"Are you out of your mind?!"
*"Yes, completely, but that's not a recent thing."*
Best Capaldi line👏
This is how you know the Doctor is still the Doctor, because it makes think about Matt's line when he says to Amy : Im definitelly a mad man in a box. :)
“No I’m in a Dalek”
It sounds like something four would say
not the best
@@blah7983 I can imagine pretty much any doctor except maybe One, Five, Seven and War say this.
Why is nobody talking about how sad this scene was for that guy? The doctor could pull a fast one and reveal Bill isnt dead but he cant do it for Ellie
Yep. Ellie's dead.
Bill surviving had nothing to do with anything The Doctor did. He just noticed her suit battery was too low to kill her, none of the others were. Nothing he could do about that
Plot armor
We're fighting the suits. God I love Capaldi.
Oooohhh! The suits they're wearing and the Suits running the company......
....You can just....ignore my moment of happy comprehension.
Took me 3 years but I got there in the end lol
“You’re insane”
“What you just figured that out, I thought is was common knowledge”
"You're insane..." -Sherlock Holmes
"What, you're just figuring that out now?" -Jim Moriarty
It feels good to hear the "Don't forget to subscribe"-phrase from Peter again.
The Last Tree of Garsennon -- Yes.. it most certainly does! I have truly missed hearing Peter utter those familiar words! Fantastic! 😉
I never stopped hearing it, I never watched the feminist doctor episodes.
Saying grow up doesn't make the person you're referring to young, Nothing about my comment makes me look younger than you anyway, Are you offended by my comment?
Pixelgaming and Stuff Very, and your retaliation only proves me right.
@@Axodus What "feminist doctor"
'Of course, it's Bill. Fate and me, we have a thing' Awesone.
"...cuddle."🤣🤣🤣🤣
Although he's blind, the Doctor's look was priceless!

