First time I've seen a car being tested on the Trough - great! I've got the very same model, 13 reg, Italian Racing Red, Ivory leather, 20" black alloys, black body pack (no chrome), sun-roof, 825W Meridian wireless set. Had it nearly five years, and I will never sell it - ever! Great review!
Have to agree with you. It oozes class and style and whilst some of the interior buttons or stalls can feel a little cheap it never fails to bring a smile to my face. It also looks stunning
I love the desing and philosophy behind British cars, but I'm so scared of high costs of repairing them. That's why I drive a 2012 Honda instead of a 2012 Jaguar, even though they cost the same to purchase.
Thanks for enthusiasm, this car deserves this video ... especially what you feel when you drive it ! It's something unique & thanks to Ian Calumn for his vision to be the Nr.1 sport saloon car ! They own it! The engineering on this car is outstanding ... somewhere smarter than Mercedes! I own it & discovered it myself ! Thanks to the Design & Engineering team! And your enthusiasm! Keep that ;)
Coming from a 19 seat cupra to a red portfolio today done a lot of research, watched your video last night but the mrs couldn’t keep off TikTok 🤬 the whole way through 🤦🏽♂️ the motorway miles are going to be bliss for my sciatica ! Thanks for the video 👍🏽
Looks lovely in silver I have to say. I have a black portfolio from 2010. I think if I renew at some point I may go for this silver. Great video as usual. Love Jags 👍
Beautiful spec that. Would love that parked outside my window. 😁 ambient lighting looks great at night too. Even the newer 2.0 Ingenium diesel linked to an 8 speed (I think) was great. Enough power for me anyway 👍
@@BarrieCrampton I would just look at it, outside my terrace, with my morning tea thinking. That's mine! 😅 let me just move it forward a bit! 🤣 It's those multi-spoke alloys. Great spec and colour. Under no circumstances do you put it in sport mode and use the paddleshift 👍
Another lovely car & a few years ago I'd be dreaming of owning one. But as daft as it might sound, having driven a "high-rise" vehicle for so long now, I don't actually feel safe / happy, in a lower sitting car.
Oh and another thing: If you go to the RUclips Audio Library in the RUclips Creator’s Studio, you can download any of those tracks, load them onto your phone and then play them on your test drives to demonstrate car speakers because they’re all copyright free tracks. 👍🏽
The best Jaguar sedan ever made. XFR with the 5 litre was the pinnacle. This twin turbo V6 is the pick for power and economy, have the same engine in my F Pace. It's a pity cars like this are a dying breed.
This is exactly the same as my car. 2012 plate XF S in Rhodium Silver. I’ve owned it since Nov 2021 and spent about £2k on it already. Wouldn’t swap it for anything.
The last thing those kids were expecting to see on their day out was one man cooking bacon from the back of a Defender and another man reading out a service history to a bunch of cameras in a Jag 😂 Nice car Jags are… don’t know why people say they’re unreliable. They’re only unreliable if they’re not maintained properly, as goes for any car.
Have to agree with Sam Dave. I've had my 2012 XF S for over 2 years now & it's been a money pit. I may have just been unlucky with the one I bought. Great looking cars & lovely to drive though.

I agree, The 3litre bmw diesel doesn't break its own crankshaft, it's more fuel efficient, cheaper to tax, is euro 6 instead of 5 and the 35d is more powerful. The 2.2 litre ford engine although more reliable is from a mondeo and transit van. Ive been looking at these jags and considering buying one but because of the above mentioned I might end up going for a 5 series, I believe the bmw would hold its value better too, these jags might end up devaluing like a rover 75.
@Barrie Crampton haha, understandable 😆 great review and great car. Hope to find a low mileage XF-S in descent condition here in the Netherlands or Belgium. Soon. ✌🏾🤙🏾
Not really a fan of a diesel. but l have a 2.0 which is very fast despite it being a 4 cylinder engine 0-60 - 5.7 seconds for me and it was hella worth it despite it being cheap

I think the performance figures you quoted are for the 240bhp model. The s model with 270 bhp has a 0-60 of 5.9 :)
Cheers 👍
I was thinking of getting a xk8 or xkr. Xk8 is 6.4 0,,-60. Xkr is 5.4sec! So 5.9 for a big heavy diesel is amazing! Plus you get better mpg😂
