also be a defective axle.

      Clicking noise when turning. This one also had some wobbling when accelerating. Both went away after replacing.