“We’re fighting the suits” . Capaldi just too good and Murray’s score is 😍
"Dying well.. it's the finish line.. it's winning!!" Epic moment. Fantastic Capaldi
@SamuelFofana Yes it is, when people die there's no more, no heaven, no hell, no after life, no punishment, no ever after happiness... And that's perfect the way it is.
I think I've worked for this company's ancestor...
They pulled the water coolers during a heatwave, because we were drinking to much, after refusing to fix the buildings AC.
...Even tho we were super profitable.
Then gave senior management a huge bonus at the end of summer. And we got $25 dollar giftcards with the suggestion we use it to BUY BOTTLED WATER.
"This is the moment you've been waiting for since the day you were born!"
"This is the moment you've been waiting for since the day you were born... subscribing to the official Doctor Who RUclips channel!"
"Fate and me, we have a thing."
In my opinion, that one line summarises the entire show.
Bill : I think I’m alive
Doctor: yes u seem to be under that impression
Nothing more relatable has ever been said
honestly I think some of the class character aspect of this episode was why I loved the 9th doctor so much, there is a lot of middle class angst written into the show that was really missing from first part of Moffat's tenure and the back end of Davis's.
"He's locked us out of the sub routine"
"OH really I thought I was just tweeting"
That was the first words of this video
I died laughing at them
00:00
That hug was adorable. Especially the childish smile of satisfaction on Bill and Nardole's face.
I am SO GLAD you kept the scene going long enough to include Nardole joining on for a cuddle.
I'm not
Series 10 is so underrated. Definitely deserves more love.
That moment when Nardole hugs Bill and the doctor was the point where I began to love the character. Up to that point I found him pointless
And they recreated that moment as a farewell in Twice Upon a Time...
That one moment made Nardole an absolute cinnamon roll
Thomas No Last Name you mean he wasn’t already?
0:02 "Oh, I'm sorry, I just thought he was tweeting!"
Could you please upload the bit where everyone goes out of the station, Bill is suffocating without her helmet and the Doctor gives her his one? It's one of the most terrifying and well-directed scenes in series 10, I love it so much.
Hey idk if u ever found it but someone uploaded it recently! ruclips.net/video/fNxfGzAmAoc/видео.html i agree, the directing paired with the writing rly makes this episode stand out
That's how you make a social commentary episode, don't just have the characters talk about it
Showing these little clips if capaldie doctor really makes me think of how much I'm gonna miss him and how much work Jodie has to do to make me like her
callum morgan I'd give it 2 episodes
@@cadefoster500 nobody made it as far as two of her episodes 🤮
@@Chilling_Chilling Now that is just a blatant lie, millions of people still watch the show and many enjoy it, so shut up and leave.
Wtf is your profile pic?
@@Chilling_Chilling nope, watched them all, just because your sexist doesnt make it bad.
Oxygen was one of the most interesting and thought-provoking Doctor Who stories for years.
Harry of Solihull it really wasn’t, a very black and white, almost childish, view of capitalism and poor resolution to the story.
Razamataz Productions Have you ever heard of an opinion?
It's literally what late-stage capitalism is, which is what we're basically in right now, so no, it's not childish. It's harsh reality. And also, space zombies.
Razamataz Productions it's the extreme point of capitalism. It's nit supposed to represent modern capitalism. Just like not all right wingers are Nazis. This is what capitalism could become if left unchecked. But currently we regulate to stop it happening
elliott collom Well, barely. Companies act similarly to this now, already. Just less extreme as "not providing oxygen to people cos it's too costly". Right now it's "people are too inefficient so we need perfection and automatization"
I have to say this episode holds the record where the companion nearly dies twice!
Doomsday?
Wrong
Rory is going to have words with Bill.
Well Bill actually died twice in World Enough and Time so I'd say that won.
In heaven sent the doctor died how many times?
This episode is genuinely a very profound deconstruction of Capitalism, and I am so impressed by the way it does this! The line "We are fighting the suits!" Is a brilliant piece of political satire. This is definitely one of my favourite episodes of new who.
Same I just saw it yesterday and now I wish I had watched season 10 a lot earlier. Instant favorite episode
The BBC has abandoned all pretence of being impartial I guess.
@@obliviouz If you ever thought the BBC was supposed to be “impartial” *OR* that Doctor Who hasn’t been an openly anti-capitalist show for 60+ years you just haven’t paid attention to anything you’ve ever watched.
@@cd8467 There's a difference between being anti-authoritarian or anti-corporatist, and being anti-capitalistic. The first two are eminently reasonable; the last is untenable outside Socialist pipe dreams.
@@obliviouz ok buddy whatever helps you sleep at night.
just bc i am kinda genuinely curious; how could you ever possibly hope to accomplish anything while being “anti-corporatist” but not “anti-capitalist” and what’s even the point of that?
Anyone who stopped watching the Capaldi era missed out on fantastic little gems like this scene.
"our deaths will be... expensive!" is one of the best ways The Doctor's stopped an enemy with words.
This, this is one of the best Doctor Who episodes. So underrated.
Capaldi was brilliant in this episode (along with every other one as well). I'm going to miss him so much. He is MY Doctor and always will be.
I loved how the cuddle the trio have at the end of 'Twice Upon a Time' was a callback to this one. Such a short and sweet moment that makes both of the scenes that much better and more emotional.
2:05 oh my, what a brilliant pun! The bill!
This was the last season of DW I watched. I still cry. I loved Capaldi so much man. Now i am catching up to Jody, because Donna is coming back i hear and I can't miss Donna 😅
You know, Capaldi is scary looking enough without giving him dead eyes. (I love it!)
“Cuddle” ahhhh I love Nardole!!
literally one of the best episodes, almost up there with The Waters of Mars and Heaven Sent.
This is an underrated episode
"I know what it takes to kill someone"
Typical twelfth doctor. Always says the right thing just at the right time😆
Even on "Mummy on the Orient Express" Episode, when the mummy almost killed the doctor😅
I'd rather say "typical doctor" ^^
Still no update on the final part of the Steven Moffat interview? Two months later?
It'd be much better if you just told us what's going on.
IMHO they forgot to upload it xD or they lost the footage
steven moffat is still trying to get people to forget that he did the comic relief speciel of doctor who and now hes made that canon by making it a woman one!
unstaible child What are you talking about
it's not moffat who made the doctor a woman; Jodie made an audition and chris chibnall and the others directors chose her for the role.
yes he did he put them to be his successors in the first place...
cuddle
so why chris chibnall wanted the doctor be all gung-ho about space amazon a few years later makes absolutely no sense
Because Chibnall couldn't write his way out of a wet paper bag
1:39 'Dying well, who wants to die well? Surely the aim should be not dying well'

