- In this video we explore a underground culvert known as The Breech
Remember Shakespeare and Henry V........ " Once more my friends unto the breech, once more "
It will all become clearer in the video.
This culvert built around the 1880,s, is very steep, its only 6 foot high and is a vivid orange colour, but makes a interesting explore.
Can't help thinking of you having to go back and forth to get your video footage Patrick 📹📷
Absolutely brilliant Pat, I love this stuff. You do this stuff so well, the shots and photography 👌
Fantastic insight again, places we would never dream looking at. Thanks for sharing, can't wait for the next one. 👍
Father's day, means my TV ! Just watched this explore on the box with my young children, they loved it ! Going to show them some more of your vids now. Cheers Pat, keep up the good work.
Thanks Patrick. I'm so, so glad and lucky to have discovered you/your channel. Easily one of the most endearing of people the internet has ever given me. God bless you pal.
Great video again Patrick. Fantastic camera work as usual. You came close to filling your boots in that breech. Not for the faint of heart!
Fascinating glimpse into a world few of us get to see. Many thanks Pat. You are an inspiration to us all.
Hi Pat, the first section of culvert you explored, built in masonry, was to take the watercourse (Sough Dike) beneath the Sheffield to Manchester Railway and I suspect it would have been built around the late 1840's. The concrete extension to the culvert was presumably put in to take the water underneath the factory when it was built.
Morning Patrick.
That stonework and culvert is awesome and a tribute to the craftsmanship used to construct it.
..... I saw that you were stood like a greyhound in the slips, straining upon the start. The game was afoot and you followed your spirit, and charged up that culvert, and we cried 'God for Harry, England, and Saint Patrick"
WOW, What another amazing video Sir Pat. I know your a very brave man as I would not step foot in the culverts you do. These videos give your viewers a interesting journey which some would never do. I still await the Pat discovery show on the TV. Be careful out there and we all look forward to your next adventure.
Your video, editing and commentary skills are excellent Pat. I hope you enjoyed making this film as much as I did watching it
Thanks for taking the time to make and share this explore. The camera work starting around
Hi Patrick. Very interesting video and a bit of history too. Your explore videos are great and shows how much fun you can have exploring. I bet you can get great shots there of light painting in parts like the water and orange mud. Great video again from you Patrick!!!
Hi Patrick. Everything about your videos is great: the locations, your delivery & filming style style, and the still photography - ohh the photos are fabulous! Thank you for taking your viewers to places most would never experience. Susan, Las Vegas, NV
Recently come across your channel, and got to say, I’m very impressed.
Once again a fantastic production. Your photography in low light, to me outstanding. Well done.
Fantastic well done Patrick . I was up in Stocksbridge yesterday found some old mines very close at the end of 36DD . Cant wait for the conclusion of that one . The paper mill now in Oughtibridge has gone now flattened to the ground 😢 and lost forever. Got my first ever job there . Keep well mate all the best .
That was yet another enjoyable explore, and to know that we still make things in Britain is brilliant !