Class [For Tonight we Might Die]
Peter Capaldi, will always be my favorite doctor, continues to succeed, successes
manuel chávez san martín I still liked Tom Baker with his oversized scarf and silly hat.
3:52 what to do when you have a sad friend
12 DIDNT STOP BILL AND NARDOLE HUGGING HIM IM SCREAMING.
When I watched this episode I saw the "twist" coming 10,000 miles away.
One of my favorite episodes of this series
God I love the soundtrack for this episode
Heh. When capitalism goes wrong, use more capitalism. Got to love bargaining power.
When Communism goes wrong, use more starvation. Got love gulag power.
He actually used worker bargaining power, making the solution socialism.
At the end of the episode the ending we get is a mention that after 6 months a successful rebellion took place.
@@fl00fydragon worker bargaining is NOT socialism.
@@rockspoon6528 Oh really?
Open a history book on the origins of unions.
There's a reason why the saying goes "united we bargain, divided we beg"
@@fl00fydragon unions did not effectively raise real wages in any field in history. Look back at the early automotive plants--the best paying companies outlawed unions. Unions parasitize off of their constituents, and commit extortion against their employers. No one wins. Collective bargaining is an aspect which is present in but not exclusive to unions. Don't conflate the two. And no, socialists did not invent collective bargaining, nor is it an inherently socialistic practice.
This is my 2nd favourite episode of this series after world enough and time
My favourite Capaldi episode, hands down.
It's kinda funny comparing this episode to Kerblam
Maybe the suits really do run the company.
Sirius Cybernetics products?
The way nardole says cuddle is so adorable
Love the score at the end 😢
"Space Capitalism"
WHERE ARE YOU GONNA ESCAPE TO NOW? CURRY?
I loved this episode. Peter Capaldi is so incredible 💕
3:30 Hang on wasn't her suit low on oxygen at the beginning of the episode.
I'm pretty sure the general consensus reached after World War 2 was that genocide is in the long run MUCH more costly than any short-term gains made from cost-cutting.
Not to mention the exponential wrongful death lawsuits from the surviving family members means litigation, absurdly high legal fees, and undoubtedly penal damages that would exceed tenfold whatever could be gained from cheaping out on air tanks.
Besides, in space it's more about scrubbing the CO2 back into oxygen gas than it is pumping fresh oxygen. You need to deal with CO2 regardless of oxyen supply anyways or people will suffocate in exhalation.
The workers likely signed a contract that had something about their deaths being possible, and that the company wouldn't responsible. Faking a failure of the life support system is definitely possible under that, and then they don't have to pay the workers (since they're likely paid after their tours).
It points out that the problems are not technological limitations but purposeful exploitation.
Same goes with the real world. Most goods are either already overproduced and wasted or are purposefully retained scarce.
It is possible to raise the living standard of everyone on the planet to that of a millionaire while vastly reducing the impact on the environment yesterday. However this goes against the setup of capitalism.
Dying well!
Yay, Class!
Nardole is whimpering!! xD I didn't notice before now!
I’m gonna miss that “don’t forget to click below” message...

This episode does what hard space shipbreaker aspired to do but failed at the end.

Waaaaaaaay better than Orphan 55 in my opinion.
My God, watching paint dry is better than Orphan 55.
Nardole likes his cuddles
I hope Jamie mathieson to be the successor of chibnall’s. His lines just are top-notch without any doubt.
Guy at 0:07 was the gold Ranger(Celestial Knight) in Mystic Ranger
''Y'know I never thought that was possible...dying well.''
Remember how the doctor can just heal himself and others with regeneration energy?
Remember that he has enough of it he feels comfortable playing a prank on Bill using it, which is completely unnecessary?
Why didn’t he just use it on his eyes?

The face capaldi makes when he says the capitalism line is perfect, captures the doctors mentality very well I think
“I know what it takes to kill someone in”
-The Doctor
I loveeeee those new spacesuits.
I completely forgot Bill existed
TheHeadlessWalnut Same. She wasn't exactly rememberable was she?
😂😂👍🏼👍🏼
3:53 Remember this line
dang this episode was one of the most threatening and just rough out of the 2005 reboot
Well there it goes his oxygen
This is very touching
What happened to the final part of the Steven Moffat interview????
Je n'avais jamais remarqué mais ce sont des styles de HEV comme dans Half Life!
See this is how to critique capitalism in Doctor Who
Classic who was also like this (example: The Sun Makers) Less "shove it down your throat", more show you and let you think. (also the Kerblam episode just has the opposite message of this, the workers' working conditions were never fixed, they just hired more and it was treated as a victory.)
Going from The Sun Makers and Oxygen to Kerblam hurts so much.
At least we now get Boom
